Tell me how IN THE HELL wearing a hijab or burka (or any restrictive religious garb) is in ANY WAY liberating. In NO way can you make that argument. Even if you use the most acceptable answer as to why you wear one, because it is your religion, and not "because my husband orders it" or "because it's the law", it is STILL a submissive thing. You are STILL being submissive to your God. I don't take issue with that. To me, religious explanations are the only acceptable explanations, but it is STILL submissive and in no way liberating. The hell outta here with that foolishness!

The main argument for wearing the veil is from the quran, which states : "O Prophet! Tell thy wives and daughters, and the believing women, that they should cast their outer garments over their persons (when abroad): that is most convenient, that they should be known (as such) and not molested. And Allah is Oft- Forgiving, Most Merciful." (33:59)
As to the underlying intent/meaning of that verse, it kinda speaks for itself. Identify yourself as muslim cattle or you will be cut down by accident during our peaceful raids. There are a couple of other verses which hint at the usual "hide your modesty" crap, but that is just fluff.

It is not a legitimate liberation, as in, an actual oppressive social structure is removed. No matter what bullshit rhetoric they spew and regurgitate, never believe them. It means, by all the evidence, to be free of white/Christian patriarchal authority. It is purposefully meant to subvert, disrupt and destroy white & Christian social cohesion and integrity.
This is how they are able to compartmentalize the suffering of other women, shilling for other cultures. There are a lot of individual and collective psychological manipulations and subversions that have gone into this process, to bring us to this point.
