Because to some degree he is right - gamer gate was similar to the whole hysteria around Trump in the sense that there's massive collusion, they have internal mailing lists to decide what narrative they will push on all outlets and so on.

Breitbart, and Milo in particular, supported GG very strongly. In fact, Milo's popularity is in a large part thanks to GG and 8ch.

Steve Bannon worked at Breitbart and now he's Trump's right hand... Some in the press even claim he's the real mastermind behind every decision that Trump makes.

Trump then threatens to cut funding of Berkeley after the riot over Milo's speech.

In other words, Kuchera is just connecting the dots and developing his own conspiracy theory around all of this.
