So why isn't Fidel Castro Based?
He freed his people from a despot and returned the countries resources to them, dramatically increasing the standard of living. Castro was a stalwart nationalist.
Despite 600 attempts on his life and several attempting coups, he managed to fend off a much larger nation and retain the gains made by his revolution and for his people.
In Cuba right now crime rates are lower than the US, as well as infant mortality rates. Homelessness and drug abuse are nowhere near western levels.
Cuba is in fact on of the strongest economies in Latin America, and has provided education, healthcare, and affordable oil for many other nations in the region.
All of this while being under constant attack from globalist central bankers and crony capitalists trying to get their hands on Cuban resources.
The US and central bankers backed Batista only to get it hands on Cuban Sugar and Oil, it was these products which they placed an embargo on, before the complete embargo.
But Cuban sugar should be for Cuban people. Just like America should be for Americans and Britain should be for the British and Germany should be for the Germans.
Consider how well Castro did despite these spiteful attacks on trade, from the nation supposedly interested in free trade.
So he had some labour camps where he sent those people who supported the Batista regime, traitors to their nation, only interested in profit but willing to see their countrymen suffer for it.
I say, fuck these people. A nation does not need them.
Conversely, did you know that up to this day right now the US had the largest prison population on earth AND the prisoners work to make products for private companies. You could describe these prisons as labour camps.
Fidel Castro led his nation to victory against the forces of Globalism and won.
Not to mention the stunning military feat that was the Cuban revolution, which he led.
