I used to fucking love Civ V i was basically addicted to it, literally spent a two-month break from uni playing it almost full-time. There is nothing, I repeat, NOTHING that feels better than conquering the whole world in Civ V. Its the greatest feeling ever, expanding the empire, building riches, and destroying your enemies one by one, at times fighting multi-front wars.

Unfortunately, im poor now and cant afford a laptop, I cant play Civ VI. Hopefully soon, I will buy one

I hate to do this to you but Civ VI is truly a terrible Civ game. The AI is probably the worst I have ever seen in a strategy game. If you haven't already wasted your money, at least wait until there is an expansion since modern Firaxis seem to need that to make their games enjoyable.

Civ VI unfortunately blows chunks at the moment. The AI is schizo, the tech tree is sparse, and something about it just doesn't feel right.

/agree. But, Civ 5 has had several patches to fix errors, DLC to add content. Civ 6 should get there eventually as long as they continue to support it. I would say it is on par if not a little under par as to what Civ 5 was at this same time. It was BNW that really boosted Civ 5.
