All true, I more or less meant what's their excuse for the disparity between "no booze, growing brain" and "have some more pills pillhead". Nobody seems that concerned with altering the still-forming brain of children with drugs who's longterm side effects are mysterious at best and malicious at worst.
I'm a psych nurse and I'll tell you that there are some people who do legitimately need this shit. I work inpatient acute on the adult and geriatric side of things though, can't speak for outpatient with moms wanting to fix timmy's grades with a pill that makes him a zombie.
It takes a while to build drug levels but there are people out there who are better on these drugs than they are off, to the point that they were unable to function beforehand.

It's important to shop around for good doctors, though, just as for anything else. My nearly 100 year old grandma was a miserable junkie for a while until we got her to switch doctors and now she's pretty content as she fades out into the sunset.

one of the saddest things I see in my work is the geriatric clients who were war veterans, and the VA doctors they were assigned to turned them into drug addicts with benzo and narcotic prescriptions. The right doctor can make all the difference for sure because there is a fuckton of wiggle room in psych for subjective opinions as you said.

Ritalin works differently for some people. It either works similar to amphetamines, given you euphoria and motivation or it will give you massive anxiety. I'm the anxiety type. They are good for redpilling, desu.

I was put on so much fucking shit when I was younger. At one point I had 7 pills for anxiety, ADD, depression, and other shit. I stopped taking all my meds and seeing a psychiatrist since I went to college, but the damaging effects are still here. These medications create far more issues than they solve in the long run.
Because you have to learn a whole lot more to be able to prescribe medicine as opposed to analyzing dreams and listening to their problems.
Ritalin in smallish doses for me actually does improve focus to some degree. It seems to calm certain aspects of the personality and to promote the 'reward' feeling of completeing tasks or studying (dopamine).
The ways in which it mutes the personality are actually quite dramatic.. I remember sitting in front of my laptop when my girlfriend would get home from work, and just not wanting to interact with her at all... I just remember feeling flattended out, while also wired and depressed.
If you abuse the shit it's every bit as stimulating as cocaine. Causes extreme heart racing and lack of appetite/insomnia.
It's a serious drug and if it should be given to any minors at all it should be in serious cases... not every other kid in the school.

Ive been on stimulants since I was a kid, I think you guys are blowing this wayyyy out of proportion. 5mg Ritalin is not that big a deal. It's a reuptake inhibitor, it just allows your brain to utilize endogenous dopamine for longer. Kids who have naturally low levels of internal stimulation act out kinetically to stimulate themselves, and ironically the way to remedy this is to provide internal stimulation. Go ahead and argue it's the school system, it's the Jews, whatever, but small amounts of stimulants is really not as extreme as you're making it out to be.
I admit it's not the answer for everyone but I was a fucking faggot as a kid, I'd do detrimental shit on impulse, like once I bit a kid for no reason at all. A bunch of doctors thought I had autism/Asperger's, because the hype around ADHD hadn't really cropped up yet.
I still do shit impulsively now, but I'm smarter about it. Taking medication didn't turn me into a speed addict or a walking skeleton, the horror stories you hear are from people who don't have ADHD. At therapeutic doses and under the guidance of a good physician it's totally fine in my opinion.

When I was younger I hit someone with my car and stepped in front of another one. Went through a psych ward. I figured I could go with it and get a lower sentence. Turns out it's not a good idea. I got reamed by the court anyway.
I was just edgy. But the thing is you can't ever reconcile this. Once you develop a 'history' you can't fight it. There's no 'start over' or forgiveness with records.

Based on the experiences of a friend, I would strongly recommend against vyvance. It's easily the least safe of the stimulants he's been through, and that includes cocaine, ritalin, adderall (legal speed), and ephedrine.

At my highest I was on 20mg Adderal XR, but still for a medium build guy it's not very much. No addiction whatsoever, I could start and stop as needed. In fact, the ones who seemed most addicted were my normie "friends" who all came knocking when a big test was coming up.

Yeah, those XR pills are dope. Take one and cruise low dosage rather than always having to sneak off to a stairwell or something to break off another tiny bit to keep things going.
Relying on pills for a test, though, is a terrible idea. It gives you an unrealistic idea of what you're capable of unless you're planning on hitting up your friend for a pill every time you need to live up to your scores. I'm glad I figured that out early on and decided to only ever use free pills for fun and not for work.

I had a chance to review the school workbooks of a friend who got put on stimulants in elementary school, and the difference was remarkable. On the drugs and he'd write his name between the lines. Off the drugs and his name was all over the place and part of a big drawing that took up half the page.
So you can see why parents and teachers without knowing any better would think the drugs were a good idea.

Those fucking kikes tried to shove Prozac down my throat when I was 10. I pretty regularly criticized the school's administration for their awful handling of the school, I was also a target of pretty relentless bullying. Predictably, they did nothing. Eventually the bullying got so bad to the point where I was neglecting my school work, the staff thought I was broken so it was time to take me to the (((Psychiatrist))).
Thankfully the gambit of tests then ran with me showed that I was perfectly normal which confounded the fuck out of the administration. Eventually they got so tired of me that they sent me away to some shitty reject of a school out in the boonies. I had no support among the staff save for one teacher, she was a godsend, but she was ultimately powerless in their decision. Thankfully that godforsaken excuse for a 'school' was shut down by the state and I got pushed into a normal high school where I improved my grades and did perfectly fine. In collage now, doing well. Imagine what I might have been like on (((Prozac))) or whatever cocktail of government mind control is popular these days.
Also went to a local therapist for bully-induced depression. That shit fucks you up when you're young, the pain it causes lasts into adulthood.
Anyway, was paying about $60 a week for (((Goldberg)))'s treatment. I went, the first few sessions were okay, it felt good to have someone to talk to and vent to, but eventually she started drug pushing. I told her that I wasn't severely depressed, I wasn't about to kill myself, but still she insisted that I sign up for anti-depressants. I know about the dangerous scam that is SSRI's, they fuck up your dopamine system and create a dependancy which can only be filled by more SSRI's. Eventually you get so fucked up that you actually start desiring suicide or just go mental and shoot up a place, I knew to stay far away from that dope ass shit. Went a couple of more sessions, she just read from some workbook and pushed drugs yet again each day. That kike got no more of my hard earned money.
The pharmacological industry loves these guys, they try so hard to enslave people on anti-depressants and Xanax. If you can't focus in school, you get drugs. If you're a boy and act like a defective girl in public school, you get drugs. If you have any ideas of your own, they've got drugs to fix that. Shit's whack.

Psychiatrist here. It's not our fault. It's yours. We give medicines as a gateway for psychological and behavioral modification but you know what happens? It's easier to give Timmy pills forever and sit him front of the TV than to actually solve the cause of the issues.
I'd say only 10% of my patients bother to get the full treatment. Once again drugs are for the symptoms so you can work on the cause.
