Why is Africa divided into so many different countries? also, how come not a single former colony has opted to remain part of the UK or France?

>Stay part of the UK
>they all move here
Yeah nah

Press F to pay respects

because independence was hip and trendy in the 50-60s

how come not a single former colony has opted to remain part of the UK or France?
Because it was shit back then so they tried something new, but it's still shit

F

F

One did.
Little island called Mayotte.

They voted to stay and Comoros autistically screeched at them.

Flashforward a few years you have niggers in Comoros fleeing to Mayotte hoping to get into France.

Niggers. Not even once.

>how come not a single former colony has opted to remain part of the UK or France?

Because neither the elites of the USA or the USSR wanted that to happen.

F

Africa has too few countries, not too many.

BURN IT

Americas new world order of the 50s called for dismantlement of the former empires, Britain and France had been fiscally btfo by the US and they couldn't afford to maintain their empires. Indias independence was one of the things Churchill had to promise the yanks for them to enter the war against Germany, and when the suez crisis happened the US refused to aid Britain which was still fucked from ww2. Don't quite know the ins and outs of the collapse of the French empire but would assume money was the biggest factor.

The french actually fought for Algeria, which they saw as part of the homeland. Didnt last too long.

F

This. They are used to tribal societies that their had own tribal territories, where they used to kill and enslave each others

F

I actually wish this happened

It would be fun watching Africa become eternal shithole of tribals killing eachother for no reason

Oh wait they already are

F

You have no idea how big Africa is , do you?

>POOOKWO
LITERALLY CAN'T MAKE THIS UP

F

Iirc Gabon wanted to remain part of France

Also the wonder isn't that there are so many African countries, but rather that there are so few.
