After I saw pic related it occurred to me that perhaps memes should be banned under the Geneva conventions.

Land mines, and biological / chemical weapons are banned because they cannot be controlled once released. They kill indiscriminately and can wind up destroying innocent third parties or even the people who used them in the first place. They can lay dormant for years or even decades and then suddenly wreak havoc when least expected.
