And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle...

>And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.
What did he mean by this ?

He was being anti-semtic.

What about him ?

He is preaching communism like a true jew

Psalm 51 explains it fairly well

attachments are burdens

Apparently Jesus is a Camelphobe, if you read everything in the bible literally like liberals do.

The early Christians lived in communes. Christianity as advocated by Jesus is inherently socialist

he was admitting that his teachings were those of a slave religion, unfit for the most competent and intelligent members of society.
how could one who has the power and ambition to rule their own life subject themselves to the whim of an inactive deity?

Lust not in the flesh

The next line is:

>Through God, all things are possible

I think you mean to live in the great abyss of niggers and heathers. Gas yourself degenerate.

...

That the majority of the rich are absolute cunts. And he's right.

Jesus was a kind of proto-socialist and was against inequality. That's why he said the rich should give their wealth to the poor

false dichotomy
not a response.
read a book

The psalm 51 does not really deals with this subject

Marx:
>Nothing is easier than to give Christian asceticism a socialist tinge. Has not Christianity declaimed against private property, against marriage, against the state? Has it not preached in the place of these, charity and poverty, celibacy and mortification of the flesh, monastic life, and Mother Church? Christian socialism is but the Holy Water with which the Priest consecrates the vexation of the aristocrat

Christianity is a tool for jewry, for socialism and communism, for antiracism, for open borders, for pacifism,....

As the great Oswald Spengler already said; Christian theology is the grandmother of Bolshevism

That doesn't remove the criticism of rich people.

2 Possible explanations:
1) It's difficult (almost impossible) to go to heaven and no amount of earthly riches will make it easier. It doesn't matter if you are rich or poor, successful or a loser: getting into paradise doesn't get easier. The way for everybody is only through Jesus Christ.
This is also a counterpoint to a common believe at the time that "gain is godliness" and that if somebody has a lot of wealth that is a sign from God that they have been blessed and are in his good graces. Jesus says that this is not the case and your earthly treasures stand in no relation to your piety.

2) It's harder for a rich man to go to heaven because he feels like he can do everything by himself. If you are a billionaire it's easy to think that you can do everything without God and to neglect your faith. If you are in the gutter on the other hand and have no money God is often the only thing you can cling to. The poor man is most likely not as likely to waste his money on drugs, prostitutes, etc., it's easier for the rich man to sin and ignore the needs of his neighbor. It takes a lot of self-control and faith to be a "good Christian" when you are on the top of the world and feel like you have everything due to your own works.

Jesus prefers unmotivated losers. If he were around today, he'd probably be in his parent's basement playing World of Warcraft.

Rich people are too attached to materialism and content to reach gnosis

You are an idiot

By choice, not by force. It would be more like a family... Oh I see why you don't get it.

>read a book
Shitty response
Specify which book. You could be telling me to read Fifty Shades of Grey with a response like that.

Because monie corrupts people

You can't get into heaven alone, even if you have everything here on Earth. Through God, anything is possible. The impossibility of a rich person from getting into heaven is negated once the rich person finds God.

He said that to a man who didn't want to abandon his wealth.
Trump sacrificed his empire and his billionaire lifestyle for the people of america. He will go straight to heaven.

rich people indulge themselves and generally have easier lives and dont need to really struggle to survive.
Struggle builds character and spiritual growth. "god afflicts those he loves" etc. No struggle = no real growth.

>Christianity is a tool for jewry, for socialism and communism, for antiracism, for open borders, for pacifism,....
But none of that is in the bible. What people who call themselves "Christians" do does not matter

It's not he said it was by force nor family like?

Cleanse me with hyssop, and I will be clean;
wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.
Blacks btfo

>sacrificed
>being this naive

trump is doing what the fuck he wants, i hardly call that a sacrifice.

what's in the bible is a rejection of patriarchal family structure, nationstates, marriage, and society in favor of asceticism

The guy was hippy degenerate leftist. Who gives a shit what he meant?

>muhh poverty builds character
Bullshit. If anything it erodes it. Rich people struggle too. Struggle towards a goal or to become rich in the first place

Where, exactly?

Those who know
They don't let it show

all of that is spread through the new testament. to cite every instance would be overly burdensome. i assumed you had read it enough to have an intelligent and informed discussion on the matter

You enter the kingdom of God by giving up the egoistic self and thus your attachment to the material world, what the Hindus call Maya. This is what is known as enlightenment. The death before death; the dissolution of the false self, the Ego, and the realization of one's own true essence as the immortal Spirit, or God. Then you become as Jesus Christ and the Saints, consciously aware of your status as a son of God.

Rich people are often very egoistical, although this isn't necessarily the case. The main point is that strong attachment to the material world, in which everything eventually disintegrates and thus can never contain anything of intrinsic value, is the obstacle that obscures us from realizing who we are and what we're capable of. Material attachment most notably manifests itself as the fear of death. But only the ego can die. The soul is eternal. Thus it is the ego that fears death, and it forces your soul to come along for the ride so long as you believe that your ego is who you are.

Struggle does not build character if anything it produces callousness. Jesus is saying that being rich is a huge waste of time, he is not saying being poor is a guarantee of goodness.

Well said Swiss.

Camels were a lot smaller back then.

>As the great Oswald Spengler already said
like the quote, he just regurgitated nietzsche's and camus wrote

...

Paul promoted all 4 of those things

just for context when jesus talks about the eye of a needle they are referring to these passage ways into city's that are just big enough for men to go through but their camel with all their gear could not, basically an example of saying you have to come as you are and all the 'things' you gathered in this lifetime cannot come with you.

The anabaptists were right

The love of money corrupts people beyond God's love.

TIL Robin Hood is in reality Jesus

Mind blown. Thanks.

I thought true jews are greedy capitalists

Glad I could activate your almonds

Implying they wouldn't be leading the communist state and make the most money, national socialism is the way user

The rich of his day were probably sinful. Its a bit of a hyperbole though

>le socialism meme
Pretty sure Jesus said to seek the kingdom of God

>'This story has been put forth since at least the 15th century, and possibly as far back as the 9th century. However, there is no widely accepted evidence for the existence of such a gate"

he meant that people who are so obsessed with money like drumpf won't get into heaven.

The key of that phrase is that the rich man needs to die in order to enter heaven or hell. Which means the rich man is rich by the end of his life, which means he probably should've used his money to do something useful. Like feeding the hungry, giving shelter to the homeless, buying clothes for the naked, caring for the sick, ... you know the deal. God gave you your talents, so you can do good with them.

This, you can't serve two masters.

Perhaps he is talking about actually being buried with material and gold

He never said that.

>The shit you can pull out of your ass to interpret the Bible.
>He'snotwrongthough

I think Jesus was a hater desu.

Overly burdensome. You are a liar.

drumpf will be welcomed into the kingdom of heaven with open arms

Yummy!

Struggle is good. Not sure where you get that.

Nice.

That you should give all your money to me.

Otherwise you'll end up in hell.

He says rich man, a man that has not value other than to covet his money.

It's not about how much you have, it's about what you did to get it and what you do with it.

Basically God is saying to live your life with a purpose. Give purpose to things you have, don't let them define who you are.

LOL. "Struggle" to make money is a embarrassing struggle, you either struggle to free yourself from the weaknesses of being human or you indulge in it. All else is irrelevant. That's what Jesus meant, life is a preparation for death, to see whether you can humble yourself before the final judgement. To be humble, one must be free of both resentment of those higher up the ladder and disdain for those below. The more fancy things you have and aspire to have, the harder it is to free yourself mentally in preparation for death.

This

It's easier to ride an elephant through the mesh of a silk screen than it is to defeat the Jews at the media game.

Getting into heaven is the least of Trump's worries, he's already fought that basilisk.

Take down the Vatican.

>Dagon (Hebrew: דגון, Tib. Dāḡôn) or Dagan (dda-gan) is an ancient Mesopotamian Assyro-Babylonian and Levantine (Canaanite) deity. He appears to have been worshipped as a fertility god in Ebla, Assyria, Ugarit and among the Amorites. The Hebrew Bible mentions him as the national god of the Philistines with temples at Ashdod and elsewhere in Gaza.
>Son of El

>The Hebrew form (אל) appears in Latin letters in Standard Hebrew transcription as El and in Tiberian Hebrew transcription as ʾĒl. El is a generic word for god that could be used for any god, including Hadad, Moloch, or Yahweh.

>Moloch (Masoretic מֹלֶךְ mōlek, Greek Μολόχ) is the Biblical name relating to a Canaanite god associated with child sacrifice

Right, so it's neither by coercion, nor only in biological families. It is however LIKE being in a family.

Jesus never once, EVER, advocating the construction of a massive violent government to confiscate some peoples' wealth and give it to others. Instead he advocated that people help each other--something that Socialists NEVER do, because their idea of "benevolence" is to spend other peoples' money on causes that make them feel all warm and cuddly inside. Undeservedly.

>b-but t-that's what socialism is!
I've never once seen crowds of people smash peoples' windows or throw firebombs into buildings to encourage other people to help their neighbors. Actually mostly it seems like an obsession with murdering people they don't like and stealing from people they're jealous of. Socialists are all scum, uniformly, and obsessed with misinterpreting the bible (which they don't believe in--but they certainly love using it as a weapon against real men) to justify theft.

Thankfully I listened to Christ when he said to sell your cloak and buy a sword if you don't already have one. Come for my property criminal, and I'll blow a hole in your belly the size of a softball and let you explain to Jesus personally how you got from moneylenders don't belong in the temple to SEIZE THE MEANS OF PRODUCTION HURRR.1
