If europe didnt had laws against monopoly, we woulndt even have amd x64 processors, you would have only intel only.
They literally license it to amd just to bypass the european laws.


The problem is that when using a new architecture (not x64 or x85) you need programs made for it (unless interpreted language like java) for os made for it.

And some dont even use x64 linux because of some programs linux dont have, imagine changing the architecture, that would require someone wanting to do not only a non windows program but also a non x64 program.
