Had my suspicions with the 'flow' of Aussie politics during the mid 00's, The Greens/Labor/ Left leaning parties are never ever-ever satisfied, often assuming the moral high ground while they whine bitch and moan.

First is the one you describe, the complete and utter transparency of everything they try and do. The ratio of "effort:exposure" has to remain at all times as low as humanly possible. Never in canberra where these things might actually mean something due to our politicians being there, no it happens in the cbd of sydney or melbourne as it grants maximum exposure for the tiny effort of a stroll through a street 5 minutes away from their piece of shit hovel in newtown, which they drag their narcissistic carcass back to afterward.
Second is also extremely related, their means of coping with defeat, or more accurately not coping. The resurgence of right wing groups or ideas in trump in the us, one nation in aus or brexit and ukip in the uk should be met with a desire to rebuild within the left. A serious discussion of: we fucked up, what went wrong? How do we trim the fat? How do we make left wing politics great again? Instead what do we have? Protests, smug celebreties calling us uneducated rednecks (blissfully ignorant of how that alienates these people further) and generally blaming the fucking voters. No constructive dialogue at all to speak of, why? Because a major overhaul of the left is too much hard work, they have instead opted for crying until the general populus inevitably lets the pendulum swing back left at which point they can smugly claim "they worked for this" without actually lifting a finger.
Thats why I'm done with them.

Absolute final straw was the day of the last general election in the UK.
Conservatives won an outright majority. I had voted labour and was disappointed, and upset. However, in the time it took me to get to work, I had reasoned that the public had voted and that we must continue forward and make the most of whatever situation we find ourselves in.
All of my friends were screaming bloody murder on (((social media))), and then people started violently protesting. And then people I knew who were crying started saying they didn't vote.
I was disgusted. I went from being a labour voting quasi assured leftist to right wing classical liberal literally over night. But there had been earlier signs; for example, I had long ago stopped following and buying liberal newspapers, because of how biased they were being.
