It is a problem, I'm extremely tired of the campaigning, issue forcing, liberal "resistance", and the shitshow we still call news for some reason.
That said, if he is doing this to take his message directly to the people, I hope he keeps it up. The media obviously can't be trusted to report on anything he says or does. It isn't about information with them, it is only sensationalism and agendas.
I wish he would call it something other than a campaign event though.

He's pretty much never going to stop campaigning now.
The rally's are his best option to bypass the media and put his own message out. I don't think he expected to have to fight the media this hard after the election, let alone have to fight rebellions within the private service.
But since he has to face that reality now, going straight to the people and saying "Hey look, Washington and the Media are so corrupt you wont even get to hear the truth unless im taking time out of presidential duties to physically come and talk to you!" is pretty much as win-win prospect.

Air Force 1 is a travelling Oval Office, so there isn't a huge difference between him being in DC or elsewhere. He has secure comms to everyone he needs to talk to so there is no decision he would have to postpone because he isn't at the WH.
