Wow, who would have thought that countries from the same part of the world and languages stemming from the shared roots and years of interaction would have similar words of similar meaning!

Also, it's not in just those two languages that you have similar words. Czech have much more similar language when it comes to Poland, though often it sounds completely weird to us (something between the type of talk parents do when cooing to babies and drug-fueled ramblings) and they cannot understand us much at all outside of particular words (I suspect our regular sentence structure is much more unfamiliar to them than theirs is to us).
