Not many Centrists here user, we lurk more than we post I believe. I appreciate your angle though, maybe more will come out of the shadows.
Camden Lee
inb4 alt-cucks post "funny pictures" about centrics beign cowards because they actually have a brain and don't see the world in black and white..
Oliver Brown
I am one of you now.
Nathan Thomas
I'm only here for the shitposting.
Caleb Hughes
>moderation and reason on a board built on extremist This'll go well nigger, you either a communist or a fascist here
Lucas Davis
Too intelligent to fall for the right and left meme. I'm a radical centrist
Joshua Moore
I thought I was a leftist but the centrism got me ;-;
Jose Miller
Its a bit of an oxymoron isnt it? Centrism usually takes a huge pride in not being radical? What do you do, take a radical pride in not being radical
Ryan Murphy
Just read some fake news article exaggerating how the rich exploiting the poor and you'll be back
Nolan Sanders
Hello my intelligent brethren how are you today
Isaiah Morris
Mister centrist in case a race-war hypthetically takes place who would you fight for your own race, the enemy or nobody?
Christian Butler
>exaggerating haha yeah but really everyone working in currency speculation or lending should be hanged for their crimes
Ian Kelly
...
Jacob Martinez
You can also like radical positions coming from the left and the right
Isaiah Bell
no, they ride segways and do ziplining and other radical shit whilst spouting a meme position that has the worst of both real options.
Isaiah Robinson
Can anyone name me a great person who was viewed as a centrist in their day.
Oliver Martinez
I see That just seems still impossible because having a radical position usually comes with a heavy ideology I guess it could be >SEND THE BLACKS TO AFRICA >Because empirically they are a negative for this country
Austin Walker
ok lets see what solutions you have to offer liberals say that the reason blacks are imprisoned at such high rates is due to police bias against blacks and racism also liberals say they put blacks because petty crimes like illegal drugs, littering, sagging their pants or whatever
right wingers say that blacks are imprisoned because of their genetic tendency to be violent, blacks also have highest homicide rate in US, they have shitty culture
what's the middle ground here?
Angel Myers
Deport the blacks without bothering to find out the answer because it's pragmatic.
Brody Johnson
>political spectrum constantly shifting leftward >being a centrist How does that make sense?
William Ramirez
>constantly shifting leftward This is a meme tier opinion that ignores the nuance of our current political situation.
Part of the reason SJWs exist is to defend the ideas of the libertarian-right in banking and markets, to prevent a protectionist small-c conservative state closing in and reimposing Christian morality on the markets.
Levi Jackson
but isn't that racist in the eyes of a liberal or a left winger? wouldn't that cause a social unrest? also where are you going to deport them to? some labor camps in africa or what?
Michael Long
What I'm seeing from this image is Hillary performing a redirection into social policy (shit that doesn't matter) when asked about economic policy (shit that does matter)
Parker Lopez
i was mostly joking. >also where are you going to deport them to? some labor camps in africa or what? wherever'll take them.
Daniel Ward
GOAT centrist
Michael Bennett
Because her economic answer is part of the economically-liberal status quo position of leaving the banks alone, while her social position lets her pretend to be left wing.
Just like Bill Clinton in the 90s declaring "the era of big government is over," and Tony Blair promising to stick to Tory spending plans for his first 2 years in office.
The economic reforms since the 1970s were largely a mistake. (Starting with the end of Breton Woods) Stagflation was caused by the sudden onset of high oil prices more than any other factor. Most people can't or won't see this though, so you wind up with the position that there's no going back from the globalism that resulted.
Ethan Bell
I'll consider centrism when you start offering solutions to problems that pleases both leftists and right winger, right now it looks to me like a troll position and nothing else
Zachary Jenkins
No need to. Radical centrism is a meme on its own.
Robert Robinson
Adding on: Except Trump, who's to some degree outside this spectrum, although many of his advisors appear to sadly be economic-liberals. If he goes ahead with Tariffs, we could see some interesting things result.
I'm not a centrist. My trip is usually designated leftist. (Actually broadly speaking a protectionist, but it puts me quite left-wing economically with the caveat of massive immigration controls.)
Hudson Campbell
Undecided scum.
Asher Peterson
>I don't know how to be morally consistent!
Jeremiah Ross
>Radical Centrist
More leftist bullshit. Goodbye David.
John Russell
when will British economy collapse?
Chase Sanchez
No idea.
I think we're going to get another recession by 2020-2021 though. The USA has had one every decade for quite a while. The last was 10 years ago...
Jack Morris
>My ideology lets me think I have a perfect complete understanding of the world! I feel so smart!
Jack Carter
>radical I don't have a real opinion so I'll shift to whatever you want general
I kind of support killing off idiot ideologues on the left and right to make way for a society of actual intellectuals.
Does that make me a dirty non-centrist idealist?
James White

back to the shadows for this individual
Levi Allen
>tfw too smart to form an opinion
Isaiah Sanders
How does being a radical centrist jive with the ongoing movement of the overton window? Is it like Clintonian triangulation where you move with the wind of the latest polls? Everything interesting and almost all thinkers outside the last 100 years are far outside the current overton window.
Brody White
In a political environment such as ours where logic is dismissed in favor of muh feels; it makes perfect sense
Lincoln Hall
I needed like 40 formed opinions to get through this survey.
Andrew Morgan
The economist Mark Blyth, who also has a cool Scottish accent, has a lot of good lectures about Trump/Brexit/Le Pen/etc. in the context of the economic decisions made in the 70s and onwards and how it impacted labor.
It's far more convincing than the left narrative which basically amounts to "Richard Spencer and Pepe turned rural Pennsylvania into the KKK".
Cameron Martinez
Can someone brief me on what does radical centrism believe in? Is it like a mix of both right and left or is it completely different?
Levi Davis
>Everything interesting and almost all thinkers outside the last 100 years are far outside the current overton window.
Ideally, the government should be the most boring thing in the world. I voted for Trump but I agree with Styx; I want him to be a mild reformer.
Evan Sanchez
Opening it now.
What sort of Economist is he? (Keynesian, Neoclassical, classical, austrian, marxist, etc.)
Kevin Richardson
More identity politics. Cool.
Daniel Lopez
Radical centrists are close-minded so they aren't welcomed here.
Chase King
You fucks better at least vote.
Jason King
Probably should've said political economist; I mainly know him from jumping around Youtube after hearing about him post-election. He was very anti-austerity in Europe following the banking crisis, and his videos from 2009/2010 hold up pretty well.
So definitely left-leaning, but doesn't seem to be at all dogmatic about it. If he has a designated economic philosophy I haven't caught it.
Xavier Morris
I own a Ford Mondeo
Aiden Stewart
Love Blythe, glad to see him getting known
Joseph Green
Who else Alt-Centrist here?
Wyatt Phillips
Ah, should be interesting then. I'm broadly of the same leaning myself, albeit with a strong dose of nationalism. (Hence why I'm usually "Designated Leftist")
A much shorter clip I like to come back to is: youtube.com/watch?v=sdZp5iw-UEo , it aligns almost exactly with how Michal Kalecki predicted the Keynesian Consensus would end up. Full Employment would empower labour, bourgeoisie would get scared, engineer a crisis and try to kill it off.
What do you know? Full employment empowered Labour, a convenient crisis popped up in 1973, and the only solution was mass unemployment...
The British angle on this is particularly fascinating because the Establishment went along with it so much. The BBC were making outright propaganda (pic related) and certain elements of the security services even wanted a full blown coup.
Horrifying stuff. Now we've got an economy propped up entirely on personal debt and a permanent housing bubble.
Chase White
Right or left is a meme for good goys. I have leftist economic ideas but right cultural ideas like most of the people here.
Jonathan Evans
>"socially liberal, fiscally conservative"
Adrian James
Radical Centrist, you mean Hitler right?
Thomas Lopez
>Centrist >Left and Right >the "Political Spectrum"
you can post as many pics of books as you want it won't make anyone think you're any smarter.
Grayson Baker
wrong. we doubled the supply of labor in the 70s by letting women into the main workforce It did not double the demand for labor
William Thomas
Too sympathetic to hang out with the conservative right wing.
Too racist and appreciative of tradition to hang out with shitty lefties.
Adam Wood
>killing off idiot ideologies >make way for an intelligent society >authoritarian pursue of the intellectual way
you're a nazi, my friend
Parker Bell
>we doubled the supply of labor in the 70s by letting women into the main workforce In the UK they were already a major part of the workforce. All we did was open up equal pay legislation. Doubling would always be a gross overestimate though.
(Not that I'm arguing for women's rights, for all I care they can be made property.)
Alexander Thomas
Can you post more brain wojacks?
Robert King
Every ideology has contradictions.
e.g. do Anarcho 'maximum freedom, no government intervention' Capitalists take into account for the freedom to subvert people and bombard them with adverts? What about the freedom to form a government? How do they refute: >World started as AnCap by default >Governments formed
Do Anarcho 'stateless society, everyone is equal' Communists take into account that someone MIGHT deny collectivism and if you prevent them you are a government or you allow them and you're no longer communist?
Imo, having a one-fit-all ideology is stupid - culture and social cohesion are much more important.
If you plane-drop a bunch of Assault rifles in Japan, nothing will happen because people are smart and have no reason to shoot but understand consequences if they do.
If you drop a bunch of assault rifles in Somalia, it will cause mayhem because Somalians are trigger-happy (68 average IQ, half of them are dumber than that). You give them guns, they shoot. They see female, they rape. Simple.
So how can someone have a _________ ideology when you need different tools for different situations?
William Williams
Centrists, please go away.
Hunter Campbell
dude get real. there were jobs for men and then a few tasks for women this changed in the 70s and our wages have not kept up with inflation
Matthew Martinez
No thanks.
Connor Diaz
Our wages have not kept pace with inflation, but outsourcing and immigration (and the massive growth of power to international-finance-capital) are just as culpable as women.
Caleb Kelly
That's why ideologies that are specific to a culture/race work well due to the differences of people on Earth. That's why things like certain forms of socialism, National Socialism, et cetera only work in homogeneous populations like in Europe.
Aaron Wright

>There are pitfalls of Chaos(the left) and Order(the right) we need a dialog to have balance between chaos and order. Centrism is about looking at both sides to find the path society needs to take forward instead of posting memes about how (otherside) is a mental disorder and we would have utopia if our team had permanent rule.

Morality is the question "what should I do?". thats everything

Justin Lopez
And countries where even as little as 5% of the population think they can blow themselves up for a shortcut to heaven, need an authoritarian to prevent total chaos.
So why did your government "promote democracy" in Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Syria etc., thus creating nothing but total chaos?
Benjamin Wood
Two years ago, I was a hardcore leftist, but ever since Trump's election, I've been shifting more and more to the right. As of right now, my beliefs are right of center, but has time progresses, my hatred for the left increases. If the left keeps going the way it's going, I'll be calling myself a conservative in less than a year.
Zachary Peterson
How old are you?

who /utilitarian/ here
>oppose all war (except for funding Assad against ISIS as ISIS is our fault and responsibility) >cut military budget 30%+, redirect a portion of it as reparations to Iraq, Syria, Libya, etc >defend against pollution and climate change >ban birth control pills, fund all abortions as an alternative >ban porn >send fat kids to weight loss camps >use tax dollars to fund fat shaming and slut shaming >deploy massive oversight on harmful chemicals/hormones in environment and food, thoroughly control food >regulate big business, deregulate small business >separate church and state, abolish marriage and make it a religious decision >use diseases, water contamination, sterilization-for-cash, etc to depopulate the third world >starting with the most severe and working down the ladder, send prisoners to be used for human experimentation >push to create an immortal ruling class, human brains merged with computers, human brains born and raised as brain-machines that never had bodies >defend the constitution >nationwide stand-your-ground, concealed carry, open carry >build a wall and deport illegal immigrants >publicly fund elections, end lobbying >end government communication with TV media, make indirect moves to kill television
