Because this has nothing to do with that, it's not like all the northerners are libs and southerners are conservatives, this is far more complicated because the America hating liberals are all around us, in every state, county, and even city. There is no geographic divide this time, sure, some places are overwhelmingly liberal and vice versa, but this has nothing to do with the Civil War. Splitting up then would have no impact on what's going on now.
