He didn't eradicate enough Libyans.

His jawbone was stronger than his army.

He didn't make strong enough arguments about fascism

>Where did it go wrong for him?

He didn't relax and make stupid noises

Just go huh huh huh, ni ni ni ni ni ni, whizz-bong whizz-bong mrs gandi ya ya

Pinochet was /ourguy/

Nepotism mainly

Care to explain further? I've always just heard it was italifags sucked at fighting.

He did really good job until 1941. People really loved him until 1941. But his army staff was retarded. It's his fault too. Italian Army wasnt ready for any armed conflict. Also he should have got rid of the King. It was obvious that the King will cause him trouble one way or another.

He redpilled whole nation before red pill was a thing.

Italian troops themselves were well trained and effective. The problem was that they were led by generals picked not for their skill but for their ability to brown-nose.

He should have built up Italy's industrial base more instead of invading Africa

Thanks. Nice digits too.

>Losing to Africans

You can't see them at night, understandable

Still is

Musso won that war actually, the one they lost happened in the 1890's.

He relaxed around blacks, a.k.a. communist partisans and assorted oppositions.

He also made the mistake of giving too much power to the Germans within the country, which backfired badly when they started losing the war.

He killed my great grandmother's brother just because he was an anarchist

Good riddance

As i said he did many good jobs.

>Be anarchist
>Get shot

Benito Mussolini was the Prime Minister of Italy for 21 years uninterrupted. Although he was deposed in 1943 and fought on the losing side of the war that's pretty goddamn impressive. He started out as a Marxist in his early days and then shifted towards the right after the first World War. He organized his own paramilitary squads and overthrew the socialists. Hitler idolized him in Mein Kampf. He was a patriot who wanted his country to be great, and I respect the hell out of him for that

He invaded Greece without consulting Hitler and fucked it up, made a huge mess and ended up delaying the invasion of the Soviet Union so the Germans could save his ass.

The Germans would have had more time before winter if Mussolini hadn't been so reckless.

kek

He tried to employ RL meme magic, but it just wasn't enough.

youtube.com/watch?v=RNX2V5wXDWg this is probably meant as an insult but I found it to be flattering

They also had shit outdated equipment from WW1 and weren't prepared enough for the war because Hitler declared it earlier than agreed between them.

It isnt excuse because he was leader 10 years before Hitler came to power and he was threatening Balkans and Abbysina even before Hitler came to power.

Well his equipment was kinda up to date before 1930. Especially against some small countries.

his jaw really wasn't that big he just stuffed his mom's spaghetti in his cheeks whenever he knew he would be photographed

It can't have helped that Italians didn't have a mutually intelligible language for the whole country.

Mussolini's writing is certainly worth reading.

Hahah! But it's true, we always do that

mussolini was based desu

"The Italians are good workers, but they are not fighters. They don't like noise." Wilhelm Ritter von Thoma

They also had bad equipment and not enough of it, never had an effective medium tank until too late, poor morale and leadership.
