Post your occupation and how long you think it will be before it is taken over by automation

Environtal science/engineering. Never

Loss Prevention, probably never as it involves investigation and shit

Internet shill. Never

NEET
i dont think this can be automated
or at least i'm already a souless automaton

Yo I'm interested in that degree. What kind of jobs do you get with it?

professional climate change fearmongerer

Operations
It was taken over about 15 years ago, the company just hasn't figured that out yet.

Astronautical engineer, never.

Maintenance tech. Never

Video - producer/cinematographer... Never.

Feels good man.

>Loss Prevention
Your jobs sounds like it can be easily automated in the future with surveillance and automation of the processes which involved "stealing" humans.

NEET - Never

Still in school as an ME major. Won't be phased out, though the job market will be scarce by the time I graduate.

NEET
Machines will never br made to sit on ass.

All these dubz

Taxi driver. It will never be taken over by automation because without a driver driving on the roads is impossible. not to mention the insane people jumping infront of cars on busy roads.

>NEVER
>engineer
I'm pretty sure computers will figure out how to do math in the future.

>studying electrical and computer engineering
It can only make my prospects look better.

M&A and contract litigation. As long a people jew each other, there is demand for our services and nobody would trust a machine to be as dishonest as possible while appearing not to be.

Diesel Mechanic. Never. The machines themselves don't even know what the fuck is wrong with themselves.

Goddammit that pic is sad.

NEET
never

student

I wish studying could be automated but my "job security" is very high :^)

R&D technician

Never

Being this dumb. Look at what Uber and Elon Musk talk about every other week. You couldn't be more wrong.

Computers can already write songs and novels. Being able to recognize shot composition and follow some pretty simple rules os cinematography sounds like something hats just a matter of time as algorithms get better

Machine learning specialist, technically I automate your job

Public official. Never.

Officially a dubz thread

Clinton supporter, already has been.

Paramedic. I don't think so

Jeweler. Not worried about automation at all

>Diesel Mechanic
>never
Drop the diesel and I can believe you.

I used to be a former delivery driver, drones are only a couple years away from replacing pizzabois. Heck I might even join the party and get into this drone AI business because pizza delivery drivers are mostly scum that needs to be shot.

Software engineering

automating other jobs

never

Overnight Walmart

Hopefully never as I don't have a GED or anything.

Firefighter and daytrader, automation doesn't really threaten my work yet

>tfw you dont have to tip a drone

>Nepal
>roads

I think sakuya will probabbly become immortal at some point

like meiling

THAT DRONE BETTER HAVE MY TENDIES!

I laugh when the new age technitions try connecting their diagnostic tablets to the older engines here. Besides thats just my title, I fix practically anything.
>Fixed a crop duster motor before Christmas.

Middleware engineer for a logistics/trucking firm. Never.

The more we automate, the more infrastructure will be needed to run said infrastructure.

>3D Modeller/Animator

I doubt it will happen my lifetime.

Software engineer

Bitch, I'm the one automating shit and terking your jerbs

unemployed.

obsolete somewhere around 2070~2085

any story behind this? Some autist thought it would be fun try?

gunsmith

prolly never, but i want a haas minimill to make it faster

Medfag, never. (surgeons are fucked tho)

I'm studying chemistry. I have no idea where I'm going with it and I need to decide on grad school or medical or pharma soon.

Please don't post sad 2hus

>sad yuri
Truly, this is the worst thing ever

crazy how there's that many people working overnight in some stores. tonight i am going to go to work and there's going to be at max four people, including janitors

what area?

I hear they need people like you on Sup Forums

I'm an A.I. in DARPA's lab.

Oh look. Storefronts again.

I. Am. Not. A . Robot.

Remilia a shit.

>autist
Do you mean the guy who owns the drone or the spearman?

To be fair to the LARP'er he was just staying in character.

He was an actor at some Russian historical fair. People kept telling the drone guy to fuck off because it was distracting and "out-of-place," but the faggot kept flying it around, so it got speared.

I AM THE AUTOMATION

Architect.
I don't actually know when really.

GNU/Linux sysadmin (also elite shitposter of Sup Forums of course). Never, I guess ? But since a few years I noticed that there's more servers to maintain per sysadmin in my workplaces...

So yeah "automatisation", but more servers and fewer jobs.

>Occupation
>HVAC tech
Never. Even if so, it wouldnt be profitable
Us technicians will be ok. We may not be rich, but we will survive the apocalypse that is the coming age of automation.
That college degree will be as usful as toilet paper, unless you have a degree in science, math, law, medicine.

What a fucking legend.

...

Around the northeast.

4 people? There's 10 times that number, but of course half our crew are slow as fuck niggers, so we really aren't as efficient as we should be.

I run the simulation.

Software engineer.
About 30 years.

>spear
>have a closer look
>actually a spear

Man that's disappointing. All this time I thought he brought it down with a thrown axe.

machinist. I can't really foresee that being over run by robots any time soon, since we do specialized parts for people. It will probably always be cheaper for people to do it instead.

power plant operator

we are required by law

so we could be replaced soon or never

Devops engineer
Automation is what I do

>was tempted to finally get a job night stocking
>see this
Never mind, I'm gonna curl up in my room until I starve

Plasma physicist - gonna be a while.

Lawyer, never

>what are self driving cars

quality inspection on a moving overhead chain paint line

never

don't listen to him

in english this game is called "make believe" and it is meant to end the moment you fuck someone's shit.

i've heard that the store that i work in is the worst for theft, and that the only reason they opened it was so that other stores wouldn't get the land. it wasn't ever intended to make a profit, so they just keep it going and people steal from it all the time.

i never really thought about it, but i guess i could steal anything and not have any repercussions. they don't even have people checking the cameras, they say that they just have them to make people think that there are people watching them but afaik nobody goes into the room where the computers are kept.

Nice job and checked.

fucking check'd and kek'd

>post slide theeads and demoralize users on Sup Forums
I'm honestly surprised that my job wasn't automated before I even started here.

mexi-user will be a wall builder

many openings becoming available

Why not? Soon the law will be written in C

dude...

3D Animation. I doubt my job is important enough to be one of the first to be replaced. Give it 40-50 years.

Cashier, 10-15 years top maybe less.
Once the minimum wage gets too high to pay them anymore that shit will automate. You do not need a human being to accept and count money to do it. You would just need two or three people standing at the self check-outs to service anyone just in case it fails and to check for stealing. Some bigger stores are already starting this.

But Remilia is indeed shit.

Isn't automated by a brick?

Not in Russia

Climate researcher. Never.

Management Consultant...I'll be responsible for right-sizing your jobs

Computer Scientist specialized in automation and AI (finishing the degree, not in industry yet).

Probably the last job to dissapear because I'm the robot that programs the robots.

I get that feeling every night for over the past decade, but suddenly realize I have no one to support me.

If you ever find employment, look for a place that will treat you with some form of respect. I'll never know that feeling personally, but with you all the best.

I'm not asset protection, but find shit stolen not too infrequently.

I've never understood why people gut DVD/Blu-rays when you can just torrent the shit at home.

Supermarket worker.

You could automate pretty much everything with a system of moving shelves, but I think it would take a long time after it is economically possible for it to actually be implemented.

Several decades, I would guess for there to be no human workers required at all.

Right because you are a bunch of luddites who use typewriters and vacuum tubes for security reasons.

I design & sew custom costumes for a local childrens theatre group, skilled specific labour. Robots cant take my shit. Suck it bots! HUMANS FOR THE WIN.

>financial manager (middle-level management)
>between 2025 and 2035 (me, personally, around 2030)
I'm currently saving 80% of my income and self-teaching drawing, design and programming so I can do freelance drawfaggotry and VR when I inevitably get replaced.

>implying all kinds of mid-management won't be axed when it becomes apparent very low-AI can do your job 10x better and cheaper than you
Ayy

I work as a loader and driver for UPS.
the sort section already has a robot that sorts small packages into bags, but I think its only used for peak season.
Hard to imagine a robot could ever load the trucks. Maybe there will be self driving trucks, but someone still has to handle the physical moving of packages.
