Snowden to be "gifted" to Trump

>seized on a report that Russia is considering sending him back to the US as a “gift” to Donald Trump, saying that the story vindicates him of charges that he is a spy.

He could be going home, lads.

Good .. he has always been a bit of a cock about everything

Even though he did a good thing informing the public, it was still sort of wrong.

So what's gonna happen to him?

Trump called him a traitor... will he stand by that?

>Snowden will get raped by niggers

Trump wants him executed, according to a public statement he made in 2013.

F

He says a lot of things

While he doesn't kid he is also intelligent

The irony here is that if clapper had never committed perjury in front of congress under oath Snowden would never had to have blown the whistle.

Several months before Clapper was asked, point blank: Does the NSA spy on millions of Americans. Clappers repeated response? "No".

That facet of information was literally the entire basis for Snowden's whistle blowing.

Trial, then a pardon. Specifics of the trial will be to highlight and detail in full extent what events led to his leaking of information, who orchestrated said events, and to suggest legislation/make rulings to prevent such issues from happening again.

Even better if Snowden could win the case and set precedent to curtail the workings of any form of shadow government that exist, or could come to exist.

If Trump doesn't "kid", and literally means whatever he says, than I might not call him intelligent.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

The God Emperor cannot stop winning.

Snowden better hang for this.

Always kill a traitor before you kill an enemy.

If they do send him back, Trump's best option would be a pardon.

Otherwise the conflict of interest, accepting Russian favors, would be hanging over the administration...

Interesting play by Putin if true...

Its all part of the plan maaann. Trumps 420d chess is unrivaled.

>This will be the end of Trump's campaign etc. etc.

Why attack the person who attacked the establishment globalists directly? If anything he has a lot in common with Trump. The traitors are the establishment, don't be a cuck.

Real talk here, how much do clogs cost? Do all of you wear them? Do you recommend orthotic inserts for them?

What? He betrayed the establishment

No, I'm not saying that. It'll just disrupt things even more between the left and right. More ammo for lefties and uncommitted Republicans.

More destabilization which is great for the Russians.

And they get to save money on Snowden's apartment.

Snowden's days are numbered.

Shoulda backed Trump stupid shitlib. There was nothing to gain by counter-signaling the outsider knowing that Shillary would have him assassinated anyway.

It became he "unwittingly forgot". For fuck sake, that's worse than lying, worst response in natsec history, shows complete incompetence

He's a filthy traitor.

He needs to be pardoned, he did nothing wrong.

Trump will let him go in return for Snowden talking shit on McCain

twitter.com/realdonaldtrump/status/356180327271641091

Trump is going to use Snowden as an example
"Snowden is the first of many traitors!" he will exclaim
And thus the great purge will begin.

Screencap this.

Why, because Trump said so? I voted for Trump, and his word is not law. He has been wrong before, and if he does not pardon Snowden he'll be wrong again.

Snowden did nothing wrong but expose the nose. He showed us how deep the government has their filthy fucking hands, and for that you want him hung? He's a traitor to fucking who? Oh right, the same people who fought so hard to stop Trump from becoming POTUS.

Did what he release get people killed or put lives in danger? He claims he reviewed everything, but how could he erase all sensitive information from such a voluminous release?

What about Assange though?

to the estabilishment

Is he a whistleblower or a traitor? Trump should help Assange by the way.

Assange is a hero. He helped keep Killary out of the White House.

Trump should let Snowden go.

It costs about $10 to have Jamahal cram the toilet after a doink with Sveta. Worth it!

He is neither, he is a patriot.

He joined up to protect his country, saw who the real enemy was, and exposed them. People who say
>"Why didn't he stay and face trial?"
have no fucking idea what they are talking about. He wouldn't have had a fair trial, he'd have been dragged through a kangaroo court like the Nuremberg Trials, then shot in the parking lot.

he blew the whistle on google's unencrypted internal network being compromised, he blew the whistle on mass surveillance in general, he blew the whistle on targeting of tor users, he blew the whistle on complete collection of all data from certain countries, and many other things.

he also may have turned over a significant amount of his information to russia for protection, which in his position included basically everything that went through his position at hawaii, including a small number of misplaced top secret documents and a lot of general use NSA documents

Your finger is not on the pulse.

You're a major fucking moron and you're giving Trump and his supporters a bad name. Stop being delusional, Trump can be wrong and if he treats Snowden like a traitor he will be wrong.

Snowden did absolutely nothing wrong but expose the very complex that sought to stop Trump from winning in the first place. Unless you're a major Shilldawg with some jew bank up your ass, you have no reason to hate Snowden.

This

Just because we supported trump doesn't mean we lose our sense of reason. Trump is wrong on this issue if he imprisons or executed Snowden

Snowden is a CIA plant to discredit the NSA. Trump

We kinda knew they did this before anyway. This ties into the debate of security vs privacy.

crashing this whistleblower

>“I think Snowden is a terrible threat, I think he’s a terrible traitor, and you know what we used to do in the good old days when we were a strong country — you know what we used to do to traitors, right?” - Donald Trump

RIP SNOWDEN

>finally: irrefutable evidence that russia is using me as an instrument of soft diplomacy against the U.S.

Snowden didn't expose anything really. Everybody knew already. The people who call him a traitor now are the same people who called people "tin foil hats" before the Snowden confirmed what they were saying. They're the people trying to cover tracks. Keep an eye on them.

He likes Wikileaks. Maybe he will change his mind.

there's a difference between knowing something is done and knowing the specifics of how it's done user.

again, take the google compromise as an example. who would have come to the conclusion prior to the leaks that the entirety of google's internal network was unencrypted? the idea that google's internal engineers could run, well, google, but couldn't figure out how to encrypt their own shit internally was so far fetched that nobody thought about it.

you could have protected against it, but nobody saw it as an issue. snowden revealed it and it was fixed.

it's like knowing the CIA murders people vs knowing exactly how they do it, and everyone they have murdered in the last 10 years, and why they murdered them. big difference.

now that mainstream society has become a spy-fi show, we need only hit rock bottom next

He thinks Bradley (Chelsea) Manning is a traitor for leaking info though.

It's still recent and on his Twitter right now.

He should be pardoned, Trump would get the moral high ground as the lefties will ask Snowden to get killed.

Snowden is a hero, but he has to be punished. While I'm thankful he released hat info, we obviously can't allow any dick and tom to decide to leak classified info on their ow whim. That could get dangerous real quick.

What did Manning do? Wasn't he purely a traitor? I mean, what Snowden did could be justified at least. I think Trump cares about what his people think and would do what the people that support him want, whatever that is.

how is that anybodies business?

If the moron who flips burgers at mcdonalds can know state secrets why can't the state know the burger flipper watches goat porn?

Why is everybody such a fucking weasel?

if the federal gov't is paying you anywhere from 65-150k + full benefits to STFU, you're gonna think really hard about throwing that away

hope he is the first person hanged on the day of the rope

The problem is that they can't spy on the bad guys either now. Court orders to spy is probably the best compromise.

reported about US war crimes and shiet

You really think Snowden is/was the only leaker? The financial incentive alone means there have to be many many more you never heard about. Of course, even if it was discovered, no agency is going to tell anyone a leak has occurred, because they would look incompetent. See OPM for details.

i'm trying to remain unpolitical mate.

if you're looking at it from the view of the state, the problem is that now our enemies know that you can't even really trust google, microsoft, apple, etc for resources. surprisingly a lot of terrorists and so on formerly used gmail to communicate, so that was an invaluable resource until snowden blew it.

if you're looking at it from the view of the citizen... well, what business do you have reading my fucking email, and who are you in bed with so that you can access my email to begin with?

if you're looking at it from the view of the rebel (which is an important view to consider, especially when we're talking about the US that was birthed from revolution), the state now has an eye inside your bathroom more or less.

it's a problem all around, now it's either slightly better or slightly worse depending on who you affiliate to.

they still can user, the NSA can collect info on any person that isn't in the US. the snowden leaks just blew a lot of their infrastructure. i wouldn't be surprised if they're mostly past it now.

>U.S. intelligence has collected information that Russia is considering turning over Edward Snowden as a "gift"
Fake and gay, they are trying to plant the idea by setting up the "effect-and-cause."

Snowden literally shat on the globalists though, he didn't do proper spy works. He just uncovered the global surveillance system which is DEUS EX tier.

You'd get properly executed for giving out schematics, spy lists etc. His leak was meta as fuck, MGS2 tier

Serious question. Why is the Australian government allowing one of its citizens to be held captive in a foreign country and sought after by a third and fourth country?

Shouldn't the Aussie government deal with her citizens on her own?

traitor son of bitch dserve it

The aussies aren't known for upholding human rights...

>Using memes to shill.

Get out.

He doesn't seem too concerned.
Trump's going to let him off easy or mostly/completely.

>leafs defending the nanny state

The state is a function ultimately in existence to serve the burger flipping morons. A state is also an institution that naturally consolidates power into central locations, and as such will attract people who look to abuse that power.
It is due to this that the moronic burger flipper, as well as every other citizen, should have a right to inquire on the activities of the government. That any sort of inquiry to shady government activity was met by a bullet in the head is obviously a massive negligence of the state's responsibility.

That man... Albert Einstein!

It would look bad for Putin if he handed off Snowden to get executed by Trump, he wouldn't do it without talking it over with Trump ahead of time.

Trump's worked with Vince McMahon, he knows how to work this storyline

Every time I type a response to one of these questions, I delete the response because I can't type it. Short answer, he did put people at risk.

When is the next episode of the court series?

A shitty argument. Normies didn't know shit, but we knew. Now it's the official story from CNN, MSNBC, Fox News, etc that the government spies on everybody.

Snowden redpilled the masses in a big way.

reason.com/blog/2016/11/18/watch-trumps-reported-pick-to-run-the-ci
(Note: ignore where it says "Trump has reportedly picked," he IS the CIA director now)

ED IS DEAD

I'd go farther and say Snowden might have been a big contributor to people's distrust of Government that lead to Trump's election.

It always required a FISA court, that's the sad state of this whole issue in regards to US collection.

FISA orders/US "collection" was mostly in order to get a company like Google to comply. If Mohammed uses gmail, it requires a FISA order. Always has.

He definitely violated the law but fuck if he goes to prison for longer than say 4 years I dont think I can support Trump anymore.

Objectively the weakest part of Trump is his disregard for civil liberties.

the worst part was this infinitely powerful hardware being described by crude powerpoint images
no one took it seriously but it was the most serious thing since ww2

youtube.com/watch?v=VDfxcVJXqTc

>KILL
>TRAITOR

i'm 99% certain metadata does not require a court order to collect, if you want to collect information on someone in the US you need to explain your reasoning and get a court order though

Do you need legal approval to look at metadata? The director of the agency said that they kill people based on metadata.

I will be very upset with trump if he decides to execute him.

Snowden is a hero for the public, executing him would just make him a martyr
Stick him into a prison for life or guantanamo bay

You saw the GCHQ co-intel stuff right? Powerpoints again, they are hour long briefings by a person.
The leaks only gave us 20% of what we could've been told. Usually the lecturer will drop tons of classified info, instead all we got was that the system exists, some instruction manual of a software that can be used to check scan worlds audio (landlines, voip etc) and try to match it with certain audio files and some other stuff

Collecting happens like he describes, for me to look at it for a US Citizen requires a FISA order. For me to look at something pertaining to a non-US citizen using a service provided by an American company requires a FISA order.

You know I can't answer that.

I don't think he should be executed, but I won't be upset if he is.

This was his decision. He could have just disappeared and gone off the grid, but he wanted to speak publicly about it. He knew the law and the consequences of doing it the way he did.

Is this evidence of the ongoing internal struggle between agencies. Perhaps Snowden was in fact a CIA plant intended to destroy/discredit the NSA, and now that they helped their man into power they want their pound of flesh.

No, the "public" is too stupid to give a shit.

Telling America that the Government is breaking the law, violating their rights, and lying about it is the right thing to do. It's illegal, and the law has to be enforced, but it's not wrong.

An execution would be ridiculous.

the london gaurdian laptop raid was beautiful theater
snowden did nothing but serve his own special interests

snowden is inept when it comes to technology, he was a lowly degenerate sharepoint admin

there was nothing interesting or non obvious in the leaks, he's the guy who told us we were being spied on in world of warcraft

Wouldn't surprise me, fucker wasn't even that high up and basically a nobody.

In the Hillary Clinton trials, only NSA was willing to answer questions since it undermined FBI and the CIA.

>someone implying that he works for the NSA on Sup Forums

since there's a 99.99995% chance you don't, here's a guide to help your larping

cl.cam.ac.uk/~rja14/Papers/nsaman.pdf

He leaked info on an illegal project.

>But he has to be punished
Nope. What the government is doing is tyranny. kys

>founding fathers went against the law
>heroes
>snowden does the same
>traitor

Manning got people killed, Snowden just leaked state secrets

> Trump is wrong on this issue if he imprisons or executed Snowden

Snowden still committed a crime, life in prison is to be expected. 20 years minimum.

>Ad hom

>Wasn't interesting or obvious
Nobody cares about your shitty opinions on US law leafbait

>government institution is violating the constitution secretly
>snowden: hey guys the government is violating the constitution secretly
>neo-cons get mad at snowden and not the government
Can someone explain this one to me ?

the founding fathers did it for mankind

snowden did it so he can charge 30k for a tech/security/privacy/bullshit talk and roll around on a monitor attached to a segway

What about the people at NSA that committed crimes? Not a single one of them got judged
