I'm seriously thinking about moving to Russia for a short period soon. I have to see it. i want to live in southern Siberia or somewhere off the grid.
Can you give me pros/cons and tips?

No I seriously would rather live there than America (surrounded by nigs and spics)
Kek. It would be wild.
But what about living expenses/visas? Is it expensive to live there?
>he took Russia meme seriously
Do you know the language?
Do you have money or a profession you could pursue?
Are you well informed about their culture or history?
If you can answer yes to all of those, you should probably just plan a short term vacation there and see if you like it enough to move long term.
It's cheap compared to anywhere in the United States.
I'm Mike Wolfe, and I'm Frank Fritz, and we're pickers. We travel the backroads of America, looking for rusty gold. We're looking for amazing things buried in people's garages and barns. What most people see as junk, we see as dollar signs. We'll buy ANYTHING we think we can make a buck on Each item we pick has a history all it's own And the people we meet, well theyre a breed all their own. We make a living telling the history of America One piece at a time
I can answer yes to the money part & I'm down to do crazy shit while I'm young.
So basically I have to see it. I don't want to die knowing I was a pussy who didn't see what the world is really like.
Like dirt cheap? Or just slightly cheaper?
>not knowing Russian and want to move to Russia
Dude, Russia is a hard place. There's a reason why people immigrant from it.
immigrate *
I don't know about the visas, check the embassy website.
Choose a city. I advise against "off the grid" places at least for the first couple of months. That would be "anything with population under 600.000". Generally you'd be good with a $1000 per month almost everywhere. I you have savings and just want to have an adventure - go ahead. If you plan to work here, see below.
Few of us speak English, and the further you go "off the grid", the bigger the language barrier gets. Youth is more likely to speak English.
Consider working as an English teacher- it pays and it's a common way for Americans to get in here.
Ask you question while I'm still here.
FUCKING DONT MAN!
Thanks for the help.
Yeah I guess going to Siberia wouldn't be the best move. How strict is it to get a visa? Do I have to have a job lined up?
And is Russia strict on immigration?
>Russia is a hard place
You don't know that either, do you?
Don't believe the propaganda.
not with all the kazakhs hopping in
I have Russian friends
Don't even think about it. Southern Siberia is an epicenter of HIV outbreak. Google: HIV in Russia.
Pros
>you get to be a NEET hermit for a while
Cons
>a group of 10 america-hating slavs drags you deep into the forest and smashes your face in with a hammer
In Russia horse fucks you!
You underestimate Siberia. Civilization does not end after Ural mountains. Look into Krasnoyarsk or Novosibirsk. Don't ever go to Novokuznetsk though, unless you want a full HIV KROKODIL GOPNIK experience (that will cost you dearly)
How would I know how to get a visa? I don't need one. It's strict for whites and literally no visa for shitskins (yes, don't fall for the meme)
It will be the worst decision of your life.
really?
Dunno if I'd live there, but Russia's a place I def want to visit before I die. Probably a good idea to start learning the language if you plan on moving there.
Why?
>Siberia
Very good choice, please never come back
Krokodil sounds intense. I don't want aids though.
I would bang so many Russian chicks.
Not a good idea dear burger, BUT
If you will, come to Primorye. It's the most fine part of eastern russia. Vladivostok is shit though.
>moving to Russia
You should at least visit once before doing something radical. It will probably be very hard without knowing the language. Also everything you know about Russia is likely wrong.
>Siberia
Novosibirsk is the best choice probably, it's pretty comfy.
I don't know about Siberia, but in European part of Russia you can pretty easily find a job as a native English speaker.
Like the average salary for Russian is $500 per month.
Gives you the ice AIDS
New Zealanders don't have friends
Lived in Russia for about a whole year. It was amazing. Don't listen to the Pol memes. I saw less homeless people there than in any European capital and the countryside was beautiful in Siberia. Just don't go there without money. Lot of people there are rich as fuck. You can have a lot of fun on St Petersburg.
AmA
Do your fucking research man
I had a dream
A dream to live in Kamchatka (the far-east peninsula of Russia)
Look up the suicide rates
Look up the crime rate
Look up everything else
Pros:
you get to hunt kamchatkan bears
live in a cozy cabin in nowhere (my dream, everyone knows alaska, no one knows kamchatka so people will leave me alone)
US won't nuke "my area" if we get into ww3 against russia
cons:
literally everything else
I might go live with the tuvan instead
or just mongolia
Tuvans are fucking savage.
Mongols are better, but not so much. Ulaanbataar mongols are vastly different from the nomads though.
Kamchatka would be amazing to settle down for a while. Whatever happened to that law by putin to gift ree land to the people in the far East?
"New Zealander don't have friends" says Canada, reclining in an armchair with Mohammed, the hate preacher and Wang, the Chinese landowner.
Sure glad I have lots of """friends""" like you.
Lol.
You wouldn't last a week you pathetic cuck. They would rip your tight little ass hole apart.
I'm not Canadian, I'm just using the flag
this thread reeks of teenagers
just move to alaska, kupreanof island is remote but still close enough to cities so you arent too far to get daddys money wired to you
I would get off the airplane swinging my big ass dick around and the slavic halfbreeds would offer their wives up to me in respect
>Living off the grid in Siberia
This.
Too many inexperienced Teenies in this thread who have no idea how and where to live a good life. Living in Russia can be amazing if you know how.
with money and friends anywhere can be great
dude havent you heard?
you need to be a leet hacker to become russian
even though 80% can barely afford a loaf of bread and some canned liver
Yeah. Enjoy having your dick cut off and beaten up in a dark alley. The Russian people have low tolerance.
that's what really sealed the deal for me
before it was just a fantasy to think of in class
now I almost did it but i'm holding back for now
as long as they don't ambush me in hordes or anything. The reason I'm interested is because I'd like to live in lonely places, either as a nomad, a forest dweller or a city no one knows (Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky)
I did my fucking research on that city and that's why it hasn't happened, OP is crazy and I've come to warn him
usd > rub exchange rate is pretty good. A little bit could go a long way.
You're not gonna do shit.
Wishful thinking.
>Primorye
Just go live in Alaska you fucking idiots. Literally the same life but better because you aren't in Russia.
Russians would much rather live in the US
Shit status: beaten out of you
I've done a lot of shit, trust me.
I graduated a year early from high school and moved to Europe to play semi-pro soccer for two years.... The whole time everyone was telling me the same thing. Talent + being adventurous will take you places.
this
youd be probably safer in Moscow than in London or Paris
This was obviously a joke. I don't fuck with Russians.
Cons:
Cold, dirty, depressing, poor, dangerous, full of muslims
Pros:
Can't think of any. Near zero chance to encounter a black person outside Moscow? Hook 9/10 girls even if you are complete autist?
Russia's warmest port on the east, not secluded at all, even Sakhalin would be a better option but it looks like a shit
your BC would have been nice too but your prices are shit
and fuck Alaska, besides the all-trump vote you don't know what really goes on up there.
you don't know me, leaf
This guy is absolutely right. Faggots are not tolerated, let alone welcomed.
They tend to chimpout over stupid reasons, i.e. look to their eyes and they charge you with a knife. Kinda similar to aussie abos.
A lonely place? See, you can actually try my Nakhodka here, it's small and always forgotten about, yet has decent climate and easy access to taiga (deep woods), the sea, mountains and such. Crime is low enough if you live by the coast, although it's still commieblocks.
Villages around it are also pretty good (for villages). We with family every year or two travel through deep taiga for a week or two. It's pretty comfy, although roads here are purely ancapistan level.
I guess that means I should just kill myself, because I wouldn't even be happy in Hawaii
Killing yourself is always the answer.
>Canada
Dont talk english or tell your american you would get fucked
I thought south east coast had a bigger population than the rest of the east though
also never knew those people were abo-tier
although the ancap roads won't bother me, the fact that they're 2 lanes surrounded by forest means I'd either get killed or robbed the moment I stop (I'd go deep inland, I live in a coastal state but not a coastal guy 2bh)
I'm a white Melbourne hipster that wants to move to Compton l.a.
Just to prove the stereotypes wrong.
Haha, did you fell for the Russia is white meme? Too bad bro, lots of muslims and asians
watch it bud, no one makes fun of Australia's greatest ally
Just move to a white state then go to Montana or something sheesh.
american moving to russia? kek, moron
they will eat you alive
>tfw live in southern Siberia
I don't mind Asians at all
I only mind Muslims when they're in the west because liberal pussies get cucked so hard.
>Highschool
Did you go to Uni? With only a highschool educations, you wont be able to do shit
We do
Live off the grid in the USA instead, then you get to keep your guns and language.
Yes I graduated college with an international business degree. I speak English French and Spanish. But only French fluently
Born in Russia, i can say you'll struggle initially without attempting to learn language. Unlike what the media says about racism in Russia, you will be treated very well (billion times better in UK esp crappy london) if you know the language. If you don't, you will be treated in a more unwelcoming way, the youth speak Russian, some like me without the stereotypical accent so having connections is important.
Life is cheaper in russia and has lots of nice scenery to the west, the girls there are very beautiful and submissive, so if you're a stronk amerikan man that is not overweight with a neckbeard and watches mlp you'll have success with them and their tight pussies.
There are heaps of expat americans living in Russia, though mainly in large cities. Moscow has huge expat community. But for that you need to be worth a damn and get an expat role in some international company.
If you want live offgrid, that's possible as well, there are example when american comes to russia and starts a farm somewhere.
If you want more white Russia, probably central european part would be a choice.
Depends a lot on what you want and what skills\funds you have.
Line up a job ahead of time as an English teacher. You'll so be balls-deep in premium 17-year old pussy you'll have to oil your dick three times a day to relieve the chapping.
Only the coastal cities are populated well here in primorye, deep inland you'll hardly ever encounter a man. Never heard of any road crime there. I think it's just not enough for bandits to profit, since most stuff is imported through the port. Roads are also often overcrowded (thank god for japan), and people tend to help each other.
There is also issue of chinks - although koreans are native to these lands for thousands of years, recently chinese started to move in as cheap workforce, but then came vietnamese who were even cheaper. Guess how easy it is there to find a decent job. Also central asians, but they tend to keep to themselves. Their food is shit tier though, but is cheap.
You could also try cities around Irkutsk, Novosibirsk etc. Climate is a bit worse, but infrastructure is better and more populated.
And no, overall it's not much different from other siberia except for the northeast, which is hell on earth.
>less homeless people there than in any European capital
No shit, wouldnt they freeze to death every night?
I lived there for a few months because my wife is russian.
I really liked it, but the russian people are not very welcoming against foreigners (which is a good thing, i can't blame them)
But once i earned their trust, they were really nice to me and i found new friends.
But since you're american and can't accept other peoples cultures, better stay in america. Seriously, you can't even speak russian. The russians are not self-hating cucks like the rest of europe. If you don't accept their culture etc. they will beat you the fuck up
Top kek
Russian girls are indeed fucking hot
>die
how easy is it to buy a piece of land in literally nowhere, about the size of a football field? requirements, process etc.
asking for a russian
american websites say I have to be traitorous or a billionaire
Now I know this is either a bait, meme or someone who just turned 18 and not knowing what to do with life, but really, if you're not happy in US, you won't be happy anywhere else in the world. Move to Alaska or something.
I would only move to Russia from US if I'd known Russian or be Russian, be already financially secure and wanted to live in a country where everyone speaks Russian ... or if I was Snowden.
Ewwwwwww i don't really know huh. They just give it. For free. I don't know what are requirements since my mother does this thing.
But it's free for us, and should be very cheap for others.
>you're American and can't accept people's cultures
>Americans are self hating cucks who don't preserve their own culture
Pick one
I would only consider moving to Russia if I lived in North Korea, Mongolia or one of the -stans.
I'd think living in Mexico would be far better than living in Russia. If you're not Russian you won't find any solace there. If you like an adventure I'd propose Bulgaria or Serbia.
There is for example Justus Walker, american who moved to Siberia.
youtube.com
He's not the only one
Best solution
Heh. My weird desire - to host any foreigner at mine's. I can show everyday life in RF, Moscow suburbs, Petersburg, no tourist attraction places but average life as is. OP, if you will really decide to visit RF in mid-summer (july), we could meet.
>i want to live in southern Siberia or somewhere off the grid.
Where have you been a year ago? We could go to some distant places such as Kola penensula by my car. But not in this year, though.
>i can't read
>The last two years have seen a mass exodus. The number of German citizens in Russia has more than halved, from almost 350,000 in January 2014 to 112,000 in early December. The number of U.S. citizens fell from 221,000 to 48,000 over the same period, and the British contingent tumbled from 179,000 to just 29,000, Federal Migration Service data show.
Why not go to North American Siberia? No crooked cops and everyone speaks English in this hemisphere.
True but It's not the same as the southern plains of Siberia. So fucking beautiful and untouched.
The Moscow business district makes the town look so weird
Like it's plucked right out of an anime
>So fucking beautiful and untouched
I've always liked the idea of rafting on the Lena River and seeing its beautiful cliffs.
In Russia grid goes of you!
This
It's ruled by mobs and the Russian government, which is full of ex mob members. So basically a double mob
