I don't reckon that I can stand one other single of these bloody "invasion day" protests going on throughout out great nation on the anniversary of her birth. I opened up Facebook earlier and was faced with "news" under the classification of relating to Australia day. After opening it I was literally spammed with articles demanding that we "Change the date" and "Not dare celebrate this genocide". I can't take anymore lads, we need to discuss ideas of how to counter this garbage. I was thinking that we should start creating and spamming lot's of counter signal memes, and other ironic shitposts that stigmatise the people calling "invasion day" as being air heads and traitors, i.e doing to them what they've done to us; making their opinion socially unacceptable. I've also seen pic related being shared around on this board so maybe we could use facts to redpill the more lenient normies. All suggestions besides "just put up with it are welcome.
I should add, the goal should be to shift the culture so much that by this time next year, "invasion day" posters will be met with open hostility from normies.

The point is that even though the war went on for 150 odd years, there was only around 20,000 indigenous killed by steel and shot, rather than the hundreds of thousands that we are led to believe as children. It dispels the idea that there was a deliberate attempt to wipe out the aborigines, which alleviates the white guilt aspect of the invasion day propaganda. Granted, an explanation be be required to come along with it.

It's not a good basis for a meme, to be honest. That 20k number is a hangover of the history wars, it'll probably be superseded by an accurate number in the coming decade. Likewise, no legitimate historian claims 'genocide' anymore, they claim 'genocidal behaviour', as in, there was no plot to intentionally wipe out the Indigenous people at a government level, but certain individuals certainly did their best to wipe out particular groups of Indigenous. This is also supported by historical record. Essentially, on this front, the academia is way ahead of you.
You're better off hitting the casual racism mark, and reversing any attempt at white guilt with affirmative action stories from the past. These are the three memes I would hit:
1). Contrast the harshness of the life they were living with what they gained. You'll find many accounts of Indigenous people who were thankful in the early 20th century for the food provided by mission stations in the desert regions. If twins were born, it used to be common practice to kill one due to food scarcity, the mission sites reversed this.
2). Cherry pick specific historical accounts of individual Indigenous folks doing well (such as the successful farm at Coranderrk) to dispel unequal opportunity. Simultaneously, cherry pick specific historical accounts of Indigenous atrocities committed against themselves. The Native Police are a largely untapped resource in this endeavor. Also look at the historical accounts of the Battle of Pinjarra - the Indigenous people there were afraid to come in after the massacre, not because they were afraid of the government, but because they were afraid a rival tribe would ambush them and finish them off.
3). Look into the colonial history of the Spanish, the Dutch, and Imperial Japan. Begin making conflations between British colonialism and these other versions. Imagine if the Japanese had got here first, it wouldn't have been an invasion, it would have been a massacre etc...

I'm tapping out, but I'll leave you with this. It's a recent academic assessment of the number of Indigenous people killed in Queensland between 1850-1900. It adjusts the number up to ~40,000 killed in Queensland alone. These are the numbers you should expect to see legitimised over the coming decade.
However, and this peer-reviewed journal article goes into great detail on this point, almost all of those 40k were killed by other Indigenous people acting through the Native Police. It's tribe-on-tribe violence facilitated by the Colonial office, which was always good at playing natives off one another. If nothing else, you can shape this into a meme about the genocide being perpetrated against themselves, and not by the white government, seeing as 'the populous at large', as you say, still thinks of the Indigenous peoples as a single nation.
