Someone has to be emotionally ready to accept that they have been fooled and the time they have devoted to their cause has been wasted.

It brings a lot of emotions like perhaps feeling naive or stupid.

If you aren't talking with someone that is willing to accept a different point of view, then when they are hear facts that conflict with their worldview they simply disengage.

I had an encounter with my feminist teacher. Well it started when she went after my friend who was just a stoner and doesn't know politics or anything. He made a feminist joke, then she got all serious and said to him "Do you believe a man and a woman should get paid the same amount of money for the same job?" And he said "uh, yeah" and she said "so you're a feminist" and he was like "I guess", then I knew I had to step in. I just shouted out loud so the whole class could hear that the wage gap was a myth, and no one challenged me. That was it, that was all I had to do to save my friends honor

Teachers aren't really even allowed to get political but every so often she will just HAVE to talk about something, usually anti Trump. Haven't heard much lately at least. She mentioned how she doesn't agree with the wall because people have homes along the border. But there is this one lib tard kid in the class that is worse than her, he always mentions the "alternative fact" meme and calls Trump mr tiny hands, and always has to bring anti Trump into everything, It is annoying as hell.

That is the problem with arguing with these kind of people, it is a no win situation many times. Sometimes things are more debatable, but this issue shouldn't be debatable at all, it all stems from this one study that people misinterpreted and still are to this day, and it is sad people still believe this. Even figures like Sanders and hillary think this is a problem. Sometimes they just won't listen to facts, they just so badly want to believe women are still lesser than men, they just have to grasp at whatever they can to find something to fight for. Even though we are in a time with more equality than ever before. They should be fighting for women's rights in Islamic Countries, but they'd rather defend Islam and completely go against their values. These people are just delusional, and some even a terrorist murdering their own family in cold hard blood won't even change them. I just don't know what is creating these people
