I thought AirBnB worked by allowing privately owned homes to "rent" their places out to customers. If that's the case isn't he going to have to ask for volunteers? Obviously he can't force his users to open their homes. So those volunteers will volunteer to take a hit to their profits. That's fine its their property. I wonder what will happen down the line when these volunteers want access to their homes back. Not to mention the condition they will be in. Remember these refugees are not the most civilized.
