The jews don't want exceptional people. They want mindless drones that won't question their activities.
Landon Lopez
Why the fuck would you want any of those leaders back?
How old are you 15?
Julian Jackson
They were objectively some of the greatest leaders in the world
what you, an idiot?
Zachary Ward
when nothing is invented the benchmark for invention is very low
people aren't learning classical art anymore and those leaders are literally hitler
Anthony Lee
Hitler was the greatest leader of all time in my opinion
Why isnt there any famous scientists anymore
James Mitchell
>Elon Musk >Stephen Hawking >inovative materials come year by year such as LineX and many others >quantum mechanics understanding is accelerating >DNA mutations will become a thing >chimeric organs harvesting will become a thing >basically 3D printing the future >we going to Marz 'n shiet >new Tool album in maximum 2 years >meme magic We are basically living the dream It's not that the media is not making it a big thing (not even back then, most of the geniuses were famous) People never fully apreciate what they have until they lose it or get over it and get restrospective.
tl;dr i think amazing shit is habbening right now
Jacob Taylor
I think in the next 8 years we will see a lot more great people OP though I can think of a few Trump, Musk and even Peter Thiel
Eli Gutierrez
But what about the painters
Evan Ward
>Where are all the Great People?
The greatness of a person is only established after they're gone.
Geniuses were always shunned or left out by their people when they were alive.
Like Da Vinci.
Sure, now he's praised but when he was still alive everyone called him a lunatic and a freak.
Parker Johnson
Artists stopped making art for arts sake, more profitable to make a statue of a dude sucking himself.
Scientists stopped doing science for the betterment of humanity. The few that still work in the educational system doing science get their work sold to the highest bidder.
Greed happened.
Cooper Butler
A lot of great artist are probably out there they are just not heard of. Think of Van Gogh as an example. As for the genuis mind, the world is fairly good and there is little to no reason to innovate because of it. Also, the social engineers have made us extremely docile and will punish those who want to create something groundbreaking.
Eli Jones
this, a vast majority of musicians and artists we consider geniuses and masters of their craft lived and died in poverty, unrecognized until after they died.
Gavin Martin
>new Tool album in maximum 2 years
John Foster
Picasso is fucking shit
John Perry
great people are almost always recognized after their death that's why they're often not exactly good on the social side - because they know no one gives a fuck at the moment and they will be praised just after they stop giving a fuck (being buried and all)
the moral: stop praising dead guys, find modern geniuses living among us
Brody Russell
Picaso and Van Gogh are garbage anti-art. Just look at that poison for the soul...look at it.
Jose Ross

it still has that specific type of feeling you only get from old paintings
why do paintings from back then look more refined? Is it the lead?
Aiden Evans
One of van Gogh's spookiest paintings. Makes me think of #pizzagate
I think we don't have the same kind of remarkable people nowadays as back in the day simply because everyone is so spoiled and shallow. Bad combination.
Henry Bailey
A lot of pigments authors used then aren't available now, for one thing.
Joseph Cook
LOL was thinking of writing. Painters, I meant.
Ian Russell
I asked feminists once if they believed there would be great men. They couldn't answer.
Juan Price
your opinion is literally 15 y/o edgelord tier >it's bad and you should feel bad
>Post-Impressionists extended Impressionism while rejecting its limitations: they continued using vivid colours, often thick application of paint, and real-life subject matter, but were more inclined to emphasize geometric forms, distort form for expressive effect, and use unnatural or arbitrary colour.
It's a good painting you uncultured faggot
Andrew Butler
Higher cost of entry, you have to learn what people that came before discovered before you have the foundation to make new discoveries... We know a helluva lot more foundational shit than we did 200, hell even 20 years ago.
Also media sensationalizes dumb science advances that are ultimately meaningless so often that people are number to relevant progress.
And intelligence is less valued socially now... And stupid people survive better.
So it's a perfect storm of dumb, and in addition, it looks dumber than it is
Ryan Ortiz
Hitler wasnt evil you stupid kike
Ian Adams
how could you say such a thing? van gogh is a glimpse at the soul. his artwork is fascinating. it's the dreamlike quality of his style that makes it mesmerizing. you can also see his descent into madness through his artwork
Christian Hughes
Hahahaha you're a fucking moron. He was objectively the worst leader of all time that lead his people into oblivion and left us with the mess we have today.
Tyler Edwards
He fought most of the fucking planet and almost won.
I don't idolize him like this board seems to, nor do I demonize him like the rest of the west does, but the guy had a lot of positive qualities
Jackson Cox
>we dont have great men like picasso stopped reading there
Cameron Gonzalez
Modern art is bullshit
Nolan Parker
Why even say something when you clearly know nothing?
Poland started the war. Hitler built a great nation, rose Germany from humiliated ashes, and the jews were having none of it
He is the man we should all strive to be. He is more important than Jesus
>lincoln going to war against your own countrymen sure is great. the funny part is that even he wanted to ship the niggers back and would be called a nazi today
Joshua Anderson
this! i'm a scientist, and i can confirm the primary motivations are status and money, which leads to everyone researching the same rehashed ideas or sell themselves to politicized science like climate stuff for example.... everybody is spitting out papers that amount to jack shit, and contain so many forgeries and untrue statements that if you pick out say 10 random papers you will be able to replicate the results of 5 of those papers.
furthermore, the educational institutions are now existing more for themselves than for the sake of science. just before christmas i was asked if i could find a way to spend 350 000 NOKs on something, whatever, so our institution don't get less funding next year.
oh and yeah, we are educating way more scientists within my field than there are actual jobs for, and still the education system tries to expand and recruit more students every year.
it's shitty, unnecessary and unsustainable. i fucking hate this socialist system, and i'm ashamed of working for such a shit institution
Caleb Ward
Elon Musk? Or whatever the space x guys name is
Julian Jackson
Rejection of form is one step towards shit in a can
Oliver Kelly
tried to slip that one in there lol
only good music coming out consistently are Kanye and Drake, and they are both honestly past their primes. Vampire Weekend made a good album a few years back and haven't made good music since. Frank Ocean album lackluster. Death Grips past their primes. Jesus OP ur right about music and art
Zachary Fisher
Music ended in 2001 with the release of No Trend's More
There's a lot of people talking these days, and it's easier for greatness to get lost in the noise of modern communication. We probably have a lot of great people, we just aren't encouraging them enough to be passionate about things. We don't hear about the works of one another as much, so we're not driving inspiration as much as we were when a lot of things we know now were so experimental.
I agree with , though, there are certainly be an influx of great minds soon. When problems arise, problem solvers do too.
In regards to the question about artists, don't be ridiculous. Artists are doing amazing work today. In fact, there are so many names in art, it's extremely difficult to make a name for yourself. The great artists were known because they were few and far between. Nowadays, we have all the resources we need to become great artists if you are willing to put in the 100's of hours of work.
Christopher Rivera
they exist but they all are hidden behind a mass of crap. There are a lot of good artists in the Games industry desu. Shame that while very good with the technical stuff they lack complex emotional expression. They do nothing innovative.
Do some research on modern painting. I think Sup Forums needs to meme back the family portrait and portraiture of the people in general.
Carter Johnson
We got Trump.
BTFO shill.
Liam Ward
They were killed by people like Hillary Clinton
Brody Allen
Don't know about you but i was passionate one time about the things I did. If it weren't for a financial system setup for your personal destroyment.
They are all shitposting on image boards, playing grand strategy games and workcelling for some stupid tech corporation. Bullied to shit by their workmates and school mates for not subscribing to the consumer idea of the human being
Kayden Kelly
I know that feel, sciencebro.
The researcher I'm under has effectively been repeating failed tests with a few variable tweaks for years/millions of dollars
Jason Barnes
Picasso was shit.
On the topic of painters, you have Odd Nerdrum. He was ostracized from the art community for painting like the old masters, rather than the modernist abstract bullshit that was popular when he started to paint. He's also a conservative, which has gotten him further into trouble, considering most artists are liberal pieces of shit.
He's still one of the greatest contemporary painters in the world, and his art sells for millions.
Samuel Hall
Picasso was the one that started the trend of degenerate art in good part. He based his in African art, no surprise.
Adam Baker
We got one man who may be a great leader (I hope he is), but is really a wildcard... but the huge victory is that we did it against a seasoned criminal/politician, with billions in financial might, the backing of Hollywood, and every university in the nation fighting this lone man at full power...
And he won. He beat back the darkness. That may be, truly, the greatest of his legacy.
Jack Howard
That's part of what I'm saying. We aren't doing a good job at all promoting that passion in young people, by the time they're older, they don't feel they're completing what they want, all passion is gone and they're just working their job. I'm still young enough to be passionate about what I want to do, and I hope I can preserve that.
I can't speak for other governments, but it hasn't seemed like we're pushing for progress as much as we did in the past. We're too concerned about barbarians being left behind.
Austin Diaz
Van Gogh was a suffering artist that sold

of his paintings while he was alive and only was recognized hundreds of years after death. His own mother would dispose of his works.
Why do you speak of such that you do not know?
Christian Cook
I am looking at his art... he seems degenerate maybe
Zachary Wright
Yeah, he does paint some fucked up shit. He's like an old masters version of H. R. Giger, with all his bizarre sexual imagery and desolate landscapes.
Kevin Barnes
High school students can understand breakthroughs that made people geniuses 100 years ago.

>Where are all the Great People? they dies with technology -- time to become great is taken up by the trifle distractions of modern life
There's a lot of great artists in the world today doing great works of art, problem is the elitist community of liberal artists has the monopoly of contemporary art and the turnout is absolute relativistic bullshit that brings nothing to the human soul and mind.
Contemporary art has become a gambling game to find 'the next big thing', they are digging so deep on aesthetic relativism they ended up forming a cloud of pointless mysticism to explain their pointless work of abstraction done wrong. This idea and the fact art is used for money laundering operations, are destroying western culture.
It's like the New Age movement, spiritualism for the sake of spiritualism, souless expressions of a confused mind, ideas that only exist in oneself but never relate to the real world, pure narcissim in a age of shallow narcissists.
Bentley Anderson
It's done on purpose, he wants you to feel how small the room is by taking the whole room to frame in a cluster of objects, in red tones in contrast with the blue cold walls and doors. Van Gogh was a troubled genius, but a genius nontheless.
Blake Davis
This has only started.

We live in a world where politicians and connected people succeed. It is about who you know, not what you know. This aspect of society has crushed the other aspect.
Nathaniel Scott
Modern art is a Jewish invention to subvert/destroy real art
Blake Howard
Another aspect is that large companies dominate and are generally more concerned with trying to destroy competition than trying to make new things.
Isaac Morales
More like to just control the market. They decide what's in and whats out instead of true talent. Rich people buys it to laundry black money.

That is because we live in the nihilism of post-modernism created by the left. Decade after decade of nothing more but deconstruction, confusion, death drive and basically an era of passivity, profiteers and moral corruption.
How can our time achieve great people when our time is in decay.
Zachary Baker
>modern day Picaso/Monet/VanGoh Picasso is modern day. Van Gogh is almost as disgusting. Monet is another hyped-up hack. Degas was prbably the only good painter in impressionism.
This trio of retards seems to be what most people associate with "the Old Masters" of painting today. It's a shame, because they have arguably contributed the most to the corruption and decay of the art.
And you praising them with this god-awful OP image? I'd give your bait 5 for its original content.
Henry Mitchell
It doesn't have this "specific feeling" you only get from old paintings. The feeling is called awe. You are talking about the cracked glazing of old oil on canvas. Van Gogh's bullshit looks like a contemporary lifestyle magazine illustration done by an effete pseudointelectual male/corpulent wilderbeast female.
