>Starting Sunday, "value" days for Magic Kingdom will cost $107 for adults and $101 for children. That represents a $2 increase from the previous prices.
>During the "regular" times, park visitors will pay $5 more, with prices jumping from $115 for adults to $109 for children. The "peak" prices will remain the same at $124 for adults and $118 for children.
so? how is this the free market? how is this the price that consumers are actually willing to pay for and not "willingly" paying for it because they re forced to pay for it? this is not free market economics at all. this is not the price being drive by demand. its the price being drive by greed. this does not MAGA.
Blake Morgan
Disney parks are miserable places >Big fat burgers everywhere >Long lines >Kids running around being jackasses >Adults who think they're kids running around being jackasses >Loud mexican familias >New (((diversified))) Disney >Star Wars and Frozen everywhere
Josiah Jones
You are not forced to buy disneyland tickets, genius. The price is driven by supply and demand. There are two Disneyland parks in the entire country and they are packed every day of the year. Clearly demand far exceeds supply, thus prices go up. Economics 101.
Cameron Morales
You aren't forced to go to Disney theme parks. Go to Universal or one of those chinese knock offs. Demand is higher for Disney because of the characters associated with it. They have more leeway to charge higher prices.
Jonathan Nguyen
What the fuck are you talking about? If people don't want to pay it, they'll wait til it's cheaper. And if Disney doesn't lower prices, they'll go out of business. If you don't go out of business, it means people are willing to pay it. This is literally the free market at work, what the fuck does greed have to do with anything?
Jace Lewis
disneyland is fucking faggot shit now. it's time to grow up and let it die.
Cooper Rogers
>Falling for the Disney meme >Not going to Hershey park instead Wew lad.
Luke Roberts
Probably has more to do with inflation than greed. Plus if Trump delivers on his promises, they won't be able to hire H1-B's and pay them less than American workers any longer. May be a reaction to stuff like that.
Also, 20 some million visitors a year are willing to pay $100+ for tickets. It's not even like this is a vital service like electricity, nobody needs to go to a theme park, it's a luxury. Obviously $100 is worth it to many consumers for the day of entertainment they get out of it.
Jordan Jones
In what way are people forced to buy tickets?
Aiden Allen
Do you think that free market means you don't have to pay for things at the market?
Henry Hughes
This must be bait. Disneyland is supposed to be a fun getaway. You don't have to go to Disneyland, if you want to save money just play a video game with Disney characters, there are plenty of those.
Christopher Rivera
>can get tickets from work or uni for $65 all i see is less and less poor fags clogging up my line to its a small world
Zachary Cooper
ok i understand people aren't forced to buy tickets. but guess what there is only one magic kingdom, and if you want to go then there is no choice but to pay the grossly inflated price. so you are "forced" to buy tickets if you want to take your family there.
have any of you been to Magic Kingdom? it sure as hell is not worth 100$ to stand in line all day and only get to ride a few rides cause the line is so damn long.
Nathan Turner
Six Flags is better anyway.
Lincoln Kelly
Mah fellow northeast nigga
Easton Rodriguez
Shouldn't inflation be taken under consideration?
Hudson Ward
Are you literally retarded?
Bentley Nguyen
wtf. i hope trump looks at this. these prices need to come down. bigly
Chase Ross
>have any of you been to Magic Kingdom? it sure as hell is not worth 100$ to stand in line all day and only get to ride a few rides cause the line is so damn long. then dont go
Easton Evans
>ywn go back to 1998 Disneyland >epcott center was new and in it's prime, like a world far >park was new >only happy white families as far as the eye can see >good movies based on morals
Now it is literally a rotting corpse filled with disgusting immigrants. I wouldn't spend 5 bucks to take my white children there.
Matthew Watson
>only one
There's 2 just in the states you island nigger
Ryan Gutierrez
exactly you can pay 20$ to ride rollercoasters all day and have a better time than paying 100$ which does not include parking and food.
Jordan Ward
Disney fired their entire IT dept. and replace with H1b shitskins just last year. So im curious what the justification of this price hike is
Oliver Collins
Hershey park is nowhere near as large. They aren't comparable at all. Universal vs. Disney is a better comparison.
Charles Green
I went to both parks, my grandparents lived in Commiefornia, frequently as kid during the 90's, and all I can say is your lying sack of shit. I saw tons of illegal midgets in both parks.
Evan Hughes
Still totally worth it. My last trip there with the BF ended up being about five grand all told for absolutely everything and I don't regret it at all. Also Gaston has the best job in the world, he gets paid to be a misogynist asshole all day.
Carter Edwards
Yeah don't go it's a scam. There are better things to do with your money and family. $107 is a lot of fun money if you're not shit with money.
Leo Nguyen
While you don't have to go to Disney, I get what you mean.
When every company in the US raises its prices to obscene levels, what can you really do? Just say "no"?
Car companies have started doing the same. My dad bought a 2002 Silverado LT brand new off the lot for 23k. That same exact truck today is 45-55k. What the fuck justifies a price increase of 20k? It's absurd. It's not free market at all, it's just extortion.
Companies here can literally charge you whatever they want and the people are forced to pay it. I remember cell phone bills used to be cheap as hell, like $35 a month. Now they're $75. It's ridiculous.
Cameron Martin
wrong! there is one magic kingdom. and its in florida.
disney land is in califonria. walt disney world is in florida.
Daniel Cooper
Epcot and Animal kingdom are actually fairly neat, but still not worth the price of admission.
Levi King
no i am saying that if a dad wants to take his kids to meet mickey mouse theres only one way to go and now it will cost 1000$ for a family of four to get in and have a reasonably good time. this includes parking, food, and souvenirs. as well as travel expense.
Austin Evans
There is not justification you bluepilled faggot. They are not bound by any moral obligtions. They charge what they can get away with charging.
They're ENTIRE goal is to maximize profits for their investors. If that means screwing everyone else in the process, then so be it. They want to see growth every quarter, and they want to get it however they can.
Jace Hernandez
>not getting in for free because your siblings work there
Step it up nigga.
Henry Powell
c.mon man 5000? can you break down expenses for us?
Jose Baker
>Essentially a monopoly Unless there are other parks that are better then this stuff will usually happen
Ayden Butler
Is $100 really a lot for a 8+ hours of entertainment and a once in a lifetime experience?
Hell people out there will spend $20 each to spend a couple hours at a movie and have some concessions.
It's obviously all a matter of personal preference, but I don't see the big deal. And again, nobody is forcing them to go.
Remember that a business isn't a charity. They will charge as much as the market will bear and they can get away with. Only an idiot would willingly sell their product or service below market value.
I mean would you sell your car that might be worth $10k for only $7k? Of course not. Does that make you "greedy"?
William Robinson
7 day trip, hotel was on site in the French Quarter at about $300 a night So that's about two grand. Tickets for two people for 7 days at a bit under $100 at the time so about a grand there Dining service option which gets you two meals and two snacks per person per day was about another grand. Two round trip plane tickets were about another grand.
Nathaniel Jackson
>What the fuck justifies a price increase of 20k? Increased fuel economy and safety. Pretty much every year comes with government mandates that vehicles include more safety features while getting more miles to the gallon. To make it happen requires huge spending on R&D plus the per vehicle implementation costs. All of this is in addition to inflation, which hasn't been very high per year but adds up over fifteen years.
Joshua Gonzalez
The truck is literally identical except for an ipad in the center console. Fuck off
John Foster
There are Disney stores at malls around the country that do events where kids can meet Mickey and other Disney characters.
Daniel Collins
>inflation inflation
yeah let me tell you about "inflation" this year those receiving social security got a cost of living adjustment for inflation. guess how much???
.03%!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so an average of about 3-4$.
Josiah Ross
oh no!! 5 dollaz, i can't pay my healthcare now
Anthony Anderson
You're really stupid if you think the truck is the same as it was fifteen years ago.
Dylan Butler
And most businesses also don't increase their prices every year to exactly match inflation. What's your point?
Governments aren't going to give people more money, and businesses aren't going to risk raising their prices and ticking off consumers if they can help it. Doesn't mean that inflation doesn't exist.
Eli James
>The truck is literally identical
No, it's not. Government requirements for 2002 and 2017 have changed greatly. You're obviously a millennial faggot with no real world experience. Bet you can't even change the oil in a car since you only care about superficial things like ipads. Stop obsessing about chrome bumpers and door handles. Most of the value in a vehicle is not even in your view without popping the hood or climbing under. Your generation truly is one of whining pussies.
Logan Gomez
>tfw never got to experience Disney Land before it became a nigger/spic infested gang territory
Christian Gray
Red herring that has nothing to do with the cost of automobiles.
Jaxson Gray
inflation does exist. my point here was that the SS COLA is a fucking joke.
Jose Roberts
What's wrong with this? If they made it cheap you'd go and wait all day just to ride one ride, after paying an extra 50 dollars for the "express" lane
Adrian Adams
Which has nothing to do with the price of automobiles.
Jaxson White
Ok shill, I've seen the trucks. They're literally the exact same. Gas mileage is virtually unchanged.
Go shill your corporate bullshit somewhere else cunt.
Sebastian Campbell
Disneyland and Disneyworld are petri dishes...
Joshua Martin
Where were you flying from/what airline? that seems a bit expensive for a flight. just did a trip there from California and plane tickets were less than $200 per seat on JetBlue
Gavin Lee
Midwest. And it was over the Halloween weekend (wanted to experience all the cool events for that) so prices were higher than normal.
Jaxson Lee
>you are "forced" to buy tickets if you want to take your family there. So don't fucking go.
>have any of you been to Magic Kingdom? it sure as hell is not worth 100$ to stand in line all day and only get to ride a few rides cause the line is so damn long. SO DON'T FUCKING GO!
Why are we still arguing about this?
Adam Robinson
holy shit dude you're completely retarded and have zero grasp of economics
Lucas Anderson
You can always buy the base model.
Brody Garcia
>When every company in the US raises its prices to obscene levels, what can you really do? Just say "no"? YES - that's exactly what you do.
If you can't afford a new car buy a used one. If you can't afford an iPhone buy a cheaper phone with less features If you can't afford to go to Disneyworld, don't fucking go.
Jesus people, it's not fucking rocket science.
Jose Adams
I just want to let you know you're a fucking moron and there are multiple people laughing at how much of a fucking idiot you are.
>millennials wonder why nobody respects them >constantly act as if they are an authority on a subject they know nothing about
Cooper Ortiz
I mean I agree, I don't go buy this new junk every time it comes out. And I refuse to go to Disney World despite the fact that it's only an hour from my house. But that still doesn't get to the core issue of it -
Which essentially equates to everyone living in poverty again buying the cheapest, shittiest shit they can. So that's your solution?
Great vague argument you shill fuck.
Henry Russell
>You can live at Disney World now
What a steal.
Jaxson Ross
They're charging what people will pay, that is quite literally the basis of the free market
>They have a monopoly
One of the stupidest things I've read today, does Toblerone have a monopoly because they're the only people selling Toblerones?
Easton Martinez
but it does. if the prices are adjusted for inflation. thats what the cost of living adjustment is for...inflation.
Bentley Fisher
You're just provably wrong and you refuse to admit it. You haven't posted the stats of the older car vs the newer one, you have no idea what goes into making either car, and you don't even know the price of the vehicle you're arguing about, you literally just took the high-end price with every option on it, and even then you are 5k over the average asking price.
Kill yourself, faggot.
Jacob Cook
>does Toblerone have a monopoly because they're the only people selling Toblerones?
yes, they have a monopoly on toblerones dumbfuck, that's literally the definition.
Benjamin Davis
Nice house but the neighborhood is shit.
Juan Wilson
heyeheyeheyehey!!!!!! have you seen what the fuck tobelrone is doing?????? they are giving you less chocolate for the same price!
people will pay the inflated disney price if they want to go dissent because that is the only way to go to disney. do you think they really desire to pay 100$? do you think they would cheer if prices dropped by half?
Ethan Martin
100 years ago people were happy to go on picnics or, if they lived nearby, the beach. We need to go back to the simpler things in life. This is all due to feminism!
Nathaniel Powell
Why would it be shit? It's gonna be exclusively rich white people.
Jayden Carter
The point is it's a ludicrous application of "monopoly" because you can say every company has a monopoly on their specific product
Wyatt Sullivan
If you want to buy a specific product or service, you have to pay whatever price the producer sets. If you're so concerned about the price, either go to a less expensive park or stay home.
And also your whole point seems to be the Disney land is the best, which is debatable, but even if that's true, if Disney land offers the best product, of fucking course it can charge the highest price for admission. You are so goddamn retarded
Levi Sullivan
Still has nothing to do with the price of vehicles. Social Security can be spent on things other than buying cars. Not sure why you think otherwise.
Eli Lewis
cost of living (COLA) has nothing to do with inflation. Literally Zero. They have nothing to do with each other.
Cost of living is set income divided by regional income. COLA is the reason a US Army private makes 4600 a month in Chicago, yea makes 1700 a month in Paducah KY
Cameron Smith
In a true free market, anybody would be allowed to open a Disney park to compete. Instead we have socialist copy protectionism for Disney while they give lip service to real free enterprise.
Sebastian Edwards
Listen, if people had their way, Disney tickets would be $0. Why would people pay at all if they didn't have to.
Like I said before, businesses will try to charge as much as possible, and consumer will try to pay as little as possible. What people actually end up paying is somewhere in the middle of that.
Jaxon Allen
this is the average intelligence level of a flip
dumbest in asia, i swear.
Gavin Sanchez
>go to theme park
>ride a couple of lines, waste time in line
I just don't get the appeal. I went to Six Flags once, and it was ok.
Zachary Ross
Walt would be spinning in his grave if he found out what the Jews had done to his legacy
Elijah Peterson
Or Disney obsessed Asians, they love cute stuff. Gril or fag?
Juan Johnson
You can have monopolies on services or resources, not on products. Monopolies are bad for the free market because they lack competition, Tobleron competes directly with all the other chocolate companies and indirectly with other luxury foods. Disneyland likewise comletes directly with all the other entertainment parks and indirectly with all other entertainment, calling it a monopoly is disingenuous and frankly fucking retarded
Ethan Cox
>regurgitating corporate excuses you heard on the radio is knowing stuff
Jose Jones
Fine by me, the point is there would be no spics or basketball-americans living there. Also gril.
Michael Bennett
Disney lost their cool when they shut down the "rent a tard" program.
If you want leather seats now you have to upgrade to the LTZ which is 55-60k.
And yes, I've been to the dealership, so I've seen the prices you stupid fuck. There's no point in even arguing with you because I have concrete numbers, you're just a shill with some bullshit vague argument.
The gas mileage has only increased 1-2mpg. Hardly justifies the 25k price increase.
Dylan Smith
More like Chinese tourists that don't understand what a line or personal space is.
Angel Morales
>So that's your solution? That's how I grew up.
My family didn't go on trips to theme parks - we went to museums and historical sites. My sisters got new toys for Christmas and Birthdays and if we wanted something else our dad made us put it on layaway at the toy store and do chores to earn it. My dad didn't drive a brand new sports car to work, he drove a 1986 Ford Tempo that we spent countless weekends working on together and which survived long enough for me to graduate college. I didn't have a cell phone until I was 17.
And you know what? I was fine. It gave me an appreciation for things. It gave me a sense of respect for saving, for earning, for living within my means instead of going into crippling debt to buy a new car or a new phone or a new TV every couple of years.
I plan on raising my kids the same way.
Christopher Hill
Never heard of CAFE?
Jason Thomas
i'm a mechanic.
How about you regurgitate some of that cum you've been drinking so you can think straight, faggot.
Liam Brooks
Go on /o/ for a bit.
Jayden Richardson
>does preventative maintenance >thinks he's an expert in finance now
I can change an air filter too fag. Doing brakes aren't even hard. Try getting a real job you white trash piece of shit.
Jack Miller
How are you still not understanding the argument?
James Torres
Inflation has increased roughly 34% in 15 years minus any kind of technological upgrades. Your example is the true definition of mouth breather.
You dont care about anything other than how much your dollar can buy. Hence you and your type generally buy technology 10-15 years behind the times. Your "good enough"attitude is why rural America will always be the bottom feeders of American society
Ayden Butler
Shut the fuck up you uneducated piece of shit, your shitposting does nothing but show how blown the fuck out you are.
Mason Turner
Because the argument is fucking retarded, and if you cant "see" that, you are very possibly retarded too
Brody Evans
>they re forced to pay for it?
last time i checked Disney Land wasn't mandatory so how bout you go play a fun filled game of hide and go fuck yourself and stop creating false outrage
Caleb Robinson
I bet you don't even know what a camshaft is. Stop taking out of your ass about things you know nothing about you just make a fool out of yourself.
