Anyone here got experience of any kind of ebook device? How would you rate it?

Designated Leftist please describe your particular strain of leftism. Technically, Hitler and Blair and Stalin and Corbyn are all "leftists".

It's like he's willingly trying to fuck himself over. Although the media will jump on any sign of a flaw, he isn't making it easy for himself.

Convert it
Or download software to read it

I have a kindle fire hdx

But it's decent for e books if you don't need it to look like paper

I took this picture a while ago.

That is all.

"The postwar consensus again but without the US Dollar and the occasional immigration"

Breedon On The Hill, Derbyshire

youtube.com/watch?v=VstDOv0C1do
It all started with the Great Potato Famine of 1916,
when the British took all of our food,
and when we were took weak and too starving to fight,
they stole the seven counties in Ulster.
So Eamonn De Valera rode to London on the back of a horse,
to punch the Queen into the jaw,
as a symbol.
She locked him in jail for a hundred years,
and he smeared his own shit on the wall and starved to death.

I've got a kindle which I use quite often because it's so convenient. Though it's a bit annoying every time I read a good book and wish I'd bought a hard copy instead.

Night cunt.

as far as the eye can see!

Night

I knew there was something missing

I was thinking of buying one because of the wide range of free ebooks, I would love to be able to read the complete works of Shakespeare for or David Irving without having to pay through the nose for old hardbacks or complete editions

I have a pdf version and an ebook version of the same file. I assume the ebook version allows me to read it on paper like screens?

Daily reminder that Adam Curtis was right. The world is unimaginably complicated, and no person or group of people could ever hope to understand it, much less steer it. All of politics is a sham.

The most beautiful soul who ever graced this board
We didn't deserve him

But the world as we know it is a result of human control.

Ruth Davidson, Leader of the Ruth Davidson for a strong opposition (officially registered as "Conservative and Unionist") party and proud Lesbian.

I have to say it's good for those hard-to-find books as well as the fact that it's literally an entire library condensed into one device. However, if you've got the time and money I'd suggest buying hard copies.

You can read pdf on paper like screens too
Without colour

Your device may not support the file type
Kindles don't support epub

Would you say that you're as knowledgeable on your ideology as YKTD is on conservatism? Would you kindly recommend me some reading materials right now, and, if not too much trouble, do you reckon you could make a lefty equivalent of pic related over time?

Thanks.

You could say so.

I do spend an unreasonable amount of time maligning that the world was driven off a cliff by Americans

Am a Tory myself, but am 100% not convinced of her being a Tory. I do like her a lot, but not 100% convinced.

Yeah i am probably over thinking it, I'll just keep buying hard copies.

You think reading a couple books by the same guy, and running with his point of view as fact, means you are knowledgeable about something

>be dictator
>do whatever you want
>BTFO of Adam Curtis

100 questions about fascism is easy to digest and very informative. It's the book by Mosley.

There is a scottish comedian who looks exactly like her.

...

>Tory

Fuck off mayfly

If only someone was here to btfo mayflies

I did indeed. The view from the top, on a more typical Scottish day (and with my terrible panorama skills)

to be fair, he is quite knowledgeable about Hitchens

There is no such thing as human control. Maybe back when we lived in villages, and the biggest power structure was the tribal chief deciding who got what from the hunt. But the more you look at any one topic, e.g. Greek debt, the more apparent it is that events are shaped by macroeconomic forces too large and chaotic for human comprehension. Nobody, from Merkel to the IMF, can do anything but go with the flow.

...

I'm sure there used to be a fellow who posted here who used to do that.

Can't seem to recall his name though, oh well.

Mosley has always seemed like a bit of a meme to me

>There is no such thing as human control

:'(

Only because they banned the BUF, lad. Mosley was a great man, and he lead a great movement.

I think that he understands his viewpoint well and debates it with some degree of integrity.

Thanks but I wouldn't exactly say Designated Leftist is a fascist.

If political uniforms weren't banned what would be the uniform of UKIP?

Off the top of my head I can't really give much of great use.
"The Cameron Delusion" was interesting. While not entirely a Hitchenite conservative I do share the fundamental belief that we're still governed under Blairism, so there's that.

In general I suppose I'd steer you towards looking into Old Labour (1945-1979 for reference) and picking out characters who appeal to you from that, then reading into their backgrounds, stuff they did in office, etc. You'll doubtless have to forgive mistakes and (if you don't naturally take to the left) assume good faith consciously, but it's an interesting route to historical background.

There might be some value to the books by Wilson, Callaghan or Healey but I've not been able to find any ebook copies myself so I don't speak from having personally read them.

It's an awkward attitude to advocate, I suppose because it requires a specific balance of cynicism and optimism. One has to distrust both the Tory/Blairite "it was all a disaster and Labour governed the entire 1945-1979 period and it was just awful" narrative AND the "1983 was the only real Labour manifesto since 1945!" crowd on the left, while occasionally granting that some of them have interesting analysis (a far left publication for example once claimed Blair had admitted that from Campaigning in a byelection during the Falklands he picked up "War makes Prime Ministers popular" as a point on the doorstep.)

Dig and dig and keep digging online. That's my advice.

mfw YKTD has been saving comments about himself so he can put them in a collage to post and backup how he's missed etc

While not fascist, 100 questions is a nice little read. There's definitely some agreement in there - but you'd be right to say I'd eschew fascism on the whole.

The dictator, and whatever actions he may take, are simply another part of the system. Ultimately he is as constrained as anybody else. But because he is a powerless figurehead, not a powerless pawn, he is permitted the illusion of power.

Everyone acknowledges his is pretty knowledgeable.

They're banned? Bit gay. But Ukip aren't that kind of party anyway, if uniforms were allowed they'd still just wear suits. I see them as what the Tory party ought to be

>implying that will work this time

Constrained by whom, by what?

*he is

kek

Also implying he wont go through the archives to read about what people have been saying

And save those comments too

Who is Paul Nuttall?

This except in purple and yellow

Yes, it is a thing hard to talk about the fact that our world has ruined by these so-called allies, yet our government does nothing to fix it, and even worse, helps perpetuate their lies and evil-doing.

Sometimes, I agree with YKTD, this world is fucked up beyond belief - there's nothing we can do to save it. But, I look to Brexit, and realise that the common people have the power to unite against all odds, and likewise defeat the institutions and ideologies that threaten and torture us, despite all those odds.

If there is one peoples on earth that can do this, then it is the British peoples. We're the only ones who has the sanity to see the threat and the courage to take it on.

If you're talking about that Eternal Anglo meme, then yes he's a meme.

However, if you read into Mosley's ideas you'll come to be interested in him. He wasn't your average fascist who believed in state superiority and obsession over racial hierarchy; yet, he was still a fascist.

People then go on to assume that markets know what they're doing, in a fit of absolute insanity.

(Radical idea: Maybe if you don't let certain organisations get too big and too globalist, they'll be manageable - or at least their failure will be comprehensible and only doom one nation.)

...

It wont work but it's what I want him to do and expect him to do, kek

>implying YKTD won't be anonymously planting pro-YKTD comments over the next few weeks
>implying you're not YKTD
>implying I'm not YKTD
>implying anybody and anything on /brit/pol can be trusted as independent of YKTD's sinister master plan
