The reason for asking is because alot of stuff is written in a jokingly manner, even some racists saying its all a joke and they arent really racist.

Ever since Trump got elected I'm noticing a lot of "tumblr-tier' behavior on popular mediums such as JewTube, etc.
It's really turning me off. I got out of my classical liberal/free market capitalist usual stuff to get Trump in, shilled for him, etc. and I like what he's doing so far, don't get me wrong. But now that's he's in power, the script has been flipped and it's like the Reddit Army is attacking but they are all Pepe the Frog natsoc types.
I feel like Dems/leftists keep their ranks in order.

Depends on who you look at. Dipping your toes in the shallow end, you'll find shit posters who throw memes for keks, shits and giggles but in truth are disenfranchised liberals or common conservatives.
Then as you paddle to the middle, you'll find people who hold close to tradition and religion as well as nationalism, but still are quite libertarian.
Then as you submerge to the deep end, you'll find the people who are die hard nazi, Hitler worshipping, genuine Ethno nationalists, white supremacists, who deny the holocaust completely, or even further to the bottom of the deep end, yearn for the genocide of other races and are all for complete fascism.
TLDR: Take pol with a grain of salt. Me personally, I'm just a Natlibertarian. Mostly in between the shallow and middle section.

"Alt-Right" is a leftist word invented because nobody gives a fuck about being called racist or nazi anymore. Unsurprisingly, it's equally ineffective for its intended purpose of silencing people, because leftist are shit at everything they attempt.
That's just Sup Forums specifically.
Ironically, the most reliable Republican voter bloc is Christian, white, social conservatives with free market tendencies.
The Democrats are a large coalition of social liberals, socialists, communists, interventionists, globalists, etc. Which is why they pander so hard to those groups where Trump can win with a single, hard hitting message.
Sup Forums and earlier /new/ has historically been a bastion for natsocs, classical liberals, libertarians, some monarchists, some anarchists, and basically anything else that is outside of the mainstream. We fuck with each other and give each other shit, but this past year we recognized the legitimate existential threat to ALL of us. Under normal circumstances as a classical liberal I don't hang out with or work with natsocs, because we don't agree on a lot of things, but I fond myself working my ass off with them and everyone else to meme Trump to the presidency, because we ALL needed that.
Now that we have accomplished that goal, the Grand Army of the Re/pol/blic has more or less demobilized, with the most die hard ones holding the torch ready to gather us back together if we are needed.
