Think about it, if they wanted to reveal something to us, they would just reveal it.
They are sending a public message to whoever doesn't want this shit revealed that they have the ability to reveal it. Its a way of protecting themselves.

Wikileaks is likely compromised though. The only reason they'd be teasing is if they are trying to get some higher power to release the information before they do, or that they're just CIA larpers now.

Exactly, the best theory I've heard is that it's a threat to keep the powers that be from interfering with the Ecuadorian election. If that's the case I doubt we're gonna get anything because it wouldn't make sense for WL to reveal what they have cause then there's no veiled threat.Unless what they have is so damning that other countries will jump up and offer Assange asylum.
