it's *ultimately* anti-freedom in the sense that with no rule of law and no powerful group who at least has some semblance of serving the public to step in and protect your liberties, things start to turn to shit. smart assholes will attempt to create something akin to the mob or act as warlords and take away everyone else's freedoms. alternatively, the public might decide to turn into something akin to an angry mob and act on whoever they feel like without acknowledging an individual's own liberties (in our society). or there's the classic "what do you mean i can't sell my kids?"
They are extreme, idealized versions of Liberty. You're so free that there is no government to tell you what to do. Ideal for you average westerner who has no sense of kinship to his Neighbors and no love for his nation. Obviously they can't really work in the real world.
But they are decidedly more freedom based than what you credit them.

anarchists genuinely seem to believe in the good side of human nature, and believe that this is what will keep things from falling apart. i would personally believe that humans are, at our core, violent and horrible creatures who only overcame such disgusting tendencies through logical thought which was partially influenced by our nature to care for our young. people must be taught to be invested in the welfare of others and respecting the rights of others, or they won't really care unless they've developed some kind of feelings of kinship or love towards that person already, and a society with no set in stone rules on the matter cannot begin to teach them that if the parents fail to.
this could have been solved in a number of ways that don't involve any of the ideologies i listed. like purging all gubberment regulation or funding that relates to social justice garbage and pseudo sciences; you know, make these fields completely uneconomical so entering it is a death sentence. or relentlessly pointing and laughing at these people if they say anything stupid, or just confronting them in a "HERE'S WHERE YOU'RE WRONG" manner on any public forums they may attempt to enter, explaining to them and everyone else where they fucked up. eventually the message will get through, and at the very least you will make an example out of them for anyone not suckered in yet to witness.
