This sort of 'research' pisses me off so much. Not because its necessarily false or bad research, but because it proves the exact opposite of what they think it does, and is actually evidence for the ancient view. Let me explain.
The ancient view of sexuality was that sex was something you did, and sexual attraction was a minor component of that. In the Hebrew view if you fucked men, you were a sodomite. In the Greek view, you were a faggot [supposing you were the receiver]. In any case, what you did mattered, and how you felt about it was regarded as at best a trivial afterthought. Anyone could do gay shit, in theory. It was regarded as any other action/motivation mix, with the motivating factor [or 'temptation' in moral terms] varying between individuals.
The modern view was something entirely different. Sexuality was inborn, homosexuality was primarily something you were, the motivating factor existing in a large quantity was sufficient to prove you gay even if you neither had nor had interest in having sex with a man. Straight people were straight, gay people were gay, and the former should get over it because the latter can't help it.
The post-modern view, which is developing, is presenting itself as a gateway of decadence, saying sexuality is 'fluid' and everyone is varying degrees of bi. In effect they are presenting the ancient view, that sexuality is conduct, but they are masking it with the pretense of the modern view [that sexuality cannot be helped]. In effect, while the scientific reality is that the ancients were right, they're applying modern morality to it to try and get everyone [or that sub-set of the population with any amount of homosexual leanings] to engage in said conduct.
Its absolutely infuriating. They are on the cusp of realizing their entire theory was wrong from the start, but they keep marching on like this is simply the logical extension of the modern view and not a total contradiction.

I read the actual study, well, parts of it. They do not, in any way, conclude that straight people do not exist. Rather they found that all women are "attracted" to both sexes. The attraction is not really real attraction, it's their simulated attraction which may or may not reflect real attraction. That aside they found that even lesbians were somewhat "attracted" to men and even straight women were somewhat "attracted" to women. That's it -- surprising? Of course not. Female sexuality in a fluid way to increase bonding among partners (multiple female partners were fairly often since we know that one ALPHA get many women)
