The fact that Britain is basically being threatened and extorted over wanting to leave it and it has suppressed democratic referendums regarding its overreach suggests that it isn't a voluntary union that you can get out of once you get in, it seems more like a power-hungry institution looking out for its own interests, which doesn't really seem like a trade agreement union which was supposedly the original idea.

I personaly study law in the university, we see in every classes we have how they are pushing their agenda on everything, every institutions we have, a lot of laws we have, it's something that most of people don't realise since they are not familiar with laws, but it's a constant war between the union and the institutions of every members of the EU, and they are always threatening and extorting the nations to bow to their will. Of course since we have puppets as leader they almost always comply.

The US was originally supposed to function more like Europe than it does now, each state was given a huge amount of sovereignty and secession from the country was legally allowed in the original constitution if a state was upset with the direction the US was taking or headed in. Then the Civil War happened and it was basically determined that individual states have no rights and they are completely subservient to the federal government and have to take orders from it involving federal funding, resettlement of people, etc. Europe seems to be going down the same path but instead of state sovereignty being threatened it's national sovereignty, and it kind of looks like the EU wants to make a monolithic Europe without much national representation or sovereignty.

Just look at how simplified international trade is within Europe now compared to 1991. I'm not a big fan of the EU overall but it's not universally terrible, it has done some good stuff regarding freedom within its member states, especially with regards to trade between them. The only major problem is that the big power players can set the rules so unequally, so that a state like Germany can have massive influence over the whole thing because it's economy is so large and therefore set up tariffs, deals, quotas, etc. more in its favor than in other nations'.

You take money from the rich countries while dodging any responsibility, so I'm sure it has improved things for you.

I live in switzerland. We moved here 13 years ago. Our gov is actually controlled by the people of the counry and not by unelected super jews and our living quality is one of the highest in the world. At a cultural level they're fundamentally authoritarian I think, at least moreso than most other European people. You can even see it going back so far as their philosophers, like Hegel, Kant, Schopenhauer, or Nietzsche, not exactly French enlightenment-tier or Lockean-style English classical liberalism. Plus as a country they were only even formed under a strict authoritarian military leader bringing a bunch of people together who otherwise didn't get along under a strict military-style dictatorship which Prussia completely controlled, with every other state/province merely being a puppet.
