America would see drastic improvements to almost every aspect of their country if they took basic measures to fix their out of control gun problem.
Tens of thousands of people die every year in America due to guns. Let's say that everyone of those people who were killed payed 5000$ in taxes every year (The real number is a lot more). The US government looses hundreds of millions of tax dollars every year because of people dying prematurely to firearm violence.
Now think of all the good that lost money could have done. Poverty could have been reduced, homeless vets could have been taken off the streets, education could be vastly improved in impoverished areas, etc ...
The point is this, if guns were more restricted, less people would die, and that means more people to contribute towards making America a greater country.
