No, Carthage was semitic, dumbfucks. Garamantians were the one that colonized Northern Africa and the Maghreb in the beginning of the fifth century, which is why most of Northern Africa is now black.
Before hand, Africa was semitic, Carthage was founded by Phoenicians so that they could have a safe haven in the west. That colony was independant and developped it's own colonial empire.
