>that quote
had we only won the war...

What's the translation?

...

...

If only you had never joined the war*

That was your true mistake. Should've stayed out of it.
> a nation (people) of poets, of artists, of heroes, of saints, of thinkers, of scientists, of navigators, of migrants
Most of it is cognates with english. You should be able to figure it out.

3 many arches desu

>bc parliament

Beautiful building that, pretty amazing to see in person.

We might be cucked to shit at the moment but we have some damn nice architecture.

Where will be the next international exposition?

I want to buy a lot of land in Switzerland, like 50acres+ and build a castle.
>TFW I will never have the money for the land, let alone the building materials and labor.
Feelsbadman.jpg
I'll probably have to settle for something like this in Tahoe.

>that hammer and sickle

...

I want to get property in every circled area. I will never be this rich, a man can dream though.
>Where do you want to buy property Sup Forums?
Was thinking about adding a colorado one.

Also, fuck all of you.
Leipzig is god tier.
No, literal god tier.

i live in giethoorn

Expositions of the past are no more. They sorta lost their wonder.
The last Expo was in Milan. And Milan was trashed by anarchists for it.
But the next is Astana, Kazakhstan this year.
Hitler sent spies to the Soviet Union to see what they were building and built theirs larger. The idea is supposed to be "fascism looking down on communism". Allegedly.

Over rated

Agreed. I might get to see it this summer.

Gahh you beat me to it. Have this instead.

You think so? I think it's striking, a beautiful testiment to the best of Art Deco.

I have family in Utrecht, Den Haag, and Nijmegen.
I've been too Americanized and lost contact with my great uncles and 2nd cousins.
Got any pics of your city?
Giethoorn is fucking magic.

...

...

What's the cost of a home like there?
Assume 1-2 bedrooms, 1 toilette.

...

Been to Curaçao, it's alright, a mix of European/Mestizo/African culture. Kinda a dirty multi-culti mess. That being said it's not too bad once you get out of the city and into nature

/comfy/

...

...

I just need to own land in Curaçao because it's rightful Dutch clay.
Had land in Bandung prior to the fucking independence war too....
What's the cost of a 1-2 bedroom in Curaçao?
Got any pics?

>You will never own land in Lugano because it costs upwards of 5k a month to live here.
Why live?
Greatest city on earth.

Arch of Titus, 81 AD

What am I looking at? A pile of skulls? Why?

I guess this would fit in here

...

Some reconstructions put statues in the arches.
I wonder why they didn't with this one.

...

Why would there have been statues in EVERY arch? That's like a gorillion statues.

...

Never too many Roman statues

Probably not in every but in every, say, ten.
And the coliseum isn't actually that big.

underrated.

plz reply senpai

Or I'm wrong and it is every.
But again the colosseum really isn't that big.

as just a bridge, sure.
but as part of the city, no way.
SF may have been pretty bad for the last 50 years, but seeing this bridge from the city as part of the landscape is incredible.

contrast with modern mickey d's

Been there, it's tops. I'd love to own one of those Italianate houses there someday.

>the first one is also a modern mickey d's

yeah true, there are several modern designs, but the first one reflects the traditional building design while still appearing modern

the simplicity of the traditional mcdonalds architecture that was just about everywhere leaves a lot to be desired when you look at the modern locations like . it looks like a place you'd buy a watch in, not a gut bomb dollar burger

Bruh the mickey d's by my house growing up was insane. There was like a raised piano in the middle, a dinosaur statue and this shark coming out of the wall (pic related )

$5k a month in rent? That's not unattainable for smart successful people.

Opinions?

Victoria is a beautiful city. Way better than Vancouver, too bad Vancouver's problems are spilling onto the island...

One of the few reasons I can't bite the bullet and move out west.
