I logged into my old fecesbook account and saw that one of my American relatives linked a clip from msnbc about Trump insisting on the wide spread voter fraud. I want to refute what he posted. I know about the 800k non-citizen votes, but what is there that justifies the suspicion of -wide spread- voter fraud prior to that research being publicized?
So I'm an attorney in the greater Chicago area. I saw a friend from law school post about the huge turnout of lawyers in Dallas to support people being detained by the travel ban, basically setting up in some conference space and providing pro bono legal help. I searched around and found out that, yes indeed, there is a similar group setting up to work O'Hare airport over the next couple weeks.
While I'm pro-Trump, I like using my legal background to cause trouble. I'm mulling over whether to volunteer up there later this week. I don't have anything better going on anyway.

I think they're mostly doing habeas petitions for people who have been detained. Also providing a means for people being detained to have their "rights protected" like how a public defender helps you when you're being questioned by the police. It's a general due process assurance thing.

Doesn't really work that way. It's not like I'd be doing a full court press litigation from start to finish on any particular person. It's more likely to be looking at particular cases and picking out the weak and strong facts so it can be passed up to someone who actually does immigration law.
