shameless self-bump

ANYBODY?!!!

>all the smart anons are asleep for work

Something tells me you're not going to get a good estimate. Infrastructure projects tend to run overbudget.

The cost varies a lot, but it's cheat once you compare with a carrier or any welfare.

UNDERBUDGET AHEAD OF SCHEDULE

>a carrier

whats that user?

Well, he could do that - if he budgets too much and sets a long-term timescale.

The reason most infrastructure projects are "overbudget" is usually an intentional downplaying of the figures, so really my point is just that we're not going to know the cost until it's done.

In any case it should be built, no matter the cost.

>he doesn't own a planning and estimating handbook

...

>trade deficit with Mexico is 60 billion
>space shuttle program was worth at least 61 billion
>1 stealth bomber costs 2 billion dollars to produce. You get 8 stealth bombers for the price of 1 wall. The US already has a fleet of 21 stealth bombers
>the development alone of the F-35 is worth 40 billion

15 bil for a wall is pricey, but not outlandish by any means.

if obama built the wall, it would take 30 years and cost 30k% more than planned.
Trump will make it quick and cheap.

I realize this could be a good opportunity to inspire some of you faggots to learn something practical.

Imagine just for a very rough estimation. This wall will be 10', 2000 miles long and made of 8"x 8" x 16" CMUs.

The only thing we'll figure is the cost of the CMUs. Nothing else.

1 mile = 5,280'

5,280' x 10' = 52,800'^2

52,800'^2 x 2000miles = 105,600,000'^2

1.125 is the square footage of the CMU

105,600,000'^2 x 1.125'^2 = 118,800,000 CMUs

118,800,000 x ~$1.75 = $207,900,000

Remember: if you can't build.
You are subhuman.

God damn burgers are stupid

The wall will pay for itself with time.

Think of it as an invesment right now op

As long as it gets built I'm happy. We'll be glad that wall is there once global warming gets a little worse. Think European migrant crisis times 100

>Remember: if you don't the cost of things & you can't do simple arithmetic.
>You should probably avoid arguing with strangers on the internet.
fxd it for you m8.

>google CMU
>concrete masonry unit
>masonry

what's the reason for that?

China built a wall for zero dollars.

Trump would need more than 8 years just to gain legal access to the land. Short of just fucking seizing it there's no way to even get this thing started before he gets dropped in 2020. What's he going to do? Eminent Domain it all? I can't think of a better rhetorical weapon for Dems in 2018.

Just focus on undoing regulations and promoting job growth you dumb redneck fuckwits. Enough with the social issue shit that's going to cost us seats.

Christ...

Noice triples
But you kinda missed the boat with having slave labour m8.

Masonry is just bricklaying.

Even if its 20b it's cheap all things considered. 120-150 per household on average which isn't much.

You probably already pay 6 gorrilion for healthcare and welfare from taxes

nice try kike

trump should hire those masons. free wall
k that was not worth the capctha

I liked it

>go to a job interview to cook a new superfertilizer made of duck feces.
>put on my scorpion jacket and racing gloves.
>enter store.
>ignore the "Employee Only" sign.
>walk straight into the interview room.
>manager says "umm, are you appyling for the open position?"
>stare out the window.
...
...
...
>"i cook"
>manager tells me they are only hiring for driving positions
>i stare at him silently for 2 minutes
>walk out the store
>a real human bean

Here are the basics.

In other words OP $8billion. Pretty cheap when you compare what kind of material you can use. You can launch a rocket launcher at it and it will not budge.

it's not gonna cost the US a single cent.

it's gonna cost Mexico mucho pesos. more if they try to weasel out of paying.

obviously, you've done all the work.

Like what this guy said since the wall is going to cost $8 billion us dollars. THat is exactly 167180000000 pesos.

Usually just overzealous promotion. Sometimes they run into unexpected issues (which is quite possible with the wall) such as the terrain being improper, or there being underground pipes they didn't plan for or whatever, but on the whole it's mostly "If we tell them flat out this building will cost $200m, they won't take it - if we tell them it'll be $100 million they'll buy in, then when it bloats to $250m construction will be too far along to feel like it's worth cancelling." (if intentional) or "Hey, look, we can do it cheaper than our competitors based on this highly idealized estimate!" (when good faith error)

We paid 27 billion for fungis in 2016 and they predicted the same for 2017 so even if it is 100 billion it is really nothing
