Trades

Are they just a meme? If not, which is the best?

They'll be a meme to automation.

But Trump doesn't know that.

Prostitution

depends on what is in demand in your area

We're having a tradesmen shortage in the UK, so all of them.

>Work as an Accounting assistant
>Hopefully looking to become an actual accountant soon
>Handle Construction company accounts

Holy fuck lads they get paid TOP money for the shit they do.

hahahahahaahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahaahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaahahahahahahahahahahahahahaahhaahhaahahahahahahahahahahaahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

I dropped out of college and started construction training this week.. Want to be a Carpenter.

I absolutely love it.

>he fell for the robots-will-do-all-plumbing-jobs-in-five-years meme

Yes, because there is automation that will rewire your whole house for you ? Or redo your plumbing, or run heavy machinery, build houses and structures, build and repair bridges, or work on high voltage wires?

I just dropped an accountancy course, at college and I'm debating what I want to do.

I'm a supervisor in petroleum construction and service field

I make great money and work for a small family ran company after working for a large corporation doing similar work

It's great if you're smart, personable, can talk shit and back it up etc etc

Organize white youth and inspire them to take on apprenticeships. Don't let the mudslimes end you.

Did you go to college for that, or go to tradeschool?

Most people I know did went into meme fields like 'media studies' or 'music'. I'm the only one going into a trade.

tiling and framing are great, well paid and fairly clean. Plumbing and Electric is high pay. Masonry is also high pay but its heavy as fuck. I'm a mason, home foundations and veneers are where it's at, but you cant work in the winter most of the time

Sounds like you are the smart one then

this so mch

Automation only replaces cashier jobs and assembly jobs, nothing has come close to replacing what human hands can do in terms of dexterity, and likely nothing will within the next 50 years

I was the only one to graduate highschool, out of them.

Accountancy and Bookkeeping also. It's one of the many reasons why I dropped my college course, doing it.

Steel forger reporting in. Good exercise and pay but it's a fuckwit of a job in summer.

I'm going to trade school / starting an apprenticeship in a couple of month. I'm going to be an electrician, i'll either specialize in robot technology, data & communication or offshore/renewable energy
Does Sup Forums have any recommendations before i chose? I don't mind working long hours

Seems to me that data and comms would have the most job openings and I can't really imagine that industry is going to decline any time soon...unless we figure out a way to send the internet wirelessly

you are going to make bank.

Much of it's personal preference.

Carpentry, electrical, plumbing probably require the most know-how and training.

You can be a painter, drywaller, or framer however with very little training - you can just work for one of these contractors for awhile as a grunt and pick up enough knowledge to basically start your own small company within a year or two.

I ran a drywall company, had 8 employees, and I only had about 1 year of experience working for someone prior.

Carpentry is probably the most rewarding (to me) just because I find it to be an amazing feeling to see your work materialize into something larger. I find it extremely satisfying.

But yea definitely not a meme, you can make sick money with most trades, and the path to being your own boss and starting your own small business is also very accessible, much more so than if you have a college degree where the path to self-employment is often next to impossible.

Make sure you enjoy that field. Don't do what I did and bomb out half way through.

>tfw joining the merchant marines later this year
>tfw 50k starting with free food and no need for rent

I'm starting to enjoy the idea of carpentry.

Go for welding senpi, eazy shit just sort of hot in the summer time. Started at 25/hr first job and got a job instantly

It's not a meme. You can make as much money as you are willing to work. Post uni salary cucks work 14 hours for 20k, but in trades you can make bank at any age. If you work as a bricklayer you can make good money, tarmac motorways you can make big money too.

If I had a time machine I'd learn to underwater weld as it's insane money for a dangerous job. All manual work takes a physical toll, but working on rigs actuallys pays enough for it.

I'm currently working doing machine operation with granite and stone and it's great. Lots of programming and lifting plus no emails and no out of hours stress.

Really? I nearly joined the Royal Engineers and I would've been on £18,000 a year or $22,000

Steel forging sounds interesting. I want to learn it soon now that im welding.

Blacksmithing sounds cool as well.

Also, what role are you in?

Being small and talking shit nailed it. People always imagine big companies to be welll run machines that are hard to compete against but they really aren't. Just taking care of clients and doing a good job destroys all the pakis a big company can hire and all their savings on material costs.

oh, some high paying ones.

Steel forging's basically blacksmithing on an industrial scale.

You are only allowed to do underwater welding for a certain about of years because its so dangerous. But 100/hr is super temping for the job.

Thanks, user.

Robot repairman.
Learn now.
Avoid the rush...

You get that training in the army here, if you join the the Royal Engineers.

It's a red pill job but requires blue pill politics to keep it so lucrative.

So I am torn on one hand I respect them for their choice to avoid office faggotry and to make sure that they can't be replaced with immigrants using strict licensing that can only be attained here but on the other hand I despise them because they charge way too much and they vote for the shitskin invasion so they can make bank building apartments for shitskin tenants and gook buyers.

what about computer science degree or coding?

or doctors?

Nah! Most tradesmen are redpilled. Especially here in the UK. Some of the most redpilled people I've ever met have been electricians.

When I was working at a bar there was an old guy who drank there everyday and spent a fortune. He used to do underwater welding and was crushed so had basically half his body replaced with metal. His wife died too so he just retired early and drank like a king for years. It was pretty sad but he always had about 300 quid on him every time he entered the pub. Proper geezer.

Yeah but I bet they're not voting UKIP or whatever.

Isn't the computer science field a bit over-saturated?

Electrician

Most people fear electricity and respect those guys.

Second this.

Friend went to vocational school for 11th & 12th grade instead of regular high school and started making ~$40k less than two years after, granted he had to work 60hrs/wk.

Depends, most tradesmen I know vote Conservative and voted leave. It's only the doleheads and snobs who really voted remain.

>tradesmen
>bluepilled

What the fuck lad. Try and find a brickie who's name ends with stein

merchant marines arent us marines

My bad.

Point being, dipshits, is that the jobs will decrease in availability drastically as automation improves.

They are. Every tradesman I know hates immigrants. Trump won because he cares about the working man. None of us are commies.

I think plumbing is good. Looks a lot easier mentally. People look down on it when they're young so when plumbers get older they are in good demand.

Changing taps and fixing toilets is basic yet it seems ok to charge $150 or more just for 10-20 minutes work.

100%

Guy I work with is a machine engineer and the boards are so insane no one else can go near them. He basically travels the world dealing with these specific machines for bank

This 100%. That's what I do, and I do just fine. Why go to Staples or Best Buy when you can go to someone you trust?

Electrical Engineering Technology

> electrical
>requiring know how or training
I made electricians obsolete in less than a year of doing HVAC. Cheaper to just rent a license and let someone who does more than just pull cable handle shit. Sparkies are the biggest retards out there.

In area where the average salary is 26k I'll give you a break down of the rough yearly earnings of the big trades here.t.

>electrician: 15/hr-84k top end guys can call their rate and aren't exactly on the same easy to place scale as the rest.
>Plumber: 42k-86k depending on specialties
>HVAC: 40k-160k depending on specialties
>Mechanics: 28k-120k big jump once you know your shit and work at a commission dealership
Not exactly a meme.

They charge like £80 pounds an hour here.

carpentry don't think pays major bank though, could be wrong. now electrician, floor layer a few years ago(like stone n wood). welder, plumber.

I am saying they probably vote for the shitskin invasion because they make a lot of money out of it. I'm not saying they love the immigrants or anything, it's just a cash cow for them.

water/wastewater operator

water is life

>Stone Mason/Electrician
>Make about $250,000 - $315,00 for 6 months of stone masonry
>can break $400,000/Y if I do temp work as an electrician over the winter

No. I work safety administration and the workers I look after make way more money than me for basic stuff. If you don't care about free time you can become a millionaire in superstructure projects work in 10 years.

Fuck a duck. Yet I bet you never see a sand nigger or Asian plumber. That's why they can charge that much. Same in Australia.

Really? Both the shitskins and eastern Europeans are taking their jobs.

We aren't cuckservatives. All the fucking jews and "fiscal conservatives" are pro immigrant because they make money off of pakis. Being in a community where I feel at home is more important than getting rich.

Exactly. Trades always nail this as they are working on people's biggest assets like cars and houses. No one gives a fuck who makes toilet roll but you wouldn't trust the same guys making the floor under your kids cot.

Electrician. It's one of the few trades where you won't destroy your body by retirement age.

I've met a few from Hong Kong, they're quite chill.

The common trades involve doing installations in half finished buildings, in shitty weather, on sites that aren't paved. You can't get a robot to do that shit.

I'm a machinist. It's alright. It pays $20 Canadian per hour which is less than $15.50 US.

>Changing taps and fixing toilets is basic yet it seems ok to charge $150 or more just for 10-20 minutes work.
Well yeah, lead costs are huge ranging from 60-180 dollars so you have to charge a decent amount. Plumbing isn't too complex but it's a pain in the ass.

Thank god for my Basin wrench, do some small time residential plumbing on the side for extra dosh.

I say nigger, spic, and faggot every single day.

The Leaf's right on this one. Even though a lot of tradies are immigrants themselves they fucking hate the freeloading new arrivals because when they came to Australia they had to work to survive

save your money, buy small bushiness. pest company owner said if he didn't make 10,000 a week he couldn't sleep at night. our was that 50,000.

Really? I've seen apprenticeships go better than that, here in the UK.

you have to understand that while computers are great at problem solving, they can only do what is programmed in them to do. This is why people are still operating machines and creating code, because the human brain isnt hindered by this. That is until quantum computers become a thing, but until then we depend on our neuroplasticity exclusively for computing related jobs

Well they still get to charge 80 pounds an hour. I've never seen a shitskin tradie.

We have Korean painters but that doesn't require local licensing.

You're wrong. If a guy does a bad job that firm/client won't call them again.

One thing you will find on trades is that Indians hire Indians, but over time they have to replace the Indian contractors with white ones. Eventually Indian property developers have to swallow the pill to deliver enough quality to make money and have an all white list of contacts. Bad work = no work in trades. Pajeets need not apply

Dude do you know much about flocculation?

The top three highest paying trades in the Land of Freedom are:

>Elevator Technician/Mechanic
>Electrician
>Plumber

In that order.

t. Civil/Structural Project Engineer

The city I live in has the most Chinese in the country. Bound to see a few go into trades. Not true of most of the country.

>I am saying they probably vote for the shitskin invasion because they make a lot of money out of it.
Get a load of this faggot. Tradesmen vote red 99/100 times. They don't give a shit who pays them, but to say they actively encourage the destruction of the west? Nigga they built the west.

>A C3PO robot will fix the plumbing in my house.
>robots will also drive an 18 wheeler through heavy construction,
>robots will do everything,

Please fuck off back to redlit. If you knew fucking shit about robotics or economics, you would be humbled by how fucking impossible it is to have a FULLY automated task without any human interaction.

Ugh... That's my industry. Work for GCs who do ENR upgrades, Reconstructions, etc.

Fuck those construction contracts. They're ridiculous!

>add the polymers
>make the flocc
>suck off the clean
>filter
>???
>profit

Doctors will go down before some of the trades. A lot of what they do could be automated away and wipe out the low end ones, or maybe send them to the rural areas.

Not that I know of.
I get 3-4 calls a week from recruiters.

Electrician reporting in, good money and easy work

Fuck off sparky scum.

Good to know.

Merchant marines? Wtf is that?

Do you get a lot of British sprakies there?

It's a gay club.

I have cut stone sedimentation. Can I just add aluminium sulphate? Trying to make a closed loop water system for clean water intakes on machines. I have a batch to test on Monday so if it works it will be less money to the waterjew

I've been an electrician for almost 20 years, always been employed, always in demand.
Good money. Easy work if you just do domestic. That bored me so I work industrial HV and specialise in marine installations.
Also helps to learn cross trade skills. I done MIG and MMA welding as I got sick of waiting for welding squads to install earthing points.

Is there much barrier to entry regarding experience?

Don't do it. You'll have a lifetime of regret. I'm 41 years old now and just a stupid industrial mechanic. Go to college and make something of yourself.

Gotta check the polarization of the sedimentation in order to guarantee efficiency, but it should work just fine.
