Is the Democratic Party pretty much dead? The most recent election seems like it pretty much put the final nail in coffin. It seems like Democrats have pretty much no power on any level of government and the Supreme Court is only getting more conservative or moderate at worst. Despite the heavy liberal push by the media, they still lost to one of the most hated Republicans, ever.
How long will it take for the Democrats to even recover from this if they even can? They've pretty much got nothing except a bunch of angry minorities in California.
Don't worry - the Republican Party will implode any day now and the dems will clean this shit up (as always)

As far as government power is concerned, the Democratic party is dead in the water. As far as support, they're as strong as ever but support means nothing without results and this election was too important for them to fuck up. But yeah, it's going to take decades to fix this. They're fucked.

They will recover once Republitards crash the economy FOR THE THIRD TIME and Dem president will be needed to clean it up.
Christopher Taylor
No not yet. They have 48 seats in the Senate and Republicans are stuck with that Liberal lady from Maine who joins Democrats fairly often. Not to mention any number of McCain Establishment types. So while they are crumbling at the State level, which is reflected in the House, they can still cause trouble in the Senate and through Activist Judges.
Trends would suggest they are going to loose more Senate seats during the midterms, and after 2 years Trump will have had time to replace a number of Obama's judicial appointments. Future looks bright, but don't let your guard down. These people driving the agenda don't give a single fuck about the country or its people, so they'll push things as far and as hard as they possibly can to retain as much power and influence as they can.
Cooper Gray
Yes
Hillary Clinton was the absolute worst thing that ever happened to the DNC. She absolutely destroyed it.
She personified everything that was wrong with the party. She maginified its many flaws and further alienated potential voters.
69 million people voted for Obama in 2008. Only 63 voted for Hillary. Literally millions of people left the Democratic Party because of her

This debacle was probably a good thing for Dems. They're probably going to fill their ranks with somewhat more moderate people.
HRC was really a horrible candidate - she brought no voters whatsoever. Think about it, if you were a woman who'd vote for a candidate just because said candidate is another woman, you wouldn't be voting for Trump anyways. The urban and college crowds would vote Democrat anyways. The Spics would vote against Trump regardless of who the other candidate was.
All Democrat Party had to do was nominate a decent, moderate candidate, preferably a fringe member who could attack some of Obama's more unpopular policies and they'd wrap it up easily.
Trump energized white people who felt disenfranchised by the blatant pandering to minorities and foreigners. A more moderate Democrat candidate, preferably from a red state, preferably with military background would nullify the only card Trump had, while not losing a lot of, if any, Hillary's voters
Parker Reyes
This was inherited policy from the Clinton administration, which preferentially allowed banks which gave out high risk loans to merge while those that did not withered and died.

No, they're already pulling even further to the left.
The riots and violence will only continue to alienate mainstream voters.
The Republicans control the house, the senate, the White House and the vast majority of state and local governments, along with a massive majority of counties in the US
Trump will nominate three people to the Supreme Court. Massive deportations and the wall will drastically effect democratic strongholds. Both of these things will doom the dnc in the long run

latinos are more conservative than urban whites. socialist whites are more likely to have blue collar background/voting base and are thus more likely to be moderate.
the cancer of Democrat party is pandering to college kids and urbanites while ignoring the rest. Just because it worked for Obama doesn't mean it would work for significantly less popular HRC (also Obama had an easier time what with Dubya's presidency, being a genuinely novel face on the political stage and 12% votes guaranteed from the get go)

You are right, which is why I think the dems are fucking up badly right now.
But also, no, latinos are not conservative except for cubans, at least not significantly more so than liberal whites
Michael Gonzalez
we'll see. In a year or two, you can bet that some Kentucky democrat with tours in Iraq and Afghanistan will become all the rage.
If Trump continues getting sidetracked with these minor issues and continues blowing his top off every time his office gets challenged I don't see how he'll cope with imminent trade war with China, another insurgency that's bound to rise up somewhere in Middle East, Obamacare and everything else.
I might be a bit biased because I don't like him, but he's infinitely better than HRC
Parker Long
The dems were saying that about the Republican party prior to Trump winning. Hell the republicans were having a civil war within the party. The ONLY reason they won the presidency and took back the senate was because of Trump.
The Dems will recover if they get more populist which at this point they seem to be failing at royally.

Yes, I think we need to focus on the media and education.
Media = traditional media is collapsing and alt media is growing so that's good
Education = the institutions of leftist indoctrination probably should be fought through privatization and budget cuts.
Angel Wilson
If the debacle that was that debate for new DNC leadership is any indication, no they're not going for more moderate people.
Because they won the popular vote they are going with the mindset that they were actually right about everything and that it's just Republicans that don't understand how THEY need to do what Democrats want.
Most of the problems the Democrats face stem from their desire to respect credentials. They think if someone is a 'scientist' that it means their opinions on all science must be respected (even if the person is a gender's studies professor).
They think if someone is a journalist that they are going to report what is true, as long as they work for what is considered a 'respected' outlet while also supporting the general consensus liberals have reached.
It doesn't occur to them that these people can simply be saying what people want to hear or that they could be actively lying to support their own politics. Like the labor statistics the Obama White House had changed to affect what was defined as unemployed. Liberals liked the idea of Obama having lower unemployment since it made them feel good, so they never questioned where his numbers were coming from and think it's just ridiculous lies to talk about how people running out of time to be on unemployment could be considered employed by the government.
Until Democrats realize that their desire to respect credentials has led to them becoming blind to the faults with the news reported to them, they will not look at themselves to see what is actually a problem with any of their policies. Many of them still even think Republicans were what was preventing Obama from furthering any of his fantastic policies when he had congress for a couple years to do whatever he had wanted and he showed no interest in ever reaching across the aisle.
Gavin Myers
first of all, these riots are contained to few cities. as recent elections showed there's more to USA than NY and LA.
second, a lot of people have invested a lot of money in Dem party to have it taken by hair dyed transqueers and whatnot. now that they've been BTFO, you best believe that a new roster will rise out of the ashes.
third. as hard it might be for some people to admit, Trump didn't win in a landslide, GOP did mop the Congress, but again that has more to do with fatigue of having a Democrat in charge (how many times did a party take three consecutive terms).
I have no doubt that Democrat party 2 years from now will be way more conservative, albeit with more latinos, women than the current cuckery, headed by a cold blooded snake.
Dominic Carter

This is true. Dems treat their political party with a religious fervor. But because of this devotion they are lacking the ability to criticize and correct their own ranks. As such they are currently stuck in a "No true Scotsman" loop and keep pushing out moderates and slight left leaners. Hell they've begun alienating the gays to appease the muslim vote.
And since they've pushed so hard and so far to the left they don't have a good exit plan without angering the very people they were trying to appeal to in the first place.

The Republican party chose to evolve with the nomination of Trump. The Democrats had a chance to evolve into something new with Bernie, but they chose implosion over evolution. Their only hope is to have celebrities like Lady Gaga and The Rock run on the social justice platform, but there aren't enough celebrities in enough states to become a national party again.
Oliver Ward
>as hard it might be for some people to admit, Trump didn't win in a landslide
In the swing states, yeah he kinda did. That's why it seemed obvious from early on that he'd win. After unskewing the polls to have them instead represent the demographics of the regions polled, it was obvious that in every major swing state that Trump was doing extremely well while Hillary only did well in major leftist regions like California and New York.
Many don't realize this happened because they still don't even believe there was any attempt to skew the polls by oversampling Democrats.
There's also the matter of the voter fraud occurring with illegals voting which having a national voter ID would kinda fuck over. Luckily we have a president that actually gives a shit about voter fraud and will probably want to do something about it.
Nolan Cruz
Clinton set up the economy for a big crash, and it was all just down hill from GWB to Obama (who was basically Bush 2 in terms of Fed support)

>. As such they are currently stuck in a "No true Scotsman" loop
I like the label "Motte and Bailey" argument.
Because they do have firm ideas of what they consider feminism, racism, and equality to be. But like when they talk about "Free Speech" amongst themselves it's obvious that they're in favor of restricting free speech, yet when criticized will retreat to the more respectable definition of "free speech" as though it's what they meant all along even if anyone that was paying attention the whole time knows that wasn't the case.
This style of argument works really well when you're stuck having to follow the Democrat's arguments rather than being able to require the Democrats to follow the conservatives' arguments. Problem is that once people start paying attention to those criticizing the person using this kind of argument, it is easy enough to have the various holes in their arguments shown for what they are. This was a lot easier to do in this past election by appropriate memes that helped to convey fairly complex ideas with just some quick images or phrases.
Once Democrats lost their hold on the media due to conservatives and Sup Forums dominating social media, web forums, and youtube, it meant the Democrats had nowhere to retreat.

>first of all, these riots are contained to few cities. Hillary only won A FEW CITIES! Something like 3,125 districts in the country, and Hillary won less than 500 of them. More than half of her total votes came from one state, California. So yeah, the riots are happening exactly in the handful of big, corrupt, Democrat Monopoly cities that she won.
>second, a lot of people have invested a lot of money in Dem party to have it taken by hair dyed transqueers and whatnot. Yes, and that's exactly their problem. The useful idiots have woken up to the reality of the DNC. They could clone Jim Webb at this point and it wouldn't matter. The DNC proudly embraced BLM Terrorism, Globalism, and Illegal Immigration to appeal to the Useful Idiots. But then exposed themselves as Establishment Crooks. Nobody is going to vote for them now. They burned the bridge at both ends, and as long as the Leftist MSM continues its Kamikaze attack on Trump there's no room to even begin the long, slow process of "rebranding" their public image.
>third. as hard it might be for some people to admit, Trump didn't win in a landslide, Yes, yes he did, already delt with above. And no the Dems aren't putting moderates in, theyve been talking about the son of one of the founders of La Raza as a future leader of the DNC. They are not climbing out of this hole for at least a decade.

As much as I don't want to admit it, I don't see the republicans being able to have this much power for much longer. Just seems impossible with how indoctrinated kids get in school. There will come a day when our numbers are not enough.

Why do retards keep mentioning him when he had the weakest support base of any democratic candidate to run for office? His supporters were loud but not numerous and he lacked the minority and moderate vote, the lifeblood of the Democrat party whom only became relevant when they went center left after enduring decades of irrelevance in the face of Republicans
Noah Powell
>weakest support base of any democratic candidate to run for office Not true, if DWS hadn't poisoned the well, as her folk are wont to do, he would have swept the DNC convention and taken the nomination. He could possibly have beaten Trump.
Carter Lewis
2018 Senate Election Republicans have 8 seats up compared to 23 Democratic seats. The thing that's even worse for the Dems is that the seats the Republicans are defending are in Conservative seats.Meanwhile you have Democrat senators in North Dakota,Missouri,Indiana and West Virginia who are at risk of losing their seats.
Luis Russell
>He could possibly have beaten Trump.
A lot of Democrats still hate socialists. He was seen as the gibsmedats nominee which a lot of folks did not want at all. Trump held back when criticizing him so it's hard to say how they would have done against each other, but given everything Trump had to work with it's hard to see Sanders ever beating Trump.

This is the beginning of the end for the corrupt Democratic state. They see now that they need to change, and they will. Conservatives will never recover from the shame of Trump. Hes making the entire country a bad fucking joke.
Matthew Perez
democrats assume minorities will all swing their way. they dont count on them assimilating, climbing the ladder, becoming successful and eventually voting like mainstream whites. look at the exit polls, thats what 1/3 or asians and latinos did. black people are incorrigibly fucked and will always be the democrats' bitch though. at this point, democrats can only get coastal elites' votes and the lowest tier of the american underclass. the rest of see through all that cry baby bullshit and will continue to not vote for them. we might see the rise of a third prominent party though.
Ryder Powell
Uh...? Bernie was waaaaaay better than Trump in every way, and appealed far more to independents. He was just like Trump, except not a hotheaded retard with 1000 scandals under his belt. He would have easily swamped Trump.

LOL they have appointed a fucking Muslim who is pro-Sharia to head the DNC.
Robert Ramirez
You mean Keith Ellison? He actually got the job?
If so, well that proves my point doesn't it. They think minorities will keep voting for them no matter what as long as they push a progressive agenda and the white working class will keep voting for them. Hell, if they nominate a black disabled transgender muslim in 2020 I wouldn't be surprised
Nolan Roberts
Usually parties have 2-3 people being trained to be possible replacements for the current leadership, getting them media attention to build up their personna etc. However the democrats haven't done this, since in their world Hillary was gonna win 100% certain. Not only do they distance themselves further from regular voters by swinging farther left (if Trump does okay he will get all the voters in the middle), they have also no people in their backpocket being trained to be the partys leader. They only have 4 years to get some new blood rolled out if they want even a slight chance at contesting Trump, but they are so far up their asses right now they think they can get him impeached somehow.
Democrats will probably take another election before they realize just how much in shit they are. Currently they are blind because they have the media as their allies, so they think a majority of the country is on their side. MAYBE after next election they come to their senses, whether the it is too late is another question though. If voters start voting 3rd party seriously, the Dems will die before the republicans.
Blake Smith
take the bogpill
Luis Lewis
Yeah but they're still fucked without their voting fraud tricks, doubly so once the wetbacks are gone. Biometric voter ID is coming very soon. The DNC will never survive it.
What will happen, I expect, is that the Greens will become much more powerful, and perhaps some Bernie-fueled party as well, both syphoning many votes from the DNC, while at the same time the moderate Democrats will lose more people to the RNC.
Anyway they are completely fucked and midterms will be their final shoah. It's going to be glorious.
Luke Jackson
The election is on 2/25. Tom Perez will win.
Levi Lewis
My bad, I thought Keith was already in.
Charles Nelson
Too early to tell.
2018 Mid term election will give us an idea.

Jaxson Carter
It will be after THIS:
Do you want to dismantle the left? The DEFINITIVE bombshell just dropped right into our laps.
Isaac Powell
I really hope you're right. Without Voter ID the dems will lose a ton of votes, that'll screw up places like MI etc. Also if they keep blaming everyone but themselves for losing they'll probably have a hard time winning. A lot of the white working class will probably defect to the GOP if Trump brings back jobs. It'll be topkek, the party will destroy itself and Soros will be able to do nothing about it. GOOD RIDDANCE! Unless of course the dems start becoming sensible, but they won't. I can't wait for 2018, they're going to lose big. Looking good.
