Is Austria a rightful german clay? What Austrians think of Germany? Do you feel yourselves to be the part of a german nation? Whats the thoughts on reunification? I understand that its not quite the same way that we have with Ukraine since Austria even had its own empire, but it seems to me it still would be better for them to be part of Germany.

Fucking Russian faggot desperate for Ukrainian land, I see.
>Is Austria a rightful german clay?
Germany is rightful Austrian clay.
>What Austrians think of Germany?
By far the most annoying group of people at my university.
>Do you feel yourselves to be the part of a german nation?
No.
>Whats the thoughts on reunification?
Never.
>Is Austria a rightful german clay?
WE WUZ ROMAN EMPIRE and shit.
and at these times there germans where living in the woods like smurfs
>What Austrians think of Germany?
most austrians dont really like them. its like we are USA and they where Canada. you know... ghaaay...
>Do you feel yourselves to be the part of a german nation?
no
>Whats the thoughts on reunification?
we only take bavaria
Cucks. Germany is shit these days, but Austria is and always has been part of the German nation and the post-sixties idea of a separate Austrian nation is pathetic and artificial.
Nope. Austria is austrian clay. Ukraine is ukrainian clay. End of conversation.
>Cucks. Germany is shit these days, but Bavaria is and always has been part of the Austrian Empire and the post-sixties idea of a separate Austrian nation is pathetic and artificial.
fixed that for you
That doesn't make.any sense though...
This and this.
We will never be ruled by prussian schweinehunde.
>Is Austria a rightful german clay?
Austrians were always a mix of all ethnicities of the "old" empire. look at the phonebook, tons of czech, polish, hungarian names in the northeast, slovenian in the south, italian and alemanic-german in the west.
>What Austrians think of Germany?
Inferiority complex, first they wanted to be the better germans, now most people hate them. every victory against them is highly glorified (see football game in cordoba 1978)
>Do you feel yourselves to be the part of a german nation?
Definetely not, only burschenschaft-loonies cheer for that shit.
>Whats the thoughts on reunification?
lol no
>I understand that its not quite the same way that we have with Ukraine since Austria even had its own empire, but it seems to me it still would be better for them to be part of Germany.
A is far nicer than germany, noone would trade.
>Great Britain is shit these days, but Australia is and always has been part of the British Empire and the post-thirties idea of a separate Australian nation is pathetic and artificial.
The difference is that Austria was a sovereign nation, empire and leader of the Holy Roman Empire prior to the Anschluss.
I am trying to read this post, but it doesn't make any sense for me. What does it say?
No. German unification was a mistake.
Bavarian here, pls liberate.
I agree with your altered quote friend. Australia is a fundamentally British country. Just as the idea of a separate Austrian identity is as absurd as an separate Kentish (for instance) identity would be in England.
i see why you lost a war against birds
Original and thought provoking.
>one of the oldest nations of europe
>absurd identity
dude wat. next thing you´ll say that serbs are croats and wallonians are french
Stop locking up girls in basements!
Are there any similarities between any Austrian dialects and Bavarian? Being in Munich and then going to Salzburg, I didn't notice any great difference in the people or what was spoken (learned Hoch Deutsch for 5 years). Or was I just looking at it with tourist perspective?
It means keep your hands to yourself.
most of austria speaks so called bavarian variations, only in the far west (parts of tyrol & whole vorarlberg) they speak allemanic, similar to swiss. both very different from preussian variations.
old autochtonous minorities of slovenes in the south, hungarians & croats in the east
>oldest nations
Please give me a pre-XXth century reference that refers to the Austrians as a separate people from their neighbours
It's the same language sub group but the Bavarian dialect is still quite easy to differentiate from the Austrian one.
I suggest you to buy a history book, this gets embarrassing
Curious Ausbro here
So i take it Austria is closer in culture and similarity to the Bavarian regions?
Also what do you think about South Tyrol, rightful Austrian clay?
They have a little brother complex.
>writing out centuries in Roman numerals
Hello, Pole.
maybe you look into a history book, lad. modern nationalism was a fabrication of the post-1848-times, main identification factors before were your religion, your immediate ruler etc. the modern "nation" as we know it was merely a concept before that
>So i take it Austria is closer in culture and similarity to the Bavarian regions?
Yes.
>Also what do you think about South Tyrol, rightful Austrian clay?
Yes. Fuck Italy.
YESSSSSS
No ethnic German-Austrian considered himself non German until well into the 20th century. Even Dollfuss et al. never dared denying Austria's German identity even as they tried to maintain independence
It's more like we do not want to be considered part of your cuckold nation in any way
>Also what do you think about South Tyrol, rightful Austrian clay?
>Yes. Fuck Italy.
So how does Austria get it back?
Even though everybody who lives there is obviously Austrian and the region should be part of Austria, countries just don't make transfers like that these days, even if it makes perfect sense to do so.
thing is, austria dun goofed in terms of south tyrol. lost it in ww1, traded it in ww2, hitler made a pact with mussolini to get rid of all german speakers in south tyrol - either you assimilated and spoke italian (lose your culture & language) or you migrated in the reich.
Separation referendum, but it will never be recognized by the powers that be.
Look at whats happening with the basques.
basically no need to, they have a yuge autonomy. there was rightwing terror in the 60s & 70s, italians came and arrested tons of people. but they did know that too much oppression would end in chaos so they basically gave them german schools, street signs, media etc. noone complains there about anything, 2nd best autonomy pact in europe after catalonia
>yuge
We'll never escape this now, will we?
I didn't realise that South Tyrol was originally Raetic clay.
The Raeti were a Tribe that derived from the original Etruscans then of course Germanics settlers forcefully took over in 500AD.
Actually most of Austria was Celtic clay till the German invasion.
So you germans are a bit like modern americans and us where we can only claim ownership of our land for a short period of time after kicking the original inhabitants out.
austrians + south germans >>>> other germans
wtf dude look at the history of europe/the world, people were moving back and forth all the time. different conquests, plagues, wars etc.
Fully agreed, aussiebro the concept of a different people (as in the modern sense of a nation) wouldn't have much sense in earlier times. They would think you mean the next village, or the people over the river that speak a different language. The first mention of austria as distinct different region is over 1000 years old, or going back to celtish times it's even older.
Yeah we are mostly descents of the invading germans, mixed with whoever came through since then.
Vorarlbergerisch doesn't even sound like German. I have no idea how anyone learns German there because it's just muttering and grunts. Probably the best looking part of Austria, though.
Bavaria is about as close as you get to Austria in Germany, but Austria is distinct.
The only place you can really see the similarities is in the borders, as you would except, but more so in Salzburg and the northern part of Tyrol. The architecture might be similar, but the outlook on life is totally different. Things are done at a slower pace, the people are friendlier, the streets are cleaner, they're easy going.
It's different. South Tyrol and the people in it have no real wish to be part of Austria as they have such a good deal with Italy. They're essentially left to their own devices, to the point where if they left Austria they wouldn't be as well off. They're for greater independence but not necessarily a reunification with Austria.
I would live in Austria, again, if it wasn't part of the EU. Fine country.
I agree that Europe's history is one of migration and invasion, its just that claims of ownership are a lot more nuanced when you realise you were not the original inhabitants.
So then when are you Austrianbros going to procoaim a national sorry day to the Celts?
dude don´t apply the frustrations of your political realities on europe
as said in this thread, whole of europe is mixed af since hundreds of years, noone gives a shit except of butthurt nazis
GIB NORTH TYROL
truth is austria is a part of germany, but we were conditioned to think/feel otherwise.
divide and conquer.
but at the moment no austrian feels like a german and germany is more fucked up than we are..so it's good, I guess.
GIB TRIEST AND VENICE
GIB BACK CELTIC CLAY!
so theyre the finland of germany then
>Is Austria a rightful german clay?
no, it IS german clay in denial no such thing as an Austrian nation. Is post WW2 and artificial.
>What Austrians think of Germany?
They are mostly ignorant of their cultural indentity and history and pretend to be something else than Germans. Many dislike the Germans on a superficial level because we are so much more important and powerful than them yet deep inside they know we are one people. But keep in mind that German identity is generally much more complex than other nations identities Germany always had different German cultures and cultural centers and Austria is just another one. Austria couldnt is extremely dependant on us and secretly want us to be succesful.
>Whats the thoughts on reunification?
Just a matter of time.
>Austria even had its own empire...
Austria didn't have "it's own" empire it was a German crown and empire (House of Habsburg was German) there were simply several German royal clans competing. Prussia vs Austria is also referred to as "German Dualism" Read the Austrian hymns they repeatedly make reference to their German identity.
>but Bavaria is and always has been part of the Austrian Empire
it's the other way around nigger. Austria literally means eastern realm (of the bavarians). It literally came to existance through bavarian traitors.
lol at ur post, suckit kartoffelsalat.
erdäpfelrace rules the alps
...
Im Bavarian, nigger. My gf is from Innsbruck, im cucking you on a nearly daily basis. Bavaria is more powerful than Austria there is literally no reason for me to be butthurt.
And today "Germany" is land conquered by Prussia. We like to keep that German Dualism, thank you very much. Stay mad.
bavaria is indeed more powerful, what an argument you 9year old bully. still lol at your statements alter. austria =/= deitschlond
Germany is rightful australian clay
Let's talk.
GIB BACK TASMANIA YOU SMELLY GUIDO!
>what an argument you 9year old bully
>bully
>pol
>TASMANIA
is it actually independent? i have no idea i thought it is part of Australia?
>germany is more fucked up than we are
no, we are fucked up even more than germany but you are blind to it.
