The US hates Iran, and everybody else is engaged in some sort of massive bloody conflict filled with terrorism. These countries were identified by the Obama admin as having security problems, that is a non-partisan assessment. The vast vast majority of Muslims are not banned by this move, and quite a few non-Muslims are banned as well.
