Ive been teaching in a wealthy all (((white))) suburban district surrounded by leftists.

It was great for 3 years and then my department chair started to unleash liberal ivory tower teaching directives at me

The new trend is

Which on the surface seems nice...except it boils down to this. The curriculum you teach doesn't fucking matter its all about "skills"

Parents are worse cunts every year. 1984 aint got nothing on management scrutiny and observations. They keep shunting the curriculum downwards. Soon they'll be doing number bonds in the cunting womb. Ive made a fucking mockery of the best years of my life.

Don't throw your 20's away by being some beta teacher. Go out and do real stuff first. Be a cop, try your hand in business, travel the world.

Kids can always sniff a useless beta. Get some actual experience, then work with kids. You won't be doing any high school kids favors without a a strong foundation.

Also you should know that you are getting into a totally thankless profession

1. Administration will throw you under the bus
2. The Union you might be forced to join is a collection of leftists
3. The parents will assume you are doing your job wrong and their kid is God's gift to humanity
4. There will always be a handful of kids who will drive you insane every year and ruin a potentially perfect classroom environment
5. The media will say that you either suck or or God's gift to humanity

Don't go into the profession unless you actually know your shit.

Kids know very quickly if you are a dumbass or if you know history and they will test you. If they sense weakness of you lack understanding they will work to undermine you

Godspeed, and actually entertain the class instead of making it about whatever is trendy. I've been in both public and private education, and private education will get you less money, but the environment is better, you get free meals of very high quality, the kids and the staff are better, and the benefits are godlike. Plus you have a lot more freedom to teach the way you want.
