We're all total failures. That's why we rage about the real world on a temporary message board. The only success Sup Forums has had in years is getting Trump elected which is why people are so excited about it.
If you're good with boxes join UPS and become a driver
You'll be making $90k after 3 years of driving
Fact: if you had loser friends you'd feel much better about yourself.
Or if you want something new go to community college for HVAC
Put in your time and then open your own HVAC company
Richest guy I know runs an HVAC company and dicks rich housewives all day long while his crew does the work
>You'll be making $90k after 3 years of driving
No fucking way? How?
I'm thinking of getting a CDL and driving oil out in the mid west or some shit
Dude I'm 19 and I make $35 an hour while being a full time student. You're just a dropkick hahahaha.
Fact: if you have loser friends you will end up a loser yourself.
If you have successful friends, you are more likely to be successful yourself.
>you are who you surround yourself with
Well, I'm still working on the house and married w/ kids part, but other than that, I guess I'm okay.
Amazon isn't so bad as my gap year gig. I got PA after three months and now I get to shitpost with my friends all day.
Money isn't everything; happiness is.
>you are who you surround yourself with
>tfw no friends
>a temporary message board
>implying the /eternals/ on Sup Forums are false advertising
$17 an hour inspecting car seats built by lazy chinks. Who gives a fuck, I have enough for a nice computer, rent and anything I want to eat +5 weeks vacation. Maybe in five years I'll find a nice Gen Z girl to marry.
>No fucking way? How?
Working your ass off and doing overtime
Every poster on Sup Forums makes at least triple the national avg income
This makes me laugh all the time
Also what do you do if you graduated with a useless degree/something you realize too late you dont give a fuck about? Or rather, graduated with no actual plan or idea of what to do after?
Those jobs are extremely hard to get and very competitive. you won't just start off as a driver either, they'll work you like a dog sorting packages in your feet all day. They also expect you to have done temp work during their holiday season where you ride along with a driver. The routes only open up when a driver retires or dies and even the guys who I knew recited from that job were pulling in 70k
If you can actually get land it then it's probably the easiest job with the best pay in the world though
that's actually really true, but i've always been wondering if it's a network type of thing or an influence type of thing
by the former, i mean that knowing succesful people will allow you to be able to take more opportunities given by them and thus become successful yourself, and by the latter i mean that you feel like such a basic bitch being surrounded by successful people that you pick up the slack in order to preserve your own dignity
either way if you want to be successful, successful friends are definitely helpful
stick with people who build you up in their conversations
Dingo dollars can't buy shit though.
im a hs and cc dropout 26 kv neet who lives off of disabilities!
before getting on bux i was jumping in and out of homeless shelters. the funny thing is i legitametly dont consider myself a loser and am grateful for my position in life lol :^)
my dream and what im working towards is getting a remote cabin in northern canada and going full innawoods prenoke style
You kill yourself.
Collect the neetbux. I laugh at the wagecucks that make 15 dollars an hour while I sit on my ass all day and get free money
Checked.
In lieu of suicide, I'll take that metaphorically to recreate myself. I dont wanna die ;_;
Work an entry level job and make your way until you figure something out. Maybe that will never happen, and you're destined to be a balding regional manager at some retail store. It depends entirely on how hungry and pragmatic you are.
You get pennies, not enough to live on your own and be somewhat comfy
underrated
Hey dude, there's hope.
> Me
> 24, worthless degree in philosophy

> Won't move back home out of pure shame
> Visit job fair at my old college as a hail mary
> Bank has internship position for people majoring in finance, econ, accounting, and business administration
> I sign up despite not being qualified
> I get a call for an interview
> Bring me resume to interview
> MFW interviewer doesn't read it or see that I was a philosophy major
> He's excited when he hears I already graduated, since that means I can start working right away and be available during the internship
> All other interns majored in finance and econ
> I fake being an econ major for four months
> Work and study harder than anyone because I'm afraid of getting caught as an impostor

> I was one of them

TL;DR: I took a chance, got some people to believe I was more qualified than I really was, worked hard to make up for my shortcomings and got hired to a job with upward mobility.
Don't listen to this edgemaster; just apply for a shitton of jobs both related to your degree and not. Knew a buddy who did poetry in college (kek) and wound up loving his job as copy editor of a magazine. You never know
dont worry man i only work during the summer doing concrete in new jersey for like 27 bucks an hour, then get a shitty job in colorado for the winter and ski all winter. youll make it, just try and get a trade in construction save your money and find a hobby to keep you preoccupied that you can possibly make money off of
>made the thread again
You sad slaves to money.
It honestly feels great as a son to Indian immigrants to be more successful than the majority of the so called ""white master race"".
Maybe you should learn a thing or two from immigrants before you scapegoat all your problems onto them. Perhaps learn from the work ethics of Chinese and Indians? But anyway I don't blame you guys. Most of you are failures and low lives. You're the dregs of society and will always be that way which is why you cling to white identity politics to try to overcome feelings of inferiority.
Face it white man. Your time is over. Sexually you are failing to compete with blacks. And academically you are failing to compete with Asians. You've become a mediocre joke of a race. It's about time you went away. You're no longer needed. Die already. Maybe we can finish you off? The Western World belongs to Asians. And we will improve it. You've squandered you subhuman roaches. You're a disgrace.
>last semester in electrical engineering

>dont feel like studying or doing work
>never got an internship
>think I may actually be retarded now because I can't force myself to do anything
>depression consumes my life
>topics are amazing, but can't be bothered to study
I'm going to have a bachelors in electrical engineering with a bad GPA and no internship. Should I kill myself or is there hope?
$135k at 27... still poorfag in NYC
400k a year math phd here.
The average salary is 25k in the US. People that tell you that they're Wendy's Chefs making 90k a year are memeing.
Get a skill, work your ass off, and look for opportunities.
Maybe don't be a total loser
How do you work in finance despite not knowing/haven't received training in finance?
You could also start as a brakeman at a railroad and work your way up to driving trains
The drivers make $80-100k or more but you'll have weird hours and have zero home life so you have to be ok with that
The average Sup Forums user is a sysadmin making 200k-300k out of college. It's easy as fuck, get a math major and anyone can do it.
>most Sup Forums users are making 60-120k, own a house, are married with kids
>Math Ph.D.
>making ANY money
Most hobos you see have a Ph. D. in math, it's a worthless degree
Was about to say. Gonna be a driver in a little under a month. Really looking forward to the pay increase
What company do you move boxes for?
How can I be like you, user?
t. user looking to get into business/finance and B-School but undergrad in non-stem degree
I work at a nursery and grow medical marijuana to stay paid over the off season. Not rich, but very cozy.
>tfw The American Dream is not dead
lol... newsflash 99% of "finance" is pencil pushing and bean counting any idiot with excel could do
It's a /biz/ meme, Alejandro
I make 61K as a Software Engineer at 23 years old
You must be skipping out on the FBI data dump threads
The key is getting a MBA with your maths Ph.D. and working on wall street designing trading algorithms for $500k + huge bonuses
Apply for any job that requires a degree, even if it wasn't your field of study.
Some employers just want to see that you can be dedicated enough to go through years of shit.
Maybe not medical though.
>open your own HVAC company
This so much, go do mini split install on craigslist, mint some money.
Amazon
I work as an executive chef at Wendy's making 6 gorillion dollars
>26
>interning at an investment bank
>been there for almost a year
>just found out today that they can't offer me a salaried position until June, even though I was given the impression that it would be this month
I've been working for free for a year just to get my first salaried job and I'm still not there. I went to a top ten b-school and graduated with a pretty decent (3.57) GPA. I don't fucking get it. Sometimes I just want to give up, but I know that I'll only regret it if I do.
Guys , just work hard doing what you love to do and save all your money. Invest in stocks short term and ling term. Look into penny stocks and even gamble and take risks. Don't be a pussy. Get out, work, workout and use the law of attraction to manifest.
Shit man, I only have one fat stinky friend but he's a total bro, no matter how shit i treat him he keeps coming back, I mean i'm not a total scumbag to him buy i kind of suck.
There's few jobs where school is actually necessary to do the job, and all those jobs also have a strong component of on the job training (ie asking people you work with what to do until you get it). Realistically, if whatever degree you're pursuing doesn't have you basically doing the job you're expected to do, you're doing little more than lining the college's pockets.
My old scout master had a PhD in math from Oxford. He made made bank working in the government's meteorology department and retired at 45.
shoulda gone into trades
how is this any better than niggers on gibsmedats??
>I've been working for free for a year
wtf isnt there laws against this?
get a jew and sue the hell out of them
No it's not. You're an ignorant retard if you actually believe what you just typed.
I make $45 per hour, I want to bash my boss, I hate my job, I'm basically angry every minute I'm at work, I'm drowning in debt, I'm a failure.
>bust ass, work overtime and holidays to make lower middle class earnings
wow dude that's great
>26
>live with parents
>make 2400€ after taxes a month putting metal pieces in boxes
>7hour worknights
>8weeks set vacation and 9 days i can choose

Can't complain fãm.
It was created on /sci/ but you are right.
The best way to spot newfags is with old memes.
i dont commit crimes and people kinda dont feel as scared around me?
lel :^)
I'm good at math, and I like to read about finance and economics as a topic of interest, even though I never studied it formally. This gave me just enough base knowledge to be fluent with the other people working there and not sound clueless. A lot of the internship involved learning to use their industry-specific software, so the other interns knew about as little as I did and we all had to learn as we went along.
lol we don't use excel, but a lot of my work is just fucking around with numbers with computer software.
>believes majority of Sup Forums makes 60-120k
In the land of reality, most of the people on this board are definitely wage cucks.
Thanks for the advice dudes. For reference, I graduated last year with finance, and after a few data entry contract roles, finally landed a somewhat related entry level salaried position which should be enough to get me out of the house finally.
Just dealing with some personal regret for not thinking things through and planning before and during college. Would have done something social science related if there were jobs.
>I'm basically angry every minute I'm at work
I lol'd
start working out. that depression will go away. pic sort of related to you maybe made you laugh.
Try this, OP
>30 years old
>Went to college and got a STEM degree
>Couldn't get into a graduate or PhD program because competition was too fierce during the bubble burst of 2008
>Decided to become a teacher
>Got a Master's in my sleep
>But even teaching jobs were hard to come by
>Spent my 20's taking teaching jobs in nowhere towns, at 90 hour per week schools for troubled kids, and working with inner-city "unmotivated" youths
>My spirit is slowly crushed throughout my 20's as I see education for what it really is
>Can't escape -- every career shift I seek is not an easy option, so I stick it out a little longer each year
>Finally land a comfortable teaching job at a school with good benefits and a good salary
>The union fucks up contract negotiations
>I don't get any credit for my previous years' experience and have to start at the first salary step
>No raises because contract is frozen
>Find out they weren't putting my retirement deductions into the correct account for TWO AND A HALF YEARS and now I owe the retirement board around $10,000
>they started taking $400 deductions from my paychecks to just help me get caught up
>I still live with a roommate
>Have a 45 minute commute into work because I wanted to live closer to my family and friends
>Can't transfer to a different school closer by because contract is locked and I'm still not tenured
>My girlfriend makes more money than me and gets the same benefits without having gone to college at all
>We are going to move in together, but I am literally walking away with $20 a paycheck as pocket change/savings
>Had to take a second job after school, so now I get up at 5am and don't get home until 7pm
>I haven't fucked my girlfriend in two weeks because I barely see her
>I have to force myself to find the time or energy to do things like shower, go to the gym, or cook meals
>I feel like I'm absolutely trapped because my STEM degree is now almost 10 years outdated
You don't want my life, OP
>I'm drowning in debt
debt is meaningless
just stop paying it
they can't do anything
they'll try to take your shit but they can't bust down a locked door and if they do you can shoot them
This is most skilled jobs anyway.
As long as you have a reference book (e.g. University text book) your as skilled as the veteran.
You wont work as quickly as the veteran but you can do most of what he does.
>poor baby afraid of hard work
He said he's good with boxes
That's the highest paying box job I know of
>tfw construction worker
>tfw making 35k SEK a month
>tfw the education was completely F R E E
>tfw americans call me europoor everyday
The phrase I always used to hear drivers say was, "ups will put your kids in college, but you won't see them".
>tfw quit 120k/year app dev job in chicago because i hate working and spending dull moments
i'd rather have my kebabs and qt traps and chill by the sea desu
user give me an in for an internship you lucky goy
32 just about here, been making 31/hr for the last 7yrs as a union auto worker for ford. Got hired right off the bat after high school so ive been doing better than all but 2 of my friends for a while. Wife 2 kids newish cars with a house in white suburbia ohio, pretty comfy.
No, it's not illegal. I've agreed to it. However, I won't stick around much longer if they don't throw me a fat offer. I've literally been doing superb direct work for clients completely solo for the last 3 months. If I'm not salaried within the next month, I'm leaving and taking my intellect elsewhere.
ups is a good driving job, but anybody truck driving is going to be cucked within trumps 1st term
I'm 28 and I very narrowly missed being a total failure and at around 25 I got really lucky and seized a rare opportunity
You still have time user
talking like that's some small achievement
Don't listen to this retard. Spending your life hiding from debt will fuck you over and prevent you from moving ahead. No one will want to rent a place to you, any loan you get will have punitive interest rates, you will never get credit again if you're in need and will be basically fucked if something comes up.
Also LMAO at the edgemaster solution of proposing shooting a debt collector as a way to deal with your shit credit. This user obviously doesn't have his shit together, take advice from people who do.
my bad, i forgot how stupid your average burger is
>fell for the STEM meme
It's always a shame when you find out you're below average in that realm and they only employ near perfection.
I tried that and the bank sued me, My choices were bankruptcy, garnished wages or debt agreement.
Stocks, stocks , stocks, work, work, work
>working at Amazon.
>Been there over three years.
>keep trying to move up.
>always get the bullshit excuse "your too valuable doing what you do now. We need you to keep doing it."
>want to get crossed trained in something else to move up.
>"we can't cross train you because you always do x"
>investment bank
I work in fintech as a codemonkey. These companies are pretty much trying to automate away any reason to hire you. Most mid-level positions are being hollowed out by this leaving a wide gap between entry level and C-suite. It already made a mess of the accounting field.
Hold up, meteorology graduate here with a PhD. Why the fuck does he make so much there? Fresh out of my program making 80k
>tfw 23 years old
>tfw fell for STEM meme and got into biology major
>tfw GPA too low for any possible future in medical field
>tfw want to make something of myself
>tfw I don't know where to start
I don't know how your bankruptcy laws work, but if you were an American I'd suggest bankruptcy. We very purposely have lenient bankruptcy laws
>I graduated last year with finance
That is not useless, my man.
The most useful part of my degree was that I had several statistic courses, and I took some econ/business courses of my own volition.
investment bank
> expecting to be treated with even a shred of dignity.
