It's kinda sad knowing that we live in a time of technology, and we have devices that contain the world's history/knowledge and yet the majority would much rather listen to the words of one individual/read an article and take it as fact instead of doing their own research. So many individuals (on both sides) who are would prefer to be spoonfed. Shit is just sad.
Sharia as its practised in western countries doesn't mean what you think it means. 90% of it is just divorce courts and such which are really no different to other methods of out of court settlement.

No its not. As long as everything practised is within the countries law is perfectly fine. Obviously chopping hands off is out of the question but inheritance and divorce law is fine. I couldn't even think of a way you could make the benign aspects of sharia law illegal besides not allowing Muslims to engage in alternative dispute resolution or regulating how they distribute their estate.
