Zimmerman did nothing wrong. The only witness to the event to the event other than Martin and Zimmerman was a guy named John Good (the fight took place in front of his house). He testified that he heard yelling and went outside and saw Martin beating Zimmerman's head into the pavement and told them to stop or he was going to call the police, and he went instead to call them Martin got shot.

Martin's autopsy showed that he had no injuries other than the bullet wound, meanwhile Zimmerman was bleeding from the head. The autopsy also showed that gunpowder residue was on Martin's close and body, which would only happen if John's testimony that Martian was on top of Zimmerman and the shot was happened at point blank range.

There never was any good evidence against Zimmerman, all the evidence supported Zimmerman's story.

Zimmerman's truck was parked at an intersection. He got out to follow Martin, but lost him. So he went back to the truck to wait for the police that he had called.

Trayvon attacked Zimmerman as he was going back to the truck rather than going home or calling the police.

If Zimmerman had lied about heading back to the truck the fight would not have been so close to the intersection.

The witnesses also testified that the fight did not move or involve running.

This is why the prosecutors trying to make it seem like Zimmerman ran down Trayvon as he headed towards his house for 4 minutes after the end of his 911 call doesn't make sense.

Trayvon didn't call 911, he didn't go home, he didn't do nothing except get shot trying to kill a neighborhood watch volunteer who tutored black students in his spare time.

Dispatcher told Zimmerman to let them know what Trayvon was doing, so when Trayvon started running, Zimmerman got out of his truck and followed after him so he could comply w/the dispatcher's instructions. It wasn't until after Zimmerman was following Trayvon and started breathing heavy that the dispatcher asked him if he was following Trayvon, Zimmerman responded yes, and the dispatcher literally told him "We don't need you to do that." Then Zimmerman started heading toward his car, and you can tell he lost Trayvon and had no idea where he had gone at that point, because he was really nervous about giving his address out to the dispatcher on the phone for fear that Trayvon could be nearby eavesdropping.

The dispatcher *never* ordered Zimmerman not to follow Trayvon, they don't even have that authority. They're civilians sitting in a PSAP getting paid minimum wage to answer calls. They aren't cops.

Also very important to note that the dispatcher will always say that in circumstances similar to this so that if the caller is harmed, they can't hold the police department responsible for their actions.
