The average American Sup Forums user is 21 or younger and doesnt pay health insurance.
Amerifats are to stupid to understand health insurance.
Of course you should take it. Have you ever seen a medical bill? Do you want to file bankruptcy over a common cold?
There is no such thing as a free lunch. Of course you pay, stupid

Well some of your fellow Americans should maybe have a hurricane insurance lol.
No seriously, health insurance and car insurance are important. Average person is sick 10 working days per year. You need the doctor at least 1-2 times a year after the age of 28. Just do the math.
Same with car insurance. If I hit a pedestrian his medical bill could easily sum up to 1 Mio. € how am I supposed to pay for ist...? So naturally i have the insurance
Bad example. Take a broken leg if you want
>seeking medical attention for a cold

>~$62k gross (I'm a Jew Yorker)
>I pay $82 every three weeks (Unions)
The insurance is really good and covers my wife and daughter(inb4 bullshit). I stayed in the hospital for two weeks after a surgery and literally never saw a bill, also don't have to even pay copay for a certain dentists office.
Go to a Christian hospital. 90% of the time, an user donor will help....
Its like you don't even America...
I always encourage people to pursue nursing. The jobs exciting and you really do get to save lives. It's good pay great benefits and only 2 years with summers off for the nursing program. I have an AA in Nursing and make more than a lot of people with their graduate degree's.

I got a chuckle out of this. Leaf poster has government healthcare that apparently works better than ours...
In my situation I technically don't pay for health insurance. In addition to my $30+/hour pay my employeer pays over $9/hour toward my health/dental/vision.
I am not required to sign up for obongo-care.
Unions are awesome FYI. They fill a very odd void in american politics at this point.
$120k

So you live in either Cal. or N.C.
Student on minimum wage
25€/month IIRC
I'm 29
I make $80k/year
My wife makes ~$85k/year
I don't pay dick for medical costs because I have medical insurance through my work. I have to pay $20 any time I go to the doctor for a visit. That's my deductible.
Chattanooga, Tennessee cost of living is 87.50. Below the US average. I live in an affordable city and make decent money and don't pay anything for insurance.
>health insurance
kek, poor burgers.
48, 000. A year. I paid 6 years of my life for health insurance (army). Covered for life as well as a very small pension for life as well.

>burgers have to pay for healthcare
I pay 20.5% income tax, and a 5-12% sales tax depending on what's being purchased.
I pay an extra 80 bucks a month for full dental for my family through my benefits.
Whenever I've had to go to a hospital for any reason the only out of pocket cost is usually two bucks for a coffee or hot chocolate, and a couple bucks for parking.
Taxes may be high, but the peace of mind and not having to worry about money when someone you love is sick is more than worth it. A few years ago my son had to have his appendix removed, one surgery and 8 days in the hospital, and all I paid out of pocket was whatever the cost of a week long parking pass was.
I feel bad for my American friends who have to worry about money when they should be able to focus on their health and getting better.
110K a year USD

5-12 percent sales tax
Municipal Tax
Sewage water fees
Countless registration and licensing fees to do anything
On average they believe Canadians lose about 40% of their paycheck to taxes.
I make 70k a year.
I lose about 30 a year to taxes all told.
40 percent of all taxes in Canada go to healthcare.
That's, just off the top of my head 13,000 a year I pay for healthcare.
I haven't been to the hospital since 2011.
That's 6 years of paying 13,000 a year.
Of course, since I'm military, I don't even get a health card because I'm covered by private insurance.
Socialized health care is a Ponzi scheme. Look into the criticism of our system, and you'll understand how it's destined to fail within a few decades due to our aging populace.
We pay for health insurance in Canada. Ask your parents about Blue Cross or whatever your province uses. Liberals are pushing a huge tax on all private health insurance to the tune of $1000-1500 per working person.
This is a huge deal and if you honestly believe we dont pay for health care or insurance, you are delusional. It is mostly covered for free, but youd be paying hundreds for pain medicine and any speciality drugs if you didnt have basic health insurance still.
