This is the most horrific crime imaginable if you ask me. Insane how nobody talks about it. These are literally tens of millions of women and girls who are enslaved and raped dozens of times a day. You can't stop black people in Haiti from trying to enslave each other. What you can stop is people bringing them into the US. That starts with proper border control and public watch programs. Trump is locking down the borders, which is a damn good start. But if they do make it into the country, there are only two groups of people that will encounter them. Vice cops and Johns. The former can only cover so much ground. The latter will NEVER report anything bad going on because it can absolutely ruin their life if they're arrested for seeing a prostitute. So we really need legal avenues where girls can be licensed. Preferably in a way that is hard to forge. Going to see a prostitute? Scan her license card with your phone and see if it matches up to where it says she's supposed to be working. No license? Report it. Johns would be more than willing to help that way.

It's a tactic to normalise it. The news will say "human trafficking" to describe smuggling of willing people into another country illegally, or even willing prostitutes. It's the same as how they try to call rape sexual assault, and then classify any act of sexual harassment as rape. It's disgusting.
