Military Service Thread

I've made these threads before, but I've always found them interesting, so here goes:

Were any of you actually involved in the military? (Doesn't matter what country)

1. What country was it for?
2. What was your job? (What did they have you doing?)
3. Where did they send you?
4. Did you kill anybody? (People get mad about this question for some reason, but I'm posting it anyway)
5. In retrospect, do you regret joining?

I am the kind of person who would excel in military intelligence or as a detective.

But I choose in this life to be selfish in a sense and not devote myself to the State.

I am an Individualist and this has taken me to other places that Iam happy to of learned about.

Yes
1)it doesn't matter.
2)it doesn't matter.
3)over there.
4)it doesn't matter
5) yes. The mil/gov was compromised by the Muslim Brotherhood at the highest levels as advisors and consultants, so the whole time we were over there fighting goatfuckers who'd never been ten miles from the house they were born in, the enemy was back here infiltrating the highest levels of the establishment.

smoked weed every day for 10 years

been slowly stopping over months, almost never smoke now

can i try joining? are there different standards for AF versus a civilian position that requires basic?

my uncle was af and says i'd be good af, but I think he's just memeing. I just want to have the shit beaten out of me during 9 weeks of basic and serve my country

first post gayest post

Nope, I went to college and got a couple of degrees in computer science.

Now I'm working as general labor for $9 an hour. I come home from moving material and make PRs to a few large open source projects.

Things are fucked.

US
security
commiefornia
nope
I regret joining AND getting married. One or the other.

1. See flag
2. Combat engineer, mostly road clearing shit
3. Aghanistan
4. Unfortunately not
5. No, I only quit because there weren't going to be any more deployments after your shitty prez tried shutting down all theaters of war.

>*tips*

Enlist as an officer, pay is iway better than what you get now

>I regret joining AND getting married. One or the other.

Do you think getting her knocked up as soon as you enlisted would have made things easier? if it's an option, would you think having your wife live with your parents for a while would help (as in not letting her get bored and start fucking around when you're deployed)?

1) USA
2) I was in the navigation division on a Los Angeles class submarine.
3) Deployed twice to the coast of South America. I'm not allowed to say what we were doing there.
4) No.

I'm also a leftist shill who hates Trump.

1. is real
2. programmer
3. nowhere
4. no
5. no

Chairforce fag here, they've gotten more lenient over the years about marijuana, joined back in 2012 told recruiter I smoked 10 times. Been in for 5 years. If you can pass a pee year you'll make it friendo.

I ran mounted and dismounted patrols in Iraq. It was mainly an ied fight so I never killed anyone personally but we did have snipers that would take out enemies emplacing ieds. Abfew guys in my unit also killed people unnecessarily in my opinion.
I've gone through periods where I've regretted it but I ultimately don't. I gained many red pills and got through it relatively unscathed.

Pee test*

Nope. If you're enlisted just stay single. Officers get more pay and respect and are more likely to keep a woman but even then she'l probably whore around.

Yes
1. Take a guess
2. Infantry
3. Middle East (non-combat tour)
4. I wish
5. No, it was my dream as a child and I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

are they different than the ones they sell in the Drugs Store? I'm pretty doubtful I'll pass one.

smoked a LOT

how about signing up and serving? Was it worthwhile? Are the lower and middle tier jobs fun too or do you have to be in the cockpit to enjoy it?

I'm 25 and bored with life. Thinking about joining for the adventure and discipline (and it would help for the border patrol job i want). I would have simply been way to immature if i had joined in my late teens or early 20s. Am i to old to join? by the time I'd leave for basic id be 26.

I would honestly not risk the drugstore shot. Just workout a lot and try to be clean for a while. It took me 9 months of waiting to get a medical job before I shipped off for basic so unless you're ok with taking whatever you can ship out faster. I'd say it differs, obviously if your a pilot or have a good job that you don't mind doing for 6 years you'll enjoy the he'll out of it. But a lot of the jobs like admin or cop are absolute shit, sometimes it's worth it to wait for a specific job you want but just make the most of what you can get unless you plan to do the full 20.

1. US
2. 11B (Infantry)
3. Iraq (twice)
4. Yup
5. No regrets, but ONLY because my experiences led me to becoming who I am today. I hated every fucking second of it, especially since I never agreed with going to war with Iraq. It smelled like bullshit from the beginning and I knew that we were only going to stir up shit, leave, and create a power vacuum. On top of that, the Army was the most fucked up, disorganized group of retards I've ever had to deal with.

But no regrets. I'm glad that I got to experience war first-hand; it's made me appreciate how precious peace is. I'm thankful that I was able to see just how fucked up life is for the people we invade and that I was able to empathize with them.

War is fucked, bros.

Yep. Been in 13 months. Getting close to finishing my dli course.

1) 'Murica
2) Shootin stuff
3) to war
4) No, just arabs
5) I regret not joining sooner.

1. U. S. of America, fuck yeah!
2. Handed out basketballs at the base gym.
3. Fairchild AFB, Spokane WA
4. I can neither confirm nor deny.
5. I regret that I only have one life to hand out basketballs to my fellow airmen.

>mind doing 6 years
>plan to do the full 20

fuck i so desperately want to commit to this but I worry its just because Trump is pumping me up and in 2 years I'll be getting spat on by insane airport lesbians for protecting them from muslim nanobots

Is there anything i can do where i can just do like basic and get my act cleaned up and then decide? I'm guessing they dont want people using the army like a Crossfit gym, but I do wish i could just take responsibility out of my own hands for awhile so i could break the cycle and stop hurting myself and everyone around me

How is that base? I have to go there for sere later this year.

>tfw you havent been to boot camp yet and cant take part in Military Service Thread

long fucking winters, unless you prefer that. more to do than mt home or minot. are your tankers/flightline? or services? if you work outdoors it sucks.

I'm 1a8x1 so I have to do it because I'm flight crew.

Sign up for 4 years, that's two years less, same benefits. If you like it extend, if not get out and you have that sweet g.i. bill to pay for school or a certification of your choosing. And you get tuition assistance of up to $4500 every year while on active duty status. I totally get where you're coming from. Tbh haven't really been called a killer or anything crazy like that, probably because I'm not stationed near liberal cities but the only time someone has tried to give me shit was overseas in Japan. All I'll say is use your time wisely, you can get sucked in to drinking a fuckton if you end up at a good/bad base. Just remember what you're trying to achieve but still go out and have a good time.

Veterans of Sup Forums, I have a question.

I got a good whiff of nitric acid in high school, and it pretty much ruined my sense of smell. At this point I can taste smells better than I can smell them. Is that going to be a serious problem in the infantry? As long as I keep my ass clean and stay alert for gasoline spills and stuff, would they ever get suspicious?

I'd hate to get drummed out of the Army because I didn't waft.

What is life like as an enlisted officer?

I'm afraid it'll be socjus-ed up.

trapped in NYC, suicidal, i don't drink except to not stick out with the guys or with a girl

this sounds like the ticket for me.

do i just walk into a recruitment office?

1. Check flag (yes we have military)
2. Combat Medic
3. Mali
4. Nope, engaged in combat
5. Nah, it's all good

Still in the military, and will be for the next 9 years, not deployed yet.
1. Germany
2. I'm in training to become an EOD sergeant, still got a year of seminars and trainings ahead of me.
3. They will send me to Mali in 2018
4....
5. Seems bretty gud so far.

Research it first. Look at the available jobs and schools, and take a few practice ASVAB tests to see if you're qualified off the bat.

Does it make me a bad person to hope world war 3 happens because i dislike black people? lol

>dislike black people
>world war

Yep walk in there and talk to a recruiter, before you do you need to be as clean as you can, recruiters typically won't waste time trying, to recruit someone that's not gonna make it through the screenings. If anything just tell them enough to get you into the door and go from there. Ask about current job openings and timeframe of how fast he could get you to boot camp. Assuming you only have the drug thing and no medical issues the MEPS examination will be a cake walk.

1. U.S.
2. Infantry 11B

3: Kuwait, Kosovo, and Egypt. No "actual" deployments.
4: No
5: Not really. I wanted to go in just to finish my degree, but ended up reenlisting and inevitably went warrant. In the process of medboarding, but this will take ages to process.

Go for it. Max age is 35 and you have plenty of time. There's truly no time like the present

>flag

>should have gone full time or picked a better trade

1. Flag
2. A shitty secondhand combat arms unit. Operated in shitty AO's.
3. Mostly west bank. Those fuckers are BLM levels of good with cameras and whining.
4. Was in a situation where RoE would allow me to only once, and by the time I realized it was too late and I was no longer allowed to. Saved several lives though. My medical oath is my most important oath.
5. No, it made me the person I am today.

You are a faggot, dodger.

...

>going to the military as a conservative
Idiots. You're the reason why the us is leaning left more and more. Conservatives go out and die or come back fucked in the head.

Kampfmittelabwehr, gehört zu den Pionieren. Bei mir Gebirgspioniere um genau zu sein.
They are training us quite well, I'm gonna be fine.

Were you in Panama?

An engineering EOD specialist told me that with sandniggers it's like an endless game of cat and mouse. Every countermeasure or disabling measure they think of, they go around next week. Watch yourself, krautmigo, those sandniggers are inventive bastards. And remember, always approach a burning tire with care.

What's it feel like to kill?

Bin ab dem 01.07 bei den fallis, aber als OA das heisst ich darf noch 5 jahre warten bis ich in die scheisse darf :(

1. USA
2. 31B
3. Kuwait
4. Nope, saw a bunch of Kuwaitis killed in car accidents though. Worst drivers in the world
5. Nope, glad I ETS'd though

...

thanks bro but I was a filthy reservist and I never even killed anybody

Delet this

Down in Israel we have special respect for reservists. Every active duty conscript remains a reservist for the rest of his life, and in most countries reserves are the main mass of firepower.

Yes and other areas in the early 1980's.

1. US
2. Still currently serving.
3. multiple places.
4. yes
5.no

Totally agree, IEDs weren't the most lethal killer in Afghanistan for nothing. However, the classic 'hurt locker' scenario is extremely rare, 99% are defused from a distance via material rifles or lovely Theodor over here. Also meditation helped me keeping my calm in many exercises, so it will keep doing that in a combat situation as well.

Pha, schmutzige Zauberschüler. Lass dich bei den fallis nur nicht rund machen will du OA bist.

...

I've done my mandatory conscription and surprise...it was shit

Conscripts=/=than joining professionally

3) central america, sw asia, africa
4) yes
5) i regret retiring

Fuck off Jew cuck

I didnt have the luxury to play soldier for a year for literally free(8 Euros/month) and be happy

Anyone thats happy with that shit is an absolute cuck

also i've never fully understood the people who are so closed up about the shit they did while serving, i think its healthy to talk about it at least for me it helped me normalize it and prevented me from demonizing my self.. i think a big part in certain forms of PTSD is people keeping their experiences (good or bad) bottled up inside. i dont feel any remorse or regret about any decision i made while out in the desert because ultimately i came back alive, and so did my friends

>1. What country was it for?
USA
>2. What was your job? (What did they have you doing?)
1361 (POG) drafting and surveying. in deployment did convoy security

Iraq twice
>4. Did you kill anybody? (People get mad about this question for some reason, but I'm posting it anyway)
nope
>5. In retrospect, do you regret joining?
America isnt the America I though tit was. Its all controlled by Jews and globalists. I think a militia would have been better. the benefits and pay are good. Should have used my GI bill more wisely but I'm definitely doing well compared to the average millennial.

What language?

>I exist solely for gibsmedat and getmemine
you are why your country is such shit.

I am the kind of person who would excel in being a tranny or as a dick sucker.

But I choose in this life to be selfish in a sense and not devote myself to tranny cum fart porn.

I am an Individualist and this has taken me to other places that Iam happy to of learned about.

You're good, nobody tests for that shit

Try 3 years of your life for one quarter minimum wage, fag.

Cringe

check out the Army's student debt repayment option user. You'll start as an E4 and the military will pay off your student loans for four years service
>service equals citizenship

You should dutch rudder the Greek faggot.

I have been wanting to sign up for enlistment. I can't decide which between Navy and Air Force. I told the Navy recruiter I'd like to learn welding. He said I would probably be an engineer, though I don't know what that entails.
Can I go to school while also active? I have an Associates degree and want to get a bachelor's then move on to MBA.

After basic training, I was to be a heliborne trooper. It was fairly tough, but it was trying too fucking hard to be an """elite""" unit.
>3. Where did they send you?
I've been to Malaysia, Australia, and that fucking shithole Brunei for overseas training.
>4. Did you kill anybody? (People get mad about this question for some reason, but I'm posting it anyway)
Singapore? Kill? Lmao.
>5. In retrospect, do you regret joining?

its a matter of survival you dumb nig

In order to complete your conscription while you;re not getting paid, you have to quit your job, gather money for a year expenses, endure all the yearly shitty life of a conscript and then go out and look for a new job in a fucked up market wher youth unemployment is at 60%

Its incredibly frustrating shit where you're being cucked hard by the state
