WHERE DID LIBERALS GET THE IDEA THAT SUBSIDIES ARE A HUMAN RIGHT?

WHERE DID LIBERALS GET THE IDEA THAT SUBSIDIES ARE A HUMAN RIGHT?

WHY DO THEY THINK THAT REFUSING TO SUBSIDIZE COLLEGE/HOUSING/HEALTHCARE/ETC IS A VIOLATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS?

WHAT THE FUCK KIND OF WORLD ARE WE LIVING IN?!

Millenials are the first spoiled generation

They're raised thinking they can have whatever they want for no reason.

Ey wite boi Universal Basic Income in next u feel me?

One full of snowflakes. The day of the shovel is coming, brother.

Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness are human rights, as penned by Thomas Jefferson

College, housing and healthcare fall under all of those. Also, what kind of democracy doesnt invest in its people? Doesnt that seem counterintuitive?

Note that it says pursuit of. You're free to pursue it, but getting it isn't your right.

Youre right. I believe education falls under "pursuing happiness"

Take some marxist red pills friend, cause you´re being big assfucked from you 1% rich friends, doesnt matter what side of Sup Forums they are

>pursuit of
That means your government doesn't have the right to stop you from doing those things. They don't have a obligation to get you those things. You have life, and liberty. The person then uses those boundaries to find happiness.

Then pursue education. Which means take out the necessary loans or secure some other means of funding to pursue it.

lolno

Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness ensure that no one can legally kill you, no one can legally take away your rights, and that all men are allowed to use their property and labor skills how ever they want as long as it doesn't contradict the previous 2.

It doesn't mean you should have to pay for some faggot's liberal arts degree or for some female ape to have an abortion.

I'd rather pay to kill it than pay to raise it.

isn't it a violation of my liberty to take my money and give it to someone else, thus endangering my ability to pursue happiness?

read the fucking constitution you socialist fuck

How can one pursue happiness without health care?

The same way they did for 100+ years the country was around before the marvels of modern medicine existed.

Well the educational system is just that bad OP. We didn't even cover the civil war when I was in school.

I do take out loans. But I think it's bad for the nation that education isn't free. For profit universities bleed me dry because they know I get federal loans. The only reason I can afford the repayments is because I know there are benefits for paying on time for 20 years, and in the case of government workers, 10 years.

Like most everyone, I looked for affordability, rather than the best possible education. In an autcratic or oligarchic state, this is fine, but we're in a democracy. They are idiots everywhere. Popular idiots get elected.

I think education should mirror other western nations, where tuition is free and colleges accept students based on grades.

"Pursuit of Happiness" definitely includes a good education.

If you had read the constitution ir studied any if the founding fathers, you'd know taxation is fundamental to functioning state.

You give a bit of your wealth, we make sure your water pipes arent made of lead.

good times

>isn't it a violation of my liberty to take my money and give it to someone else
what are taxes?

>I think it's bad for the nation that education isn't free.
You can think that, but you'd be wrong. Also, only college isn't free. And if you go to a CC or a state school and not a for profit university (a choice you make, might I add), you can easily go for free if you're not a moron (who really probably shouldn't be getting higher education anyways).

You can. But "life" would be hard without.

Why would I be wrong? How does a population of idiots benefit a democracy?

Why is this so hard for you to understand? They think that it's a right because they don't know where it comes from. Fish think that water is a right, babies think that milk is a right, and liberals think that funding is a right. They don't understand that the thing they rely on has to come from somewhere and that someone else has to provide it.

taxation is theft

taxes are a necessary evil to provide for collective needs like roads, militaries, education, etc.

can you explain how a womans wish to abort her baby is part of a collective need, or for the greater good?

furthermore, the founding fathers beleived in taxation with representation, which is why we elected representatives who are abolishing the tax-funded abortions exactly in accordance with our wishes, exactly in accordance with the constitution

but pls tell me how this violates your "civil liberties"

Read up on the end of the Roman empire and the populist councils. We're about there in society. Once a bernie tier commie gets voted in it's curtains for the US.

>WHAT THE FUCK KIND OF WORLD ARE WE LIVING IN?!

A world where people never want to grow up. Personal responsibility is like kryptonite to liberals.

>democracy
WE ARE A REPUBLIC, REEEE

For the same reason promoting a kid to 5th grade who can't read is a bad idea. Lowering the quality of education by allowing people too stupid to understand the material to slow down the learning process of other, more intelligent people. Not to mention the more people have degrees, the less a degree is worth. Don't believe me? Look at marketability of people with only HS diplomas and associates' degrees over the past 20-30 years for proof.

>implying a private company can't deliver the water safely

You're living in a world where a plot of subversion enacted by the intelligence agency of a now dead nation is coming to fruition twenty-six years after its fall.

Human rights themselves are nonsense. Fascists do not allow for such national atrocities to exist. It is a disgusting weakness to inhibit the ideology of "human rights"

Where did neocons get the idea that constantly rising 'defense' budgets are a national right? Why do they think that refusing to pay for the murder of foreigners I have no problem with is a crime?

Alright, gramps

“The children now love luxury. They have bad manners, contempt for authority; they show disrespect for elders and love chatter in place of exercise.”

― Socrates

Government education just becomes an indoctrination camp.
Government needs to stay out of schools and not everyone needs a college education.
Pursuit of happiness means you can pursue happiness. It does not mean the government has to provide you with the means to do so.
Fucking retarded liberal logic.

Youre not wrong, but you misunderstand me.

Im not suggesting we hand out diplomas. Im suggesting we limit access to college based not money, but academic success. Asian countries do this and they lead the STEM field for it.

I can explain how.

In the mid 20th century, the courts decided that abortion was something a person in the country could do. At the same time, crime was rising to a peak with spread violence due to economic woes, drug abuse, etc. Now, about 30 years after Roe v Wade, crime suddenly plummeted. Why?

Everyone had a reason, but my favorite was abortion. If you account for abortion, the drop in crime makes perfect sense, Unwanted children make bad adults. The data is in Freakonomics.

Considering you only care for your morals and no doubt have plenty of sterortypes, i figured the accidental eugenics arguement would appeal to you.

And how long before we adjust the academic tests so everyone can pass the grade? So everyone can get the diploma. Has seeing the same shit happen in the public Elementary/Middle/High School systems taught you nothing? How long before oonga boongas claim "dem tests iz wacist." Or the fems cry about "muh sojiny".

Also, inb4 you get called a merit-ist.
>Some people just aren't good at things, user. I can't believe you'd discriminate against them because of it. #MeritismIsTheNewFacism

If you read the Constitution like you said you would know the 16th amendment lets the Government tax your income

>But it wasn't in the Original document

Article V of the Constitution lays out the process for amending the constitution and in 1913, the same year the (((Federal Reserve))) was created, the Amendment successfully and legally was ratified in accordance with the law.

That taxation is now on the same document as your precious liberty and if one is "guaranteed" then so is the other.

Every good Emperor in the roman empire centralized and expanded their governing body

Theyd deliver it cheaply first.

THIS CONCLUDES THIS PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT

I don't know, man.
For some reason they think you gotta spend your way out of debt.

I don't think that at all, born in '89'.

I've been out of work for 2 months, would rather go homeless than collect unemployment. If you can't provide for yourself then you should just stretch your neck.

and? this is the case for any thriving civilization.

even if your reasoning is somewhat valid on why it would benefit society, it's still my right to disagree and vote against such measures.

which is exactly what happened

suck it snowflake

see

Youre kinda right. Texas writes our textbooks, and does fucky things like "slaves worked and traveled willingly" and "indian boarding schools didnt exist"

I hope we dont lower the standards, like how the rest of the world doesnt, but wed have to elect morons who promise they would first.

maybe post some proof about those sensationalist allegations?

I mean, if you actually had such a book it would be fairly easy to take a screenshot with your phone and upload it right now

Of course. But when 10 million women worldwide bitch, youd respect their views too right?

and you were probably raised that way.
there are kids who can shed a tear and point and the toy they want just to get it. It's awful.

>Texas writes our textbooks, and does fucky things like "slaves worked and traveled willingly" and "indian boarding schools didnt exist"
How old are you faggot?
I've lived in Texas my whole life and never saw any shit like that in my textbooks.
Hell, when I was in high school they fucking started downplaying the Alamo and the Texas Revolution, siding with mexico and other bullshit.
Fuck federal interference in schools.

sure, i love impotent rage

Not sure which part of my post you were agreeing with, but I hope it was #MeritismIsTheNewFacism.

Both were high school text books,

Seeing as how im old enough to post, i no longer have them.

I do remember having to study independtly on the shit we did to the natives because texbooks didnt cover them, because our AP texts didnt, purposely.

Also, the boards that decides what goes into our education is on some kind of c-span type thing, if youre interested.

Why the fuck would anyone respect the views of a bitch?

Where did conservatives get the idea that subsidizing literally the most profitable industries was a corporate right?

You do realize America had virtually no federal taxes when it was first founded and the vast majority of revenue was made through tariffs and selling bonds?

24

I mean to say ALL textbooks are written by texan standards. I went to high school in Montana, my Dad was military.

>boomers saying how good the youngings have it
Oh the irony

They had no income tax. They taxed goods and services, as well as trade and had bonds. We were also an agricultural society, so we were pretty poor.

I look forward to what Gen X and the Millenials reaction to Gen Z.
Pic related.

>I do remember having to study independtly on the shit
You should have had to do that for most things.
I have my doubts.
We didn't even get shit like that in our books and I live in one of the last towns to be unsegregated.

desegregated*

They vote. Some of them are smart. Though i know plenty dumb ones,

Seriously, though, reproductive health is important, and id understand their feelings if a women was in charge and started saying shit like "women are the primary victims in war"

I just found it troubling that we would try to deliberately forget our history.

And you dont have to believe me anyways- i dont have proof other than anecdote.

I think a flamethrower is needed. Unless we're shoveling them into an oven.

A world where there are no heroes left in man
