The problem I see is that Trump talked about defying Saudi Arabia, then he wants to fight their enemy Iran/Russia. He's now fighting both sides just like Obama in Syria. It's counterproductive, and just means more wars.
btw you are all jumping to conclusions, we have no intel to suggest trump will agree to intervene, and even if he does agree i am extremely doubtful it would be in a direct way that could put USA in war
