Why did he run?

He's been president for a full week now. So Sup Forums WHY did he run for president? No memes, no "he wanted to get even with Obama after Obama laughed at him for looking for birth certificates", no "he had ego". If you look at interviews of trump going way back to 80s he complained about problems America had but he told them he wasn't interested in running at first. Does anyone think he had a presidential run in mind long before 2016? Sup Forums what do you think happened that made him committed to the idea of becoming president? To take on a position where a large percentage of the population would hate your ideas and policies, where your actions can have deep consequences, where every waking hour of your life your working or on the clock?

Was it 911? Was it some big economic event in the 90s? There had to be something that deep down made him commit to running.

If you looks at the interviews he's done over the years, you'll see he's criticized the government for stuff.
He probably just got annoyed with certain policies, so he decided that he could do better.

He's batman

>Does anyone think he had a presidential run in mind long before 2016?
Uhh he obviously did. He's been positioning himself to run for decades.

Maybe he just really does care about America and wants to make it as great as it can be.

>doesn't need the money
>doesn't need the influence
>doesn't need to secure a future for his children
>70 years old
He did it because he cares about America. He has nothing to gain and everything to lose, and he still ran.

Besides wanting to make america great again and getting revenge on obama, trump is the kind of guy who strives to do the next great thing and winning the presidency is the ultimate 'next great thing'

He loves America and wanted it to be great again you stupid faggot

It is well noted that Trump has been interested in running for decades, dipshit. Now was the time since the Republican field was wide open while obongo, an objectively bad president, was on his way out. Genius.

And that has nothing to do with an enormous ego. We all know his humility.

He ran because it got bad enough with the Bank Overlords, and all his friends died on 9/11

To be the serpent. An antichrist

Reminder he ran in 2000

>2000 election
>Reform party candidate while temporarily on leave from GOP
Huh.

He told you why a hundred times.

He thinks he could do the job well. And he wants someone who can do the job well. He literally ran to make America great again.

You have a bigger ego for thinking yourself superior in that regard. And what of having a big ego? He's rich, famous and mostly self made. He hijacked the Republican party against its will and still won.

The prestige. He's an incredibly successful businessman, but he's never really been taken seriously and the elites never really let him in their circles. They feel he is nouveau rich.

So he'll just become President of the US and then you have to take him seriously.

There also seem to be a big "I can do this better than those idiots" factor.

he is a sociopathic narcissist, with delusions of grandeur, believes he is the best person in the world, so he deserves to be the supreme leader of the greatest nation in the world, which is naturally his nation. he wants adulation from those who like him, and fear from those who do not. this reinforces his narcissistic belief system. he literally believes any thought that comes into his mind, if he chooses to. its a classic diagnosis. the one thing you NEVER give a sociopathic narcissist is power. you give them ONLY limits to power, and consequences, over and over again until they are forced to limit their actions, if only to remain housed, fed, and not harrassed or murdered.

Where did you get your "psychiatry" degree from, friend? Huff.com ?

His whole game plan was incidental. All he did was get up there, say some harsh truths, and get media coverage. When people responded, he started to take his shit seriously and went full dial on libshits.

I don't think he ever expected to win. This is absoltely a real life version of Man of the Year. Regardless, I hope he stays true to his promises, which seems to be the case.
