>Head was kept on a stake for 20 years as a warning
>Is considered a martyr by the catholic church and was almost sainted
>The clay near where his body was buried is considered holy and is rumored to have healing powers

Literally nothing. Maybe that my grandpa was from 6 children, and only he survived WWII.

Distant relative to one of the hillside stranglers. No one in the family talks about it.

My great-great grandfather was an officer in the SS. My grandma even told me that she was proud of him. God bless her

Why not

Ahh, she told me Willy Sovndal was a nice young man in the late 70's/early 80's

Great! Never flown in a helicopter before!

I'm descended from Captain John Underhill, a colonial militia officer who was so lethal in combat the Indians simply gave up after he murdered the first couple thousand with just a hundred men in his company, and the Dutch built the Wall Street fortification to keep him at bay, to which he responded by building a house across the street on the ground where Trinity Church now stands.

great grand father was SS higher up

My great great grandmother used to be in the contraband of alcohol between Italy and Jugoslavia, she got arrested once and she spent a night in jail. When i go to the cemetery at my family grave i look at her photo and can't help but giggle. She lost her husband in WWI and almost lost her son in WWII

I have a fairly interesting family history but of all them the greatest irony is that my great grandfather was one of the most prolific early 20th century non-Jewish Zionists in the United Kingdom.

He was a commander of the Jewish Legion during the Palestine Campaign in 1917 where he became friends with Benzion Nethanyahu, he became godfather to Yonatan (who was named after him) and Benjamin ( the current PM of Israel). He even had a stamp produced to commemerate his death and he was eventually interred in Israel near where his unit lost many of their men.

convicts?

some grandfather like 100 odd years ago killed 12 family members on christmas, escaped jail after a year and killed another guy.
was then shot.

my grandads father was very very high up in british navy responsible for killing a fair few gooks

no, I could ask my mother, she's doing this research
why?

Great grandpa (mother's maternal side) was german living in Croatia and served the SS in there. Another Grandpa (mother's paternal side) fought against Tito's partisans in what now is Bosnia.

Grandpa (father's side) served under Franco in Spain before coming here.

Fighting commies is in my blood

Just curious

>Great-great-grandpa and his brother lived in a village in central Bosnia during Ottoman occupation
>Turkish marauders would regularly sweep across the countryside pillaging and raping
>One night, 5 of them came to the brothers house
>The brothers were poor peasants who had very little food
>They had cooked a cauldron of bean stew
>The Turks wanted to eat all their stew and leave them starving
>the brothers took axes, killed the Turks, chopped them into bits and fed them to their pigs

It's a family story, not sure if true, but fills me with pride regardless.

Father was the driver of a high ranked general in Moscow

There are cities, streets and castles in Germany that bear our family name. Politically and economically, we have always been important.

Also, one of my grandfathers (from fathers side) was in the Ustase, and the other one (from mothers side) was in the communist partisan resistance. They supposedly crossed paths during the war, and then met again when my parents started going out.

everyone on my moms side(including her) have died from breast cancer. rotting titty clan.

I am a descendant of Orson Pratt, an original member of the Quorum of Twelve Apostles of the Church of the Latter Day Saints (aka Mormons).

He was a polygamist. If it wasn't for the fact that he banged like eight broads, I wouldn't be here today.

Including the men?

>Great-Grandfather was a Jew who fought for Germany in WWI
>When he went to Auschwitz they allowed him to ride with the Nazi officers because he was a veteran

>Distant cousin got involved with the mob, had to drive up to Alaska in a stolen ice cream truck to escape

>The main character in Police Squad and The Naked Gun is based off my grandfather

>Some of my maternal ancestors were the original settlers of Minnesota area

My ancestors were KANGS AND QUEENS.

My grandfather was a workaholic who had a bunch of medals. Too bad I didn't look into them. He also probably had a gun, but my memories of it are really blurry. He was also probably a commie, but that's uncertain

My ancestor was a Field Hetman in Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth.

no, forgot to add that.

Guys actually die by the thousands of breast cancer, Patterson

>workaholic

My granfather was a sailor and he traveled around the globe twice

My great grandfather was a flying ace during WW2. He had 9 confirmed victories.

He was in the RCAF.

Ah I was wondering because that would be pretty rare for a line of men. My condolences for the loss of you mother.

Yeah I know, lots of people don't seem to realise men can get it. Probably because men that do get it are embarassed.

And nice work, I was purposely vague to see if anyone could figure out who it was.

Not very vague, really
There are hundreds of pages about you grandfather on Israeli news

Don't think it'll be wise to answer this in an FBI honeypot thread, but are you Scot or are you Alan? After John's son it's all very murky

> Great Uncle survived a kamikaze attack from the tojo's during WW2
> Grandfather worked on the Manhattan Project
> I'm in the same direct family tree as Andrew Jackson, so, killing redskins

> My step grandfather bred horses for the Olympics
> My uncle manages one of the original PGA courses (not in competitive play anymore)
> My half brothers grandfather is Joseph Goebbels

I think I'm missing some stuff

One of my ancestors was hanged for stealing a horse

>Great-grandpa as a high ranking official escorted Elvis, the Beatles, Eisenhower, Kennedy, Johnson, and Nixon, talked to them enough to have opinions on their personalities (except for the musicians who he didn't like)
>a few generations later the family is in poverty

Ben Franklin was a godfather to one of my maternal ancestors.

My grandfather on my father's side served with the Italian infantry in Africa in WW2, and my grandfather on my mom's side was from Bavaria and was a low level soldier in the SS that served on the eastern front.

> My half brothers grandfather is Joseph Goebbels

my barber's adopted half brother's nephue's grandmother from his paternal side bought a golden retriever off of a man who had personally shook hitler's hand. True story

my grandmother was nuked in hiroshima and lived because she had to go into the basement of the building to get supplies for her floor. everyone else not behind a foot or more of concrete was either killed then or horribly burned and killed later by radiation.

Famous pasta named after us.

She lived in the American occupation zone. So, no.

Brazilian Pasta?

My grandfather was a huge Lithuanian communist, he was an artillery batallion commander in the Red Army during WW2. After the war ended, he was still involved in the communist politics, so there were 3 assasination attempts on him by Lithuanian rebels. In the third attempt, they gathered up his family in his house, shot all of them infront of his eyes, and just as they were about to shoot him, he managed to jump out the window and escape. He picked up his then at the time girlfriend (my grandmother) and ran to Latvia, where he lived out his days, having 12 children. He died in 1987.
I found this out only about 2 weeks ago.

tfw your grandfather was a soviet commie rat

Nothing, but Napoleons and his troops marched through my ancestor's village when they were on their way to Russia

>farm was sold
>greedy kids split money and family legacy lost

>Great-Grandfather fought in Stalingrad,Berlin and Prague for the Soviets
>Grandfather was captured as a POW and sent to a forced labor camp, Eventually released by Soviet Troops
