As someone who has family in some of the border states, I can say that the illegal immigration problem is a huge issue in the south.
How would you feel if you were rear ended by an illegal immigrant with no driver's license and no insurance? No matter what, you are not going to get any money from them and will be stuck paying your insurance deductable.
